Hmmm, a decent story about a family with “normal” problems that aren‘t quite dysfunctional but close. My full review won‘t fit, it‘s too long so it‘s in the comments!!! Book #26 in 2022

Allthebookclubs Wendy was a petulant child, through adulthood. She was treated so good as a child but is such a B to her mom…the last person who deserves her garbage. She irritated me page after page. And Jonah, poor young Jonah. I‘m not sure who I disliked more, Wendy or Violet. 3mo
Allthebookclubs Violet was given everything and somehow she was a dirtbag too. Liza‘s indiscretion did nothing to enhance the story, really her character didn‘t add much at all and poor Grace, always an afterthought even in review. Marlyn and David‘s relationship is something to behold and I just don‘t understand how they could‘ve raised such sociopathic daughters. 3mo

Just can't get a solid read on Lily Bard. I know she has secrets from her townsfolk, but it feels like the reader is missing important details to feel for her. I'm enjoying the mysteries... But she's just not am engaging main character. #26-2022

Book #26 of the year: “The Spy” by Paulo Coelho

This was a fast and easy read. It‘s okay, but not great. Definitely entertaining and perfect if you‘re looking for something to get through in a day.

Book #26 of 2021 complete! And Elizabeth Fremantle is quickly becoming a new favorite author for me! I love her character development. Francis was absolutely fascinating! I‘m not easy to surprise, but the twists and turns in this story were delightfully unexpected!
