It's going to be a very busy day, so I'm up early, enjoying a bit of quiet while I can, and rereading a short romance from a Christmas book that was originally my mom's. 🎄
(I couldn't find this book in the database so I choose one with several of the same authors)

Now this book has filled me with sympathy for Mr Collins. What sorcery is this?!

My SIL and I went shopping in Castle Rock CO yesterday and found a cute little book shop, Sudden Fiction Books, where I found this sweet book to read with my grandbaby.

I was looking to see if a new Jane Harper might be in the works and found she hasn't updated social media since May 10. Google didn't give me any info newer than this either. Have any of you heard anything about her that I've missed?

It's the off-season in Maine, and a variety of unpleasant people are vacationing at a cabin resort. (I think I like the MC but everyone else is awful, which is apparently the point, but I'm not loving it. I feel like I'm about to DNF.)

This was pretty good, as her books tend to be, & introduces the 6 characters & their nemesis. 3 women & 3 men have been drawn to Corfu as they are fated to find the Stars of Fortune to keep them falling into the hands of an ancient, vengeful goddess who will use them to destroy worlds. The 6 characters have skills & attributes that will help them in the coming battles. The 2 whose romance is featured in this book are a seer & a wizard.

The weather is a little dreary but I'm spending my Saturday morning reading and observing the birds at my parent's cabin so I couldn't be happier. 😊🐦📖

In the present, recently elected congressman Harrison Leonard is poised to do great things when he starts receiving mail threatening to expose something in his past. In the past, Jake and 3 friends, including Andy Leonard, spend a week before going to college at his grandparent's lake cabin where a series of terrifying events changes them forever. This was a quick, entertaining read though Miss Bailey isn't sure she's impressed.

This book was a mess but the beginning was really promising so it kept me reading. I kinda wish I'd given up though.

In a turn of events that's become unusual recently, I actually finished my planned book yesterday! So today I'm back into this one.

I'm caught up. I can barely believe there are only 2 months left. 🙀

I'm hoping to finish TNOD today, then hopefully move on to The Husbands, but that's only if my brain cooperates. I might have to reread something I've read a bajillion times instead. #interestingtimes

I've been meaning to read Time And Again for ages so it's nice to get a push in that direction from it being my #BookSpin. My #DoubleSpin is "nonfiction." At the moment I'm thinking this one but that might change.

I'm calling this an excellent read because I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I finished a few days ago and I'm confident I'll be thinking about for a long time. The state of the world, and the live/work concept of Cloud, feel all too plausible, which is alarming. However, I wish the book had ended differently. This was probably the "right"ending as this isn't a feel good book but I'm a sucker for a happy ending. ?‍♀️
