Love, love, love! This is 100% not a normal haunted house story. I absolutely adored all the characters. I thought I knew exactly what was happening the whole time, and even got a little mad when it didn't. Just to realize this book was written so well to drive you to that conclusion, completely tricking you. I'm impressed this author was able to convince me so wholeheartedly on the wrong conclusion. 5/5!

This was an okay book. I am giving most of my stars to the atmosphere and setting. I loved the spooky vibes and set in Hollywood investigating an old famous murder. But, I felt that the author dropped the ball on everything else. The characters were stale, everything came out of left field, and felt very anti climatic. I just wanted more. 2.5/5

I did enjoy this book for the main part. I liked the fact that everyone knew this show, but it was more like a fever dream. There wasn't any evidence of it ever existing other than in people's minds, which can be unreliable at times. But, the ending got to be a tad confusing for me. I felt like it just wasn't really the ending I was expecting or wanting. 3.5/5

For me, I have to somewhat like the characters. I did like some, but some were just insufferable. I liked the story for the main part. But, I just couldn't stand these people. I really didn't care if the girl came back or not 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3.5

I really liked this book in the beginning. It has you gripped immediately. I was constantly wondering what happened and looking for clues everywhere. But, the book reveals what happens before the 50% mark. The things that happen in this book are way too far and in-between. If I had to listen to them collecting rain water one more time... I'm giving 3 stars because I did really enjoy the first half of this book. 3/5

I liked what this book was about. I liked the lyricalness. But also, this was supposed to be a thriller. It felt more like a really long monolog or biography. If I went into this book thinking that, I might have liked it more. I felt as tho I was always waiting for nothing to ever really happen.. 2/5

Are we sure this is the actual second book to this series? Because I loved the first one, and this one was just bad. This was not the same Millie as the first book! The first book she was determined and strong! This book she was annoying and complained about everything! I saw the ending coming from the first 100 pages... it felt like bad acting, but in a book? Just cringey. 2/5

Loved!! I haven't loved a Riley Sager in a minute, but this one was great! Every time I thought I knew what was going on, nope! I felt like the first twist was obvious once it was revealed, and I can't believe I didn't see it! I thought it didn't get a little outlandish near the ending, but I still loved it! 5/5

This book was so fast-paced, sucked me in immediately, and I couldn't put it down! This author is really good at putting red herrings in her book, so you keep yourself guessing constantly. The only reason I'm taking .5 off is because I guessed a lot of the ending early on, but not all of it. 4.5/5

I really wanted to like this one 😫 and a lot of people are still probably going to like this. But, me personally, this book did the one thing I can not stand in books. 2 main characters, switching POV, and recounting the same exact things. You would get a long chapter about the first main character, then switch to the second person and read the whole thing again through their perspective. Personally, 1/5

I'll give this one 2 stars just because I really liked the setting. This book will leave you with the feeling that nobody can be that blind. The main character misses every single red flag. I saw every plot twist coming from a mile away. It's tiring having these great locations and ideas, then throwing in whiny annoying characters, bad plot, and even worse, ending. I loved Diana's first book, hated her second, and now 3rd is just meh. 2/5

This one was a huge letdown. I'm going to give it 2 stars because 80% of this book is really good. I enjoyed the survivor aspect. But I thought there would be a lot more chaos and more that happened. Also, it just ends, with no explanation of anything.

