Fitness: I changed my goals last week to 35,000 per week. I barely hit that this week, but I hit it...35,200. I‘m actually trying to relax before summer. so yeah lol
Books: Finished strong with 4.5 books this week (half of one read last week). I‘m on my summer break and my kids are in school. I don‘t know if I‘ll be so lucky this upcoming week to have as many. Lol
Points: 45 this week (+33 last week)= 78 total
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yesterday I wrapped up the first book & said I wasn‘t sure if I was going to continue with this series (not because I didn‘t like it but because there are so many books out there to read). A few of you chimed in and said to read the next two. Well, I‘m glad I listened. 😊 Book 2 was really good & was action packed. Interested to see where book 3 takes things. I do think I‘m going to take a short break before continuing though.
1. Usually whatever is next on my library loans, but sometimes I go with what mood I‘m in, and I try to read my BOTM and Amazon First Reads that month too.
2. Yes (if I rode), but if I‘m in a moving vehicle it needs to be audio.
3. Noises. I need headphones or earplugs if there are distractions.
4. Water and lollipops lol 😂
5. @Prettytears @bbdeese @ItsAngel @ecummings Hi! 👋
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don‘t read too many mysteries/suspense books because I always manage to figure them out. This was no exception. Despite that, I still enjoyed this book and its characters. I doubt I continue with the series, but it does leave you wanting more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed this second book (which can be read as a stand-alone, since they are mostly unrelated, outside of them being cousins). I found it fell short in a couple areas, and a little unrealistic in other areas. Overall, it is a really sweet story.
This first week went well! I reached my step goal 52,288/50,000. Not always easy when you want to relax these last weeks of your kids being in school. 😂 I know that may not sound like much to some, but for me I sometimes struggle not working out of home.
I will have read 2 books by tomorrow. My goal is 12 books overall, so I‘m on target.
@wanderinglynn 26 points last week + 7 points = 33 points total. #BookFitnessChallenge
Which books have had you so captivated that you couldn‘t do anything but think about them? Those books you can‘t seem to put down to even eat.
4. Probably pretty much any comic book movie.
6. Dr. Pepper or Water
7. Playing with the neighborhood kids.
8. I don‘t know anyone well enough to tag. 🙈
First day of my summer break and I spent it finally reading this gem. ❤️ I couldn‘t put it down. I have read a couple of her books (Me Without You is one of my favorite books), and have yet to be disappointed. This is a new genre for her and I am pleased. I loved how these two stories intertwined. #BookFitnessChallenge #BookOne • 26 Points to start. @wanderinglynn
This has been my life the 4-5 days. No reading for me. Tomorrow is my last final. 🙌🏻 Then I can get started on the #BookFitnessChallenge (today is the last day of you want to sign-up...head on over to @wanderinglynn to join), and finally get to reading The Things We Cannot Say and The Songs of Us. 😊
Typically I don‘t finish books I don‘t love. However, for the ones I‘ve finished....I‘m going to go with Looking For Alaska. Probably an unpopular opinion but I did not like this book and I usually enjoy his work. @RavenclawPrincess913 #RavenclawPrincess913
Looking for some quick read recommendations since this is finals week...preferably something light with a little romance and humor. What are your favorites?(Tagged my most recent read.) #BookRecommendations
My April reads. Read 3 Outlander books (only 1 left in the series until BEES is released), and a few others to boot. I‘m thinking May might need to be some lighter titles. #AprilReads
⭐️⭐️💫This pains me to write. The portions of this book that had Jamie, Claire, Roger and Brianna were a good 4-5 stars. The rest though (especially the first half of book)...sigh. I just couldn‘t handle it. Why? Just why? Unnecessary, I think. And way too much. I felt like this was unpolished too. • I have heard great things about book 8 (and I‘m obviously very invested lol) so I‘ll continue on. I want to read their whole story no matter what.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Omg. This was amazing. My favorite book of the Outlander series so far - I could hardly put it down. I loved everything about it, and am now interested in Brianna & Roger‘s story as well (I was irritated with so much of them before). But this book was all about Claire for me, and wow is all I have to say. Also, as a fan of the show, I cannot wait to see it played out in season 6. ❤️
1. Full House @BarbaraTheBibliophage
2. Travel to a tropical island. @Melissa_J
3. Usually whatever is available next for me at library or that month‘s Amazon pick. @emtobiasz
4. The Outlander series. Picked it up a few times and couldn‘t get into it. Now I‘m on 6th book and can‘t put the series down. @youneverarrived
5. How many books do you read at a time? Me-Usually 2. One heavy/lengthy and one lighter.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of my favorites from the series so far. If you look at it as a standalone (which it is not) then I‘d rate it less as there wasn‘t any major storyline, imo. However, as a book in a series, I rate it well. The only thing that irritates me of her writing is she should know by now that her audience knows the backstory and main characters‘ physical descriptions. Sometimes you want to include descriptions and other times it is unnecessary.
Has anyone read? Thoughts? I am so excited to get started on this soon. I have read a couple of Kelly Rimmer‘s books and have fallen in love with her work. This is totally different for her so I can‘t wait to compare, and it is historical fiction, so it is right up my alley.
First off I LOVE the Outlander series. I could do without all the descriptions of their hair and recaps, but I love it. I‘ve been struggling to keep moving with this series. Mainly since the introduction of Brianna and Roger. I don‘t hate them, but their relationship bores me. I‘m really enjoying this book despite the back and forth, and I am finally coming around. That being said, nothing has really happened and I‘m nearly halfway through. 😂
