Working on some Cricut designs while I listen to the tagged audiobook. Here is a design I just made for the lovely @TheSpineView ❤️
I‘ve read a few books by this author and enjoyed them all, so I have high hopes for this one. 🙌🏻
This isn‘t my most favorite book ever. While the story was interesting and kept me wanting more... there were times it felt like it was dragging on. All that being said. I would recommend this book because it‘s a great story with twits and turns you don‘t see coming.
I finished this book today. It was an easy-to-follow listen, which isn't always the case. The story was engaging, and I was eager to return to it when I was away. I wouldn't say the protaganist is dimensional or developed; her ill-advised choices were downright frustrating. She's a flight attendant who wakes up next to a corpse and doesn't know who the murderer is. It was an enjoyable ride with a slapdash epilogue.
Always have to have an audiobook going and this one is next.
3 stars for me. This was a mediocre book about an alcoholic flight attendant who thinks she might have killed a man she drunkenly slept with the night before waking up to his dead body next to her. She makes a lot of bad choices that she recognizes as bad choices over and over again even up until the end (which she blames on her father's genes). If you're interested in listening/reading about an alcoholic's psyche, though, this sure is your book.
I think I had about 6 3/4 hours of reading for #24b4monday. Was at work both on Saturday and Sunday and at church on Saturday evening and started late on Friday, so I didn‘t get as much reading as I would have liked to.
This was not quite what I expected. The thriller elements were interesting and twisty although I did get most of them. The main character was an extreme example of self distraction to the point that is was hard to empathise. It also finished abruptly and was a little too nicely tied up for me. A quick holiday read
I owe some very big thanks to Books A Million. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT is their April Literary Book Club Pick. Also? Wow, do I love the company! Which ones have you read? #grateful
Ok, ok this is not a complex psychological thriller. It‘s a quick and easy murder mystery with a self-destructive protagonist who drinks too much and has too many one night stands. Lol I dream of a day when our heroine isn‘t a drunk ( girl on the train) or on meds ( girl in cabin 10). Who‘s your fav mystery heroine?
Seen this as a daily deal today and trying to decide if I want to get it. Has anyone read it and if so what was your thoughts? Need help please!!!
I just can‘t. It‘s just too stupid but admittedly, I did finish it. I, then, proceeded to roll my eyes so hard that I‘ve now seen the inside of my own skull which is a shame because I do like the author‘s other works.
I personally would like to thank @ChrisBohjalian for joining us for the Litsy Book Club! Chris is so warm, gracious and contributes greatly to our world of literature! I am so honored to have met him, have him be part of the book club along with Litsy and read his amazing stores! I also want to thank all the ladies in the book club who have become beloved friends!
Such a great book! Can‘t wait to discuss it! I kept thinking, what would I do in her situation?? Maybe I should always buy some BLEACH when I travel!!
We hope you‘ll join us for our first live discussion of The Flight Attendant by Chris Bohjalian this Thursday at 7:30 EST. A link will be posted 15 minutes before the discussion. Happy Reading!
Just finished this one up on audible. It wasn‘t really my cup of tea. I struggle with these books I consider broken women thrillers. I can absolutely see why people who enjoy these types of reads would love it though and by the end I had gotten some investment.
This made my day earlier this week. It was posted on Instagram by Kaley Cuoco -- the utterly perfect and spectacularly talented actor (and producer!) who will be bringing my flight attendant, Cassie Bowden, to life in the upcoming TV series, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT. In the meantime? Still nine episodes left of the always brilliant and always hysterical THE BIG BANG THEORY.
I am compulsively on time. Nothing raises my stress level more than being late. This book almost made me late for work this morning. (Thanks @ChrisBohjalian ) I had to leave the last 22 pages until dinner time! And if I told you the suspense that left me in I‘d have to hide this under a spoiler tag. Another excellent read from an author I discovered by accident and now actively seek out.
