I usually really enjoy James Patterson, but not this time. It was just so unbelievable, and nothing moved forward.

In A Bakeshop Mystery #2, Jules accepts an invitation to join a TV baking contest to help save her family's bakery. But she soon finds herself wrapped up in another murder mystery where every one has secrets they are trying to hide. Who was willing to go as far as murder to keep it hidden. I enjoyed this one as much as the first in the series.
Rarely to I give cozy 5 stars but I did for this one. Juliette returns home to a small town in Oregon after a failed marriage. Her plan was to help her mother in the family bakeshop till she figures out her next move only to learn that the family business is in trouble. Soon the Tourist have arrived for the town's Shakespeare Festival, there's a wild forest fire, and now a murder on the loose. Loved it and movin on to the next book in this series
My first bail of the year. I spent hours and about 50% in but I can't do it. It's extremely repetitive, and the character development just isn't there for me. Has great reviews, major letdown for me
Last book of 2022, it was a really fun and lighthearted read. Who killed Santa on his sleigh during the Christmas Parade? Mrs. Clause, Rudolph, The Grinch, one of his elves?
The Cozy Mystery Reading Challenge of December book of the Month.
Fun Cozy Christmas Romance. Story about the love between two sisters. One who appears to have a perfect life and one has the appearance of being rebellious and carefree. The choice of 2 attractive men. A run down book shop but what awaits inside is a treasure. Appearances vs reality. What I didn't like was that it was a little long winded and a little too predictable but overall a good holiday read that feels like a hallmark movie.
Starting my first Christmas theme audiobook. New Author for me as well.
Really enjoy this cozy. Love spending time and getting to know the MC. Look forward to reading more of this series. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
My favorite book club's November Read. I found them on Facebook and been enjoying the group. Cozy Mystery Reading Challenge
#cozychallenges #Cozymystery
Made it 40% thru but couldn't continue.. Amateur writing, one evil ghost with a house full of ghosts that act more like Casper the friendly ghost, wild goose chase for his missing parents, was not enjoying this one.
Comfy Harry Potter PJ'S, Green Tea and one of my favorite Agatha Christie novels. Mid week Evening plan
My aunt gave me this Hocus Pocus coffee mug. She knows me well and I think I'm loved just a tad little bit. Really enjoyed the new movie, now they need to do a Prequel. Those 3 little girls did an awesome job
Who doesn't love a good Agatha Christie Murder Mystery. Perfect for this time of year

This book goes by these 3 titles. Corrag tells her story in a jail cell waiting for execution for Witchcraft. She's fled her home in England for safety and found herself in the Scottish Highlands. Where she befriended the villagers of Glencoe and finally found some peace and a place to call her own. But trouble soon arrives at their doorstep. I also learned about the Glencoe Massacre of 1692. Highly recommend this for fans of Historical Fiction

