Fitness: I changed my goals last week to 35,000 per week. I barely hit that this week, but I hit it...35,200. I‘m actually trying to relax before summer. so yeah lol
Books: Finished strong with 4.5 books this week (half of one read last week). I‘m on my summer break and my kids are in school. I don‘t know if I‘ll be so lucky this upcoming week to have as many. Lol
Points: 45 this week (+33 last week)= 78 total

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yesterday I wrapped up the first book & said I wasn‘t sure if I was going to continue with this series (not because I didn‘t like it but because there are so many books out there to read). A few of you chimed in and said to read the next two. Well, I‘m glad I listened. 😊 Book 2 was really good & was action packed. Interested to see where book 3 takes things. I do think I‘m going to take a short break before continuing though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don‘t read too many mysteries/suspense books because I always manage to figure them out. This was no exception. Despite that, I still enjoyed this book and its characters. I doubt I continue with the series, but it does leave you wanting more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed this second book (which can be read as a stand-alone, since they are mostly unrelated, outside of them being cousins). I found it fell short in a couple areas, and a little unrealistic in other areas. Overall, it is a really sweet story.

suzisteffen ahhhh I missed the related to the first book part! Thank you! 6d
baes @suzisteffen Yes! They were at their wedding! It was the one with 20 guests. They mentioned Michael not coming to another wedding too, because his fiancé didn‘t like crowds. 6d
suzisteffen @baes 😳😳😳😳 how ... HOW DID I MISS THAT?!?! Wow. I really liked the depiction of the woman in this book, and the author‘s discussion of how she was like the author‘s mom. 6d

This first week went well! I reached my step goal 52,288/50,000. Not always easy when you want to relax these last weeks of your kids being in school. 😂 I know that may not sound like much to some, but for me I sometimes struggle not working out of home.

I will have read 2 books by tomorrow. My goal is 12 books overall, so I‘m on target.

baes Okay @eri.reads and @Dragon Do I need to love fantasy to enjoy this book? I‘m not opposed to fantasy, but I‘m not familiar with the genre, and not sure if it is my thing. The closest I‘ve gotten is the Twilight series (which I‘ll admit I loved). 2w
Dragon I think it‘s a more “grownup “ version of Twilight. The author is a historian so she is very detailed. Probably closer to Outlander. 2w
baes @Dragon Oooh interesting! 2w
eri.reads @baes I don't get a Twilight vibe from it at all (although I loved the Twilight series too!). Like Dragon said the author is a historian so it's got loads of history and is more for the adult audience rather than YA. It's pretty thick, but the writing flows really well. 2w

baes @Buechersuechtling Thanks! This portion we‘re looking at is Fibonacci sequence and probability. The class is Modern Math...it is a mixture of everything. 2w
Buechersuechtling @baes Modern maths❓ Really❓😂 I‘m not so much into numbers and figures. Modern art I know and modern technology too, of course, but modern maths❓ I always thought maths would be dateless. Obviously my fault. 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ but of course good luck, anyway. (This Fibonacci thing I only know from TV documentations or Dan Brown novels.) (edited) 2w
baes @Buechersuechtling ha My thoughts exactly. 😂 They have to change everything to make it different lol I think they called it that because you apply it to real life situations instead of just taking a class of equations. So for example, if I had to figure out how many different ways I could create a 6 digit password with first two digits being different...how would I do that. Or how to deliver package quickest route. Statistics more or less. 2w

⭐️⭐️💫This pains me to write. The portions of this book that had Jamie, Claire, Roger and Brianna were a good 4-5 stars. The rest though (especially the first half of book)...sigh. I just couldn‘t handle it. Why? Just why? Unnecessary, I think. And way too much. I felt like this was unpolished too. • I have heard great things about book 8 (and I‘m obviously very invested lol) so I‘ll continue on. I want to read their whole story no matter what.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Omg. This was amazing. My favorite book of the Outlander series so far - I could hardly put it down. I loved everything about it, and am now interested in Brianna & Roger‘s story as well (I was irritated with so much of them before). But this book was all about Claire for me, and wow is all I have to say. Also, as a fan of the show, I cannot wait to see it played out in season 6. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of my favorites from the series so far. If you look at it as a standalone (which it is not) then I‘d rate it less as there wasn‘t any major storyline, imo. However, as a book in a series, I rate it well. The only thing that irritates me of her writing is she should know by now that her audience knows the backstory and main characters‘ physical descriptions. Sometimes you want to include descriptions and other times it is unnecessary.

Has anyone read? Thoughts? I am so excited to get started on this soon. I have read a couple of Kelly Rimmer‘s books and have fallen in love with her work. This is totally different for her so I can‘t wait to compare, and it is historical fiction, so it is right up my alley.

First off I LOVE the Outlander series. I could do without all the descriptions of their hair and recaps, but I love it. I‘ve been struggling to keep moving with this series.
