For tonight‘s #HyggeHour I‘m reading the latest Encyclopedia Brown book for #EBBR & then catching up on a cozy mystery with my remaining time. I‘m hydrating (it‘s humid) with Hint watermelon water & noshing on this cute Neko Pan (bread with strawberry cream filling).
Mood is tired. Shoulder is still sore & I‘m not ready for Monday. 😵💫
My #WeekendReads this weekend include the tagged book & books for #ThematicCozies #SheSaid #EBBR & #SundayBuddyReads & whatever else strikes my mood.
I‘ll probably never get reviews posted for August, I‘m still behind for July but I managed to read 20 books, which surprised me given my schedule & energy level for the month. Many were short books & I made 8 day trips in the month which gives me about 90 minutes per trip of reading + airport commute time.

I missed many this time around. I have to applaud Sobel‘s efforts in misdirection in this particular book! 👏👏👏
I did read this title as a child because I remembered aspects of a few of the cases: the turned around telescope, the kidnapped pigs, the five items left in the grocery store (the magnet 🧲 that looks like a horse shoe-and what corner store sells magnets? 😂) Good fun!

pickThis was fun, even though I am clearly no good as a 10 year old detective. I solved 3 of the 10 cases. Sobol has some creative descriptions of characters, particularly the Tigers, and I found myself laughing a lot while reading.

Finished last week for #EBBR & I had to return it to the library already, so as usual I can‘t remember which I solved & which I didn‘t. I do know I solved the alarm clock one⏰ & the one with the camping kidnapping, but otherwise?🤷🏻♀️ I do have to say that you by now the police should stop listening to Bugs Meany when he tries to blame EB & just take Bugs to juvenile detention already.🙄 Anyway, they are fun to read.
