pickI loved this book. I have never read a Cupid/Psyche retelling...and I have read a loooot. The story was well paced, the characters well formed, and there was plenty of angst and anguish. Finished it in one sitting! Definitely recommend this one, especially if you are growing tired of the same mythology and fairy tale retellings.

I've been really depressed since my surgery. Maybe it's the pain, or the exhaustion, or the meds. I just haven't felt like me, and sure haven't done much reading. Today, I said enough is enough. I decided to forgo my pain medication and take the kids to the library. Do I hurt? Yes. Am I tired? Absolutely. But now I'm settled in with my #teaandabook letting the kids run wild while watching their new movie. Most like me I've felt in days.
Finally reading this book!! It is speaking to my soul.

so-soSo, I actually enjoyed this book for the story, but boy howdy did the characters tick me off A LOT. I wish I could do something between "pick" and "so-so," because I do think it's a emotional ride. I spent a lot of time internally screaming at the characters, but I read both book 1 and book 2 in one night. If you are looking for an angsty read, this is a good choice. If you hate spending time yelling at the characters, just walk on by.
I love this series so hard!!! I'm starting book 2 in my hard copy read, but I've read the whole series 3 times on my kindle. #turnermotherfuckingcampbell
pickI love this book so much, and have read it (and the whole series) five times. I am getting ready for my sixth reread in honor of the N9ne release!!! I love the characters in these books, and miss them like phantom limbs when I finish.

It's so so so hard to choose between napping and reading right now. On the one hand, I only slept 3 hours last night, so I need to rest. On the other hand, I only slept 3 hours because I was finishing the second book in this series, so if I keep going, I can sleep once I finish them all. Decisions, decisions...
Good coffee and a phenomenal book. Perfect for today. And yes...I break my bindings.
To me, this is the sign of a well-written book. I absorbed it so quickly that the binding is broken, it's misshapen, and won't fully close when I put it down. I just binge read this book in 5 hours. So freaking amazing!!!
Loving this all over again!!!!!!
I am so obsessed with this book that I had to buy the ebook, too...that way I can read it anywhere, anytime...
