Wow loved this book! So engaging I wanted to know happened next so badly! At work I would just think about what would happen or how much longer till I could read again. I liked the magic system even if I didn‘t fully understand it, interesting characters, and love the animals.

Really liked the second half of this book, so much action and excitement, I think this might be my favourite one in the series so far! Will take a break before continuing but I could just imagine some of the scenes playing out so dramatically in a tv show or movie! Excited for the show I am hoping it will be good.

The_Penniless_Author Just a warning- the next book, Fires of Heaven, is a real slog in places, but stick with it, because Lord of Chaos (book 6) is fantastic! 2w

Finally got around to reading this. So good, really adds a lot of texture and excitement to the cosmere. These short stories have such rich world building and brings some clarity to certain aspects of the cosmere. I am a little sad that he says he won‘t continue a lot of those stories as they leave me wanting more!

Book 3 complete! Enjoying the series so far, the plot is pulling me along. Starting to have some issues with the characters, but I am liking the adventures each team is going on. Will take a break before reading book 4.

Quick read, pretty interesting ideas, some I think went over my head. Litsy won‘t let me add a pic from my gallery, don‘t know if anyone else has this problem?

Book 2 complete

TurnerofPages Starting this now! I've had the entire collection since they came out, but just because of the sheer size of the entire saga I put it off for so many years. No more! The Amazon Prime series coming out gave me the push to read them! I will not watch them until I'm on at least book 4... just in case! Happy reading 📖 1w
TugstenDragon @TurnerofPages Nice that‘s the reason I started reading too! Yes I didn‘t start watching till I finished the fourth book haha but it‘s looking like it will just be the first book but context is great!! 1w
TurnerofPages Awesome! I was hoping they stick to the books. Too many times I've seen great stories ruined by poetic license (best example is the entire second movie of The Hobbit!!!). So, since I've read the first book, maybe it's safe to watch the series? 1w
TugstenDragon @TurnerofPages I think so I‘m only 3 episodes in but it looks like it will just be the first book 1w

Really good book, cool world building, exciting and engaging. Lots of crazy situations and thief stuff. Unfortunate that these books have been hard to find. Hopefully will continue the series in the future.

While not much happening, and the main character dragging his feet the whole time, it was still very engaging I could not put the book down even if I wasn‘t always liking the direction it was going. I don‘t think I would recommend this series to people unless you are big fans of Robin Hobbs writing style.

Good book, very exciting and engaging. I feel like the sequel built on the world building a little bit more. I am curious to see where the author decides to take the series.

My first book I have bailed on this year. Maybe it‘s because I work in science that I just found all the science history/background tangents unnecessary and not grabbing me into the story. Maybe I‘ll try again another time.

Friend recommend me to read Michael Crichton, got to say it was pretty enjoyable and a really fast read! Definitely a page turner once it starts going. Little unsatisfied with the ending but appreciated the science it was pretty cool. Overall I would recommend it since it was such a quick read and the science seems pretty solid.

Continuing with the Dune series, seeing how far I will get. This one definitely took a lot of brain power to try and wrap my head around everyone‘s schemes and lines of thought. Enjoyable but definitely confusing in parts, feel like I need to re-read a few more times to understand everything.

Ended up really enjoying this one, the visuals were pretty awesome thinking about all the skeltons and blood. While I didn‘t fully understand the lore at times the characters were so engaging that I didn‘t really care. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes skeletons or necromancers.

Unfortunately not my kind of book, I didn‘t connect with it but I can see why some people love it. Maybe because I‘m not into romance or something just didn‘t click.

BehindthePages I love vampire books, but I found this one too slow and overly descriptive. 9mo

Really enjoyed this book, definitely think you should read it if you like sci-fi or if your looking for a book to get into sci-fi with. I watched the TV show first so that may be clouding my judgement but I think the show might be a little better than book, but if the later books are anything like the show I am excited to continue.

Twainy It‘s funny to read social media ... I‘m always thinking ... did you read the book? It does follow the books enough so that I know what‘s coming. Enjoy! Don‘t forget the novellas! 9mo

snowpaws94 How was the second one compared to the first! I was thinking about continuing the series but each book is so long. 10mo
TugstenDragon @snowpaws94 Dune Messiah is less than 300 pages so it‘s a bit shorter, it‘s a lot less action and basically all politics and trying to outsmart each other, I think the first was a better book but the seconds not bad if your into that stuff. 10mo

Woah that was a ride. This book dragged in the middle for me, just a couple too many battle scenes but it definitely picked up I‘m the last 200 pages or so. By the end the book I had tears in my eyes and I am interested to see how the new status quo works out. This is definitely not my favourite Dresden book but in the end I was okay with it and after waiting 6 years to read more Dresden files I‘m glad Butcher is continuing the series.

I have enjoyed the powder mage trilogy, I think the magic system is a lot of fun. The sins of empire did disappoint me a little bit, I didn‘t find it as engaging as the original books, but I think this book has redeemed it, I found the plot payoffs to be better than I thought they would be. While it‘s not a perfect book it‘s got some good gripping moments that make you want to keep reading.
