Between pick and so-so. I loved Rosie‘s introversion and bookishness, and the bittersweetness that comes with losing her mom so recently. Poston has written many books and more than 2 series. I‘ve read 1 and 2-now on to 3.

Angeline is 8 yo and wicked smart. Her mom died when she was very young and her dad is not sure how to talk to her. But she meets a few 6th grade classmates who befriend her; thank heaven for that bc her teachers are mean and have no empathy. Angeline just wants to be herself and be happy.

A cute book about why things changed during the onset of Covid-19 for kids. It's narrated by Daisy, Rocky, Smokie and H-Dee, all dogs. It shows how before COVID we could go and do a lot of things, but during COVID how we had to mask up. It written so children could understand all that was happening during time.

I usually love a John Grisham book, but was somewhat disappointed in The Exchange. I was expecting to see Mitch, who I will always picture as Tim Cruise, in a huge legal battle in court. Instead, I got a book about trying to free an associate. It just wasn't the usual Grisham book. I couldn't get attached to any of the characters, bc they were only there for a bit. 3.5⭐

Had an awesome reading day yesterday. I finished Tattooed Heart and I read Charm City Rocks in one sitting. Not sure what I will start today.

I participated in buddy reads this month where the selection was by this author. I bailed on a dull fantasy and I couldn‘t stop listening to this one. This deserves a constellation of stars. ✨✨✨✨✨