Decided to create a instragram for books, art, recipes. Just an idea but I'm open to support and suggestions
Wanted to like this more than I actually did. Great Plot but the character development just wasn't there for me. I'm undecided If I want to continue the series or not..My rating ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
Another Agatha Raisin Murder Mystery in the books. Agatha struggles with the decision to date a younger man while solves murder. Really enjoying this series
My daughter taking a class in Holocaust Literature so after she was finished with it. I picked it up. I'm numb with emotions and in a book hangover from this true story of a survivor who was only around 15 at the time. Been awhile since a book has made me cry. "Human suffering anywhere concerns men and women everywhere"~ Elie Wiesel. ☆☆☆☆☆
Short interesting read. I been curious about this book for awhile and glad I eventually got to it. Not my Typical read
Didn't care for this book at all, weak Character Development and unlikable characters, I honestly didn't care of any of them, and plot was Meh at best. Some twist and turns but really unbelievable and Silly. Don't get the hype and a totally waste of my time. Only gave it 2 🌟 on Goodreads
Making my way thru this series again. Love Harry Potter and recently got a new lunch box
I've read a few of her books before fun, entertaining, lighthearted romances. It's what I wanted and expected but thats not what I got. I got so much more. What I got was a hard look at many social issues, Race, social classes, women's rights, and our criminal justice system. Do not let this cover and title fool you. Its about life's sugar and salt. One of the best books I've read this year.
As a proud Appalachian from SouthWest Virginia, grow up only an hour from Troublesome Creek, I love love these books. So happy to read about our beautiful Appalachian culture, society, and landscapes. Our stories are just now starting to get told. Picture of my new pillow that was gifted to me by a special friend, it's even personalized my name on it.
I love this series but this one was only ok for me. Agatha follows James to Cyprus after their ditched wedding. She just seemed so desperate for him. I missed the village and people of Carsley, and wasn't interested in this plot in another country. The introduction of Charles was nice and I hope he remains in the series. I think he's a better match for Agatha. I'll continue on in the series and find out.
After visiting Hogwarts and picking my own wand from Ollivander's Wand Shop in Diagon Alley. I remember how much I love this series so i decided to listen to them all over again from the beginning. #Ravenclaw
This grab my interest because it's so different about a polyamorous couple. I'm polyamorous and was thrilled to see a book about it. Well it was just so bad, I made it thru 25% but couldn't go on. But on a wild guess because polyamorous couples do not live this way, she's probably crazy stalking and delusional. But that's just my guess
Anyone else participating in the Big Library read. Unlimited copies on the Libby app for a few more days. I chose the Audio version
Made my way thru Book #5 of this series. My favorite so far. I think what made this one so good was the fact that the reader learns a lot more about Agatha's past.
Short Read, Only a little over an hour but glad I listened to it. I learned a little more about Agatha, her past, and her dreams.
After starting a few books that I quickly put down, I decided to listen to the next Agatha Raisin. They have became my comfort read. Penelope Keith does am great job narrating this great British Cozy series.
This is my 3rd Chris Bohjalian novel, after Midwives and The Hour of The Witch both of which I rated 5 stars. I enjoy it but was my least of the 3 and I will probably rate a 3 on good reads. Still will not be my last of his. The ending was unpredictable but very unrealistic and I found it humorous for some reason. Shes a very unlikable character that has a drinking problem which causes a hard fast downward spiral.
Ok, Probably an unpopular opinion but I've decided to bail on this one. The writing is slow and I've found myself rereading Passages because her writing style is confusing to me. Half way thru it and just not liking it at all. The picture is of My finch so if anyone has the app you will understand why he's so cute. My code is L8Z2HEL3VX is interested in being my neighbor
Finished and Enjoyed Where The Crawdads Sing so I decided to try this one. As someone who grew up in a strict Pentecostal household during the summer months when I went to visit my mother , this may hit close to home.
I tend to avoid hype up books, but my daughter who absolutely hates to read asked me to take her to the library for this book. Then she proceeded to fly thru it and is now insisting that I do too. So here it goes.
Simple explanations are usually the wisest ones - a person can complicate a straightforward situation with unnecessary dramatics and end up in a complete mess.
Helping me realize that my pain is my pain but I'm also reliving generation after generation of trauma surrounding abandonment. My mother abandoned me physically, she felt abandoned by my grandmother emotionally who felt the same way emotionally about my great grandmother who was sent away from the family at the age of 3 . I knew our family history, but this book help me piece it all together and why this keeps happening
In a time before history, in a harsh and beautiful land near the top of the world, womanhood comes cruelly and suddenly to beautiful, young Chagak. Surviving the brutal massacre of her tribe, she sets out across the icy waters off America's northwest.
I'm slowly making my way thru thus wonderful series. So far, this one is my favorite and found myself laughing even when they found the body. Only the British can make murder this humorous. I read this in a day, I just couldn't put it down
Written very badly. I struggled thru the entire book. What I did like was learning about these cases, but I found the writing was repetitive and the fact she mentions several times how horrible America was when these cases had absolutely nothing to do with America was a little off putting. Also strays from the victims to other cases that may or may not be connected. It was just really confusing.
After reading a few heavy reads, Starting this light hearted cozy on lunch
Now that I've finished and thought about it.. Here my review, I hated it.. The Characters are blend and unlikable all of them, Very repetitive, a few good power points made but overall extremely boring.. I felt like I was reading an essay instead of story. I wanted to read at least one classic this year and I accomplished that. After hearing such high praise about this book for as long as I can remember it, I'm very disappointed.
Halfway thru this audio and I'm struggling with it.. Does it get better?
Second Book in the Hungarian Tea House Mysteries.. I like the fact it introduced new characters, but the plot didn't hold my interest like the first book in the series did.. I will continue on and eventually read the third book because I do enjoy these characters and I want to know what is in store for them in the future
“The more time you spend thinking about yourself, the more suffering you will experience"- Dalai Lama.. I can not express how therapeutic this was for me, life changing and thought provoking. I can not recommend this enough.
My first Sherlock Holmes short story, I listened to this as I went about house chores.. Definitely a delight and will not be my last
