Another excellent Christmas themed book by Sarah Morgan, she really does relationship books really well. This one about a breakdown in relationships between a mother and two daughters, who after a five year separation in the relationship do Christmas together. As always excellently written.

29th book finished for #WinterGames2021 #MistletoeManiacs @Clwojick #ChristmasMyWay @GHABI4ROSES @DieAReader

Sarah Morgan is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine. I genuinely loved this story. Morgan focuses on forgiveness and moving forward, and the understanding that becomes possible when we are willing to step back and look at a situation from someone else's perspective. I'm not usually a fan of books categorized as women's fiction because they tend to be depressing as hell, but Morgan tackles complicated family issues in a way that makes me feel ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) like reconciliation and healing are possible. I feel like a lot of the current take on difficult relationships is just to label anyone who makes you feel bad as toxic and cut them out forever. There are definitely situations where that is what needs to happen, but there are also many scenarios where genuine conversation and work can heal.

My only real caveat with this story is that everyone acted like telling a child that Sant isn't ⬇
7mo
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) real automatically makes you a horrible person who steals a child's Christmas magic. I grew up with parents who never had us believe in Santa (Mom said she couldn't lie to us about an omniscient, invisible being for our entire childhood and then turn around and expect us to believe her when she said God was real), but always made Christmas a beautiful and magical season. Santa isn't the be-all end-all for Christmas magic and I felt ⬇ 7mo
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) like there were multiple times where everyone got a little obsessive about the importance of Santa. But other than that, I just thoroughly enjoyed this story about two adults sisters and their mother, with a dash of holiday romance thrown in. 7mo

TheSpineView Awesome! 7mo
Prairiegirl_reading I agree with your mom about Santa. ❤️ 7mo
TheAromaofBooks @Prairiegirl_reading - And my parents definitely never presented Santa as a bad thing, and we were always told to respect the decisions other families made (we would have been in BIG TROUBLE if we had told friends who believed in Santa that he didn't exist), but my parents weren't comfortable with lying to us to give us Christmas magic... I understand why many families choose to believe in Santa, but here it was presented as learning Santa isn't ⬇ 7mo
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) real = horrible parenting/only someone who hates Christmas would do this, and I just didn't like the way it came off. 7mo

A sweet Christmas story. I felt the romance was a little underdeveloped but the main plot was quite well done. A stronger editor would have helped in a few spots - no American is going to call something a “cookery book”

One more for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is a feel-good Christmas story worthy of the Hallmark channel 😁 Sisters Samantha & Ella Love everything about Christmas, spending it together every year making up for everything their childhood Christmas's lacked. They haven't spoken with their mother Gayle for years but when Gail suffers an accident & her daughters go to her side, they begin to tentatively move forward into a new phase of their cont...

TheHeartlandBookFairy relationship. As Gayle tries to mend the rift between her and her daughters she also tries to build a relationship with her granddaughter Tab, trying to get it right with this second chance. The whole family travels to the Scottish Highlands for Samantha's company on business where they meet an amazing family, form new friendships, mend old rifts, and maybe even find love. A heartwarming story in a magical setting! 2y

For sisters Samantha and Ella-Christmas was special-magical and it had nothing to do with their Bah Humbug power Mogul mother, Gayle. Now grown & estranged the past 5 years from their mother, find themselves spending CHRISTMAS in Scotland! Samantha wisks the family to Scotland to check out a possible high-end vacation spot at a large estate in need of some creative possibilities. It's traditional highlands sprinkled with hope, healing, & romance❤️

Morgan‘s #holidayreads are literally one of the best things about the #Christmas season. This one is more women‘s fiction than romance, but there is a romance present. The story is about re-examining the past and being open to the future. The complicated relationship between Gayle and her daughters Samantha and Ella really spoke to me, as I could see my own family through them. The snow and Christmas trees are so festive!! #ReadYourWay #NetGalley

I'm a big fan of Sarah Morgan so knew this would be a good read and it didn't disappoint at all. The plot is well written and the ending is perfect. The idea of a Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is perfect. The images created through this just instantly draw you in. I loved Ella and Sam but Mary was by far my favourite character. She added the depth and perspective needed for Gayle. #Netgalley 5*

⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great Christmas story of redemption: Gayle is successful, so successful that she‘s written two books telling other women how to do it, but she has a secret, two daughters that she has spoken to for five years. Can a family Christmas in the Scottish Highlands bring harmony to their family?
