Very good. Another powerful story from this wonderful author. Even though this is a love story between two people it is also a love story towards yourself. It shows that sometimes you just need to deal with your own love connection with yourself before anything else. Love how the author uses the island as a character in itself. Thank you #PenguinRandomHouse for inviting me to read this via #Netgalley

Good. Nice charming story about the power of reading especially during your childhood, loved the references to many wonderful children books. Sometimes the cast of characters got confusing. Also portrays the nostalgia of small village community in the 1950's.

Very good. It had me hooked from the very first page as the characters were well written and also the vacation spots were so detailed that I felt like I was there. Lovely romantic story between two unlikely characters which made me want to discover what happens between them. Thank you #Penquin for inviting me to read this via #Netgalley.

Kimberlone Interesting if this was an ARC, they must have updated the title and cover for the final published version 1y
Birdsong28 @Kimberlone They might have done also it depends on your location as some countries have the title changed as it has come out in the UK on Kindle as my title. It's weird why they do it. 😀📚📖 1y

Very good. Love how this author can make you keep you on the edge of your seat as you have to keep turning the pages as the story grips you from page 1. This is a story of secrets and revenge but also a sweet story about how friendship can form with the most different of people.

Very good. Love how this author can make you believe that you have been reading one story but then twists it right in the middle so it turns it on its head and you are left questioning what you have just read. Shows how even though you think you know your friends and your friendship with them that it can all change in a single moment. Thank you #Netgalley for the free copy of this book.

Good. An excellent atmospheric book that will keep you turning the pages. It shows the horror of the witch trials in rich detail and how people were deceived into believing what was being done was actually for the greater good.

Good. Full of old Hollywood glamour as it is set against the golden age of Hollywood in the 1940's and 50's. It is about how a young woman navigates growing up in this environment and how her life will become shaped by it.
