And it‘s certainly fast-paced with an #Obnoxious villain who is #Missing more of a backstory to explain his brand of evil! Good book but predictable at times

I almost felt wrong reading this book. I was drawn in, couldn‘t put it down, but could hardly stand reading about this twisted marriage. It was a serious page turner & also the creepiest book ever!

I've heard mixed reviews on this one. I tend to go towards psychological thrillers though so had to give this book a chance. I really enjoyed the book. The main character was a little repetitive but I think it was just to extend the seriousness of what was going on. Makes you wonder about what other people are going through when no one is watching.

This book was disturbing on many levels. It really brought to light however how things can seem perfect when they aren‘t.

A textbook nightmare. The fear of losing your free will (that‘s as far as this scenario goes- I think the author was either to afraid or too unimaginative to take it anywhere truly dark), is all this book is. Neither the characters, the story, nor the writing is strong enough to engage a reader in any other way. Though i do not share this feat, I did, nevertheless, finish this book, which says something. A relatively entertaining vacation read.

One of best psycho thriller I have read. I coud not put the book down till I was done with it. And you know it is a good book, when you cannot stop thinking about it even after many days.

Overall a good psychological thriller. The MC was a bit of a dum dum from the beginning, but you quickly forget about that as you root for her to survive.

Absolutely brilliant! I tore through this psychological thriller in one day (by the pool 😃) and loved every gripping chapter. Told in my favourite format of chapters alternating between the past and the present, this is a story of mental manipulation and psychological blackmail. A must read for fans of the film Sleeping With The Enemy. I‘ll say no more for fear of spoilers but READ THIS BOOK! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is about A 3 1/2 stars for me. Characterization was a bit flat and much repetitiveness throughout. Definitely needed more creativity. However it did keep me turning the pages quickly.

I decided on “pick” because I definitely wanted to know the ending. I‘m glad I finished it BUT, I‘m left wanting to know more. I guess that‘s a good thing! Will there be a sequel?! I think the overall storyline is a little disturbing. Why does Jack feel so strongly about targeting whom he wants to? It‘s not quite explained and it‘s a bit morbid. Wish the last chapter was dedicated to the present life.

This was one hell of a psychological thriller. I blew through it in a day. I will definitely check out her other books!

This book was a little bit on my edge kind of read. His mental abuse on his wife was out of this world and his control that he had on her mind and her life was wow! Enjoyed this read📖

Bought this one in the airport last week before heading to sunny Florida! So far, so good! Brought to the beach and had a lull due to coming down with a bad sinus cold! Anyone else find it difficult to read while sick?! I‘m halfway through!

A decent, quick read.

Jack and Grace have a questionable relationship. Why does Jack always go where Grace goes? Why does Jack insist on doing everything with his wife? As the story unfolds aspects get extremely uncomfortable (and slightly unrealistic) Grace is made to live an isolated life.

Oh my! This was such a sick story but so good. I loved the ending and I didnt see that coming.

I don‘t know how I feel about this book. I should like it. It was a dark concept which I usually like, it didn‘t drag on, I‘ve heard it recommended heaps. But it wasn‘t as good as “the breakdown” in my opinion. Good, not great

Oh my stars!!! This book was a crazy ride from start to finish. Jack and Grace appear to have a perfect marriage, a perfect house, a perfect life...appearances can be deceiving! I can not express how much I recommend this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

B. A. Paris hit a home run with this very fast read!

My mom always said if something is too good to be true, then it‘s not true. So right away, I had my reservations about this “perfect couple.”

The truth is we really never know what goes on in relationships behind closed doors. This book gives insight into one very dark marriage.

Be prepared for a highly unexpected ending! Loved it!

This was a quick read and I couldn't put it down. B. A. Paris brings you on an emotional rollercoaster with this one. I enjoyed the past and present tense flashes; however, I felt that this also made it easier to figure out some of the twists. I do wish Paris had pushed the envelope just a bit more with Jack to truly set this book apart.

This was a very fast read about a very screwed up marriage, with a twist that was unexpected. That surprise was nice, but it did seem implausible. Grace was a frustrating character but still easy to root for, especially as the story progressed. This is one of those books that relies mainly on shock value and manipulation of emotion to keep the reader going, rather than plot or character development. It passed the time but won‘t stick with me.

I had to bail. It is probably a really good book but major trigger warning for anyone who has ever been mentally abused. I could not continue.

Didn‘t love the premise or writing style- alright for a beach read.

This one kept me guessing until the end! In the format it is told, rotating between past and present, you begin to put some things together...but there are still plenty of surprises along the way!

Really enjoying this one so far on this snow (COLD) day! And school is closed again tomorrow so I should have plenty of time to read! 🥶💜📚
