Inspired by a local bookstore‘s “Old Cool Books” section, I‘m doing my first monthly #challenge. And yes, it‘s also a #giveaway!
If you repost this and tag me, you will be entered to win a set of bookmarks. If you participate and tag #OldCoolBooks, you will be entered to win a book-scented candle. The Litten that participates the most will be entered to win an old books goody bag. It‘s open internationally.
Now, show me your old cool books!!!
I‘ve always loved the way this word sounds. 🐳🐬🐋

Interesting little buzzfeed quiz. I don‘t think it‘s accurate except maybe my work/teacher persona...
Pick Some Books And We'll Tell You Which Word Describes You Best https://www.buzzfeed.com/ambili/pick-some-books-and-well-tell-you-which-word-des...
Yet another BuzzFeed quiz. This one gives you a word the best describes you based on your book choices. Not really sure I agree with mine. What word describes you best?
Learned a new word today! Hovawart! A breed of German dog. The author of the book Im reading kept referring to his “Hovawart,” which I knew from context was some kind of animal, but with a name like that I was expecting something Hagrid would introduce.
Has anyone joined GoRead.com?? Or know much about it?

President Theodore Roosevelt used muckraker in his last sense in a 1906 speech: "The men with the muck rakes are often indispensable to the well-being of society; but only if they know when to stop raking the muck, and to look upward to the celestial crown above them, to the crown of worthy endeavor."
I'm so excited for this weekend! Probably won't be getting much time to read but the #EisterLibrary expansion is continuing!! Moving furniture, rearranging books, making better use of our cataloging app, after a stressful week this is how I want to unwind. Soon it will be even easier for our friends and community to explore our shelves!
Does anyone else actually use their Kindle Vocabulary Builder ? 🤔😂
Well, each dictionary selects its own Word of the Year. The 2016 WotY for the Cambridge Dictionary is, "paranoid."
"Searches have risen ... over four times more than in 2015. ...it suggests perhaps a feeling that the institutions that have kept us safe can no longer be trusted, ... When we look at other words that have shown similar increases, we can build a fuller picture: anxiety, chaos, increases in prejudice, bigotry ...". #wordoftheyear