This book was beautiful. Yes, the real story is sad and tragic and will rip your heart out. But I loved the story within. How mothers will be held to a higher standard than anyone else. No matter what you do, you will be scrutinized. Everyone thinks they can do better than you. The guilt mothers have to carry around every day and still smile as if it's okay. If you're a mother, this story will absolutely hit different. 5/5

This is a super underrated book! I found this in the free section of audible, and I think it's fantastic! I think something like this happening is completely plausible! I saw some people upset because the author brought up the theory of not having access to the internet, but what I thought it meant was what people would do when they knew nobody was looking. Nobody to record and put it out there. I didn't care for the story in interview format. 4/5

I did end up liking this book, but it could have been considerably condensed. There were multiple pages and pages about how the wind felt and just walking and walking and thinking. Also, I was confused a lot during this book. Im not sure if it was me not understanding, or the author not explaining well enough. I also really didn't like the ending. It almost made the book feel as tho what was the point? 3/5

This one didn't work for me at all, I thought 98% of this book was a romance, I even stopped and checked early on in the book. The last 2% was, I guess, a thriller, more just baffling. Didn't make any sense to me. Also, the main character constantly changing her mind was giving me whip lash. 1/5

I really enjoyed this one! It took a minute to get into because 4 characters are given off the bat, and it took me a minute to remember who was who. The style of back and forth writing took me a minute to understand and get into. I still don't really see the point of it. I also think this book would have been good without it. Just the story. Not a story within a story within another story because I ended up loving the actual written story 4.5/5

The book *quoted*: Coincidences in books is just bad writing".
The book: Has too many coincidences to count and gives everyone a million lives even after obvious fatal wounds.
This book was very down the middle for me. It was a fun ride but I just couldn't look over the obvious plot holes and coincidences in this book. I wanted to love it, but.
It was just okay. 3/5

I really love Greek mythology and especially when it comes to Medusas story. So I was happy to see a book on her story. Which it was. But it also was about other people's stories as well. I wish it would have just focused on Medusa and her story, not being the prelude to someone else's story. Also, there were a lot of freek goddesses and gods' names thrown around. You need a pretty good handle on the mythology before going into this one. 3.5/5

This is a hard hitting book for me. I saw a lot of people DNF and give low ratings because of a child SA scene. I know it's hard to read things like this, because none of us want to think about these things happening to children. But the fact of the matter is, they do. And I hope by reading or listening to a scene including this, could bring a better understanding to why they might not have told or even the feelings after. Wish I could say more4/5

I wanted to love this book so much. I time travel thriller, what could go wrong? Apparently a lot. I was so invested in the beginning. But then the middle was awful. Just rambling on and on about how much she loves her son and husband, not understanding how things could get like this... for at least 100 pages. And the ending? Are you kidding. I loved Alex North's last 2 books. And this one just fell apart for me. I was uninterested and sooo confused. There are so many characters. And it's following some theory dealing with philosophy. I just honestly didn't care. Really was a pity. Also since there was so many characters that when you found something out from one person's point of view, you'd have to read about the other povs discovering that same thing. Very annoying. 2/5

I liked this book. I cried a few times with question and answers that resignated with me and things I've also endured. I think this book is beautiful. But also the negatives. I felt like the question answer style, got to be a little too much in one sitting and repetitive. Also I did feel like the author talked a little too much about her own life, and I feel like some questions still went without answers at the end of her life story. 3/5

I don't think anything in this series will top the first book. I still enjoyed the ride of this book, especially because I love the characters. But for how many things these characters have gotten into, how are they still making so many mistakes?? Also there is something that finally happens in this book and I shouted for joy! But at the end it threatened to go back again. One step froward.. 2 steps back.. Getting a little annoying. 3/5

So I'm thinking I'm going to give this one right down the middle of 3 stars. Because I keep going back and forth on how many flaws this book has, but that I did like it while I was reading it for the most part. I use to love watching crappy syfy movies when I was a kid, and this book reminded me of that so much. This book started out fun, but I wish it would have been stressed that it's half a porno, and not typical stuff either..

But the way the author portrayed the owner and workers as tho they might be evil, didn't sit with me. So I'm in the minority of people who didn't like this book. There are 3 POVS, 2 being of women from this serial killers past. And I feel like a lot of it was glorifying the serial killer. Also he was a serial killer and I felt as though the book is saying he shouldn't be on death row because he did a bad thing but isn't a bad person? Which is easy to say, until it's your loved one who was killed. 2/5
