I just realized that I left this book off my #AugustWrapup 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway, I found it depressing as hell, but the cover is gorgeous.

Lcsmcat I heard her speak at the Bookmarks festival yesterday. She was fascinating to listen to, talking about her grandmother and “aunties” who survived the war. 11mo
Susanita @Lcsmcat I heard her on the reading women podcast a few weeks ago. This book didn‘t quite hit the mark for me, but I still want to read more from her. (edited) 11mo

August wasn‘t as good as a reading month as other months this year. I traveled a lot and participated in other fun projects, so I didn‘t really find the time to read. Hope I‘ll be able to change the latter in September.

What did you read in August?

#AugustWrapUp I thought I hadn‘t read as much as I usually do, but the tally says otherwise! I traveled a lot last month - audiobooks are the best travel buddies!
Total books read: 18
13 Audiobooks
4 eBooks
1 Hardcopy
Finished: 17
Bailed: 1
Leah on the Offbeat wins #BestOfAugust for me! Though it was a close race with Fangirl. I can‘t believe it‘s taken me so long to get around to these wonderful books, but I‘m glad I finally did!

This is my #augustwrapup - I liked quite a lot of the books I read in August. I loved all three Karin Slaughter books - I finished her Grant County series and the final chapter - OH MY GOD! 🤯
I also loved We Are Never Meeting in Real Life and liked Thirteen a lot! 😊 So, overall, not a bad month!

LoveToReadLiveToRead Beautiful journaling! Hopefully you‘ll have received the next #whodunituk book by now xx 11mo
Christine11 @LoveToReadLiveToRead Thank you! Yes, I‘m away this week but I received it just before I left on Saturday and then totally forgot to post on Litsy to let you know! Sorry! Thank you so much! 😊💛 11mo

My #augustwrapup. I enjoyed everything I read this month, except for War Storm. It was a disappointment.

The only books I read this month were the ones I‘m teaching to my 12 graders 😩 #augustwrapup

Here are my August stats:
11 books read
4,384 pages
9 Physical, 2 ebooks
Circe was by far my favorite, and is also my top read of 2018. Coming in second, The Hunt for Vulcan, an awesome little nonfiction book about physics and astronomy. My least favorite was probs Bird box, the story was interesting but the writing wasn‘t my favorite. #circe #augustwrapup #auguststats #physics #augustreads
