Crazeedi We have a summer medieval reenactment about an hr away from where I live. It has been there many years, its like a month long , I drive by and the tents and medieval accoutrements are visible from highway. 5y

DarcysMom @Crazeedi That is Pennsic War. It has been happening at that site for decades. It is considered something of a pilgrimage for SCA folk. I haven't been yet, but someday 5y

Even I think it‘s a bit weird that we actually met in chemistry class because of that standard joke...but I figured it was best to be honest 😂 lol. We met in honors chemistry. Which was surprisingly laid back and social and the teacher could barely control the class... so we got to know each other there!! 😁 5y

Reggie In my gaming I‘ve been saying I cast a vote of NO CONFIDENCE to team members, lately, and sadly no one gets it. Do you stay in the EU, Lady Prime Minister TrishB or do you Brexit? 5y

TrishB @Reggie wouldn‘t have made it an option in the first place! Vote in a government to govern and make decisions. But, we are were we are and politicians should be working TOGETHER to get the best for the country. Not fighting in party and across party. They don‘t care about the people and the country, only about themselves and their party. Disgraceful behaviours from both main parties. 5y

People who are just in for the numbers can rack up the first 80k quickly by following and being followed. But after that. That counter doesn‘t not move fast at all I‘m. It in for the numbers. Never really look, but you will see people post when they hit a milestone. 5y

LibrarianRyan @ReadingDownUnder I have 2 apps I use. Canva is what I did this in. I like the desk top version better than the app but the app isn‘t bad. The #litsyaward posts are done in an app called pic collage. It‘s really more for layering pictures but people to a pretty good job adding words in that too (not me). 5y

HOTPock3tt @JoScho I didn‘t know you were childless by choice either!! I am the same. And it‘s true, it‘s very rare. I feel like some people treat us as if we‘re some kind of cold, unfeeling monsters 🤨 I love kids, but I have NEVER wanted my own. Period. I‘ve always known this. 5y

JoScho @HOTPock3tt yes! Exactly. I am great with kids but just don‘t want any of my own. And yes people expect us to want kids of our own. My favorite is oh you will change your mind 🙄 5y

And as I got older and based on where I live the odd were that my future guy would already have kids so it didn‘t matter. Then I got with josh and no one says a word. They probably don‘t want us to procreate. 5y

I hear “you better give that man some kids!” Well my husband doesn‘t want kids either so why would I give him something he doesn‘t want? 🙄 and I also hear” but you guys would have such cute kids!” So we should have kids despite not wanting them because they would be cute? Thats ridiculous 😒 5y

JoScho @HOTPock3tt exactly and always with the “you would make a great mom” no shit but still not having them. Honestly, I think it is rude as hell when people even ask because they don‘t know the reason isn‘t a medical issue. I have started being vague and saying “not sure it‘s in the card for us”. That seems to shut them up quick! It is nobody‘s business. 5y

TheBookHippie @JoScho people tell me I should have more kids or why didn't you...I tell them the truth I have hundreds they all reside right here in my heart. If they press I do the truth 10 pregnancies two live kiddos almost 18 years apart I had my son instead of menopause they ripped out my uterus to save my life. Conversation ender 🤷🏽‍♀️😳🙌🏻 sometimes people are idiots 🤦🏽‍♀️ 5y

JoScho @TheBookHippie yeah they are. I teach 900 kids a week and I love them but I just don‘t feel need to have my own. Seriously people do need to worry about themselves but I am sure telling them the truth does end the conversation. 5y
