Still my favorite book so far!
Picking up again. At this point it‘s not hard to jump back in; Rand is riding across the mountains with his 3 companions. And so we come (ch 21) to the inn of the Nine Rings, named after a story that is one of Rand‘s favourites. Hmm … now where have I heard a story about 9 rings?…
I‘m finding this story very readable even though I‘m re-reading it. I‘m still going ‘I can‘t look …. but what happens next?‘
When you have a puppies that likes to chew books, you must remember to not leave you books lying around. Poor book! 😞
Having a great time re-reading The Whelk of Time series. Book 2,was great! Onward to book 3!
‘Tension!‘ as we say in Singapore.
Not quite halfway through but not because I don‘t want to read it. I want to know … but I‘m scared to find out.
Bk3 of April & #AwesomeApril #readathon was done yesterday. Another combo of audio & print reread, Bk2 of WOT is more of a quest story even compared to the 1st. It‘s all about the hunt for the Horn Of Valere & the Ruby dagger from Shadar Logoth to heal Mat from its taint. Another winner in my book👍 #bookspinbingo #seriesread2022
Still trying to clear a path through library books and group reads to read this book. I noticed, the last time I re-read it, that it wasn‘t until ch 9 that we leave Fal Dara even though Rand has been trying from ch 1. But it really gets going after that. Currently on ch 4 …
There are a lot of names from Arthurian legends (and others) but I‘ve never managed to fit them into the same places.
WOW. I have no other words. The ending was amazing; I sat and didn't move until I finished the last of the book! I can't wait to see what the next book is like, now that it's revealed that the Lady Selene is Lanfear and Rand has proclaimed himself the Dragon Reborn.
I wanted to love The Great Hunt the way I loved The Eye of the World. Unfortunately, I didn't. After all of the journeying in book one, I was hoping book two would settle in one place and really focus on the world. But there was more journeying to do. Plus, I'm still having a hard time remembering the lore of the world. I'm not new to fantasy, so I don't know why that's been a problem.
Re-reading this series because I only got up to around book 10 the 1st time. I‘ve always wondered about Tam al Thor‘s story. Was it ever told in full?
Book two of The Wheel of Time. I know I still have a long way to go but I'm enjoying the series so far.
Lost count how many times I read books 1-9…think it‘s the 5th time. But it‘s my second time reading the ENTIRE series 1-15. And still looking up everything in the Companion as I first come to each new character/places/etc. 🐉

I don‘t even know what to say, I just absolutely loved this one! Maybe more than the first one? I don‘t know, this series is everything I expected and SO much more! Absolutely LOVING IT!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Prior to the show starting on Amazon Prime I continued my journey with the books. I'm absolutely loving these. Dated on things at times, but I love the detail in it. I like big book series and I cannot lie...
#fantasy
Liked this book better than the first, I think, which is unusual! It broke off in its own direction, away from some of the similarities I noticed to other fantasy books, and it went far more in-depth for the characters. I love Perrin and am constantly annoyed by Mat. 9/10
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not my favorite in the series but still a good book. Kramer is great at the narration. Reading is less great, but not terrible.

Continuing the journey through The Wheel of Time! I haven't been this excited since reading The Lord of the Rings when I was a child!!! Feel free to comment and discuss with me your thoughts and feelings of this incredible saga. I am a new member here and I am looking forward to meeting some really great book friends!
I really liked this second installment of the Wheel of Time series. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I'm curious about the adaptation, but I think I want to read at least one more of the books before I watch it.
Current read. I'll read this over the next few days with others mixed in.
I finally finished The Great Hunt. It took multiple checkouts with VERY LONG waiting periods between. It was alright. That‘s my basic feeling about this series. I started the next one, but we‘ll see how far I make it into the series considering that it is massive! I did really like the ending of the book though, it really felt like it was picking up! #fantasy #audiobook #libby #WOT
Book 2 complete
Bk2 of September & Bk11 of #LittensDressedInBlood is done! I was planning on reading the WOT series with other books in between each novel in the set but I couldn‘t help myself and went straight into bk2. The Edmonds Field five are further along their journey towards who‘ll they‘ll become, most fighting it as much as possible. A great second book, it sets the stage well for what‘s to come. #SeriesRead2021 #StackingTheSeries #ChunksterChallenge👇
I finished the upper border on my sampler! Whee! #audiostitching
I finally have a new space for #audiopuzzling! This one‘s been a lot of fun so far, and I‘m still having a great time with my Wheel of Time reread. I‘m surprised at how much I like Kate Reading‘s narration, too. I listened to a more recent production of hers a couple years back and found her diction fake as all get out, but she‘s fine here. Huh.
Continuing my very slow audio journey through these books. I enjoy them but not my usual choices. The hard thing is that I wait for the library audiobooks, but the holds are all approximately a million years long. #fantasy #audiobook #wheeloftime
Book 2 of the Wheel of Time picks up right where Book 1 left off. With all of the introductions out of the way we dive right into the action this time. The slow build of Book 1 and the large cast of characters that were developed start paying off, as Jordan is able to break up the group and tell his story from multiple locations that really gives a sense of the world they inhabit. The plot advances considerably too, by the end. Can't wait for #3!

The man who called himself Bors, at least in this place, sneered at the low murmuring that rolled around the vaulted chamber like the soft gabble of geese.
Thank you for this #Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView and thank you for the tag @MoonWitch94 😊
1️⃣ Not yet 😢💿
2️⃣ I do! I love to play symphonic metal or power metal in the background while reading fantasy novels, the orchestrations often blend perfectly with the story. I‘ll always associate Epica‘s “The Quantum Enigma” song with the tagged book since I read listening to it while reading the climactic battle at the end of the novel! 🤘🎤🎸🎶
There were so many twist and turns in this second book in The Wheel of Time saga. I felt this was much more interesting and complex than the first. Some questions have been answered, but more have been raised. The growth of all the main characters in The Great Hunt was incredible. There are scenes that will have you wanting to cheer and some that will have you angry. This one makes it feel like the Roller Coaster of Time.

I'm really enjoying #thewheeloftime so far.
⭐⭐⭐
This one is a soft pick. It's definitely not as good as book one, but it ended strong, and I feel like the series as a whole is worth getting through the less terrific ones. I'm slowly catching up to book 6, where I left off. I'm not sure if I'll pick up any more of these this year, but we'll see.

Reread via audiobook. Still adore the worldbuilding in this as well as the autonomous female characters. Still loathe the super stereotypical heteronormative relationships between male and female characters.
This second installment in the series was a much quicker read than the first book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt while reading it that the plot was moving much more than in the first book - but looking back now, I don't think that too much actually happened to further the plot 😂 3.5⭐

It's been about a week or so since I've last immersed myself in this world. It feels great to be back! ???

OH MY GOODNESS!! The last 200ish pages of this book is so insane!! What Egwene went through and how it affected her, oh man Im scared baby girl is gonna break later on. AND THEN earlier when Nynaeve went through her trials at the white tower I FELL APART. Oh it was so heartbreaking. I loved meeting other Ogier and seeing Loial acting all scared and shy gahh, I love him so much. Gah I love this series so far!!

It‘s little pieces like this that make me love Perrin so much. He is such a sweet adorable young man and I love him dearly. I love small tidbits like this in character building, it helps bring them to life and I love when authors include this in their writing. I can just picture his face and his attempt to not run away after he did this, it‘s so adorable.
