#HaikuADay #HaikuHive
Today‘s haiku is inspired by the fact that it‘s December 1st & 75 degrees F. here. While I‘m not complaining (too much), sometimes it‘s hard to dredge up seasonal spirit in a place with no clear seasons. Seeing palms & other trees wrapped with lights helps make me feel more in the holiday spirit.
‘Tis the Season
Season‘s gentle pull
Fades beneath warm island nights
Trees dressed in lights help

JenlovesJT47 Beautiful! Same here, it was 74 today, 80 yesterday. Which for Florida is not bad but it doesn‘t exactly scream wintertime! 😆♥️ 23h
IriDas I‘ve felt the same since moving to SoCal from Montana 35 years ago. Not a complaint, but, yeah, it‘s hard to keep track of the seasons. 😂 23h

Amiable My son said the same when he was stationed near San Diego for flight school in the Marines. He hated not having seasons. His buddies would make fun of him because he insisted on wearing flannel shirts from Nov-Feb even though it was too warm for them. Because that when we wear flannel in New England. 😄 14h

Amiable @DebinHawaii 🙌🏼 I‘m in my fleece season over here! It‘s sleeting and icy so I‘m wrapped up like a fleecy burrito. 😄 (edited) 4h
