I haven‘t hid the fact that I have Depression and Anxiety. Here are the things that help me!

1. I have therapy every week, takes meds every day, and see a doctor for regular mental checkups.
1a. I make the time to do the things that I enjoy like reading, listening to music, and playing some games.
2. I replaced some of my skincare items.

Consuming stories really helped me through the last month. I picked up A Day Like This on a whim and was totally intrigued by the plot. I listened to Agatha Christie‘s The Body In The Library and so enjoyed Miss Marple‘s detecting skills. Listening to The Map of Knowledge took some time because there was so much to absorb. The Promise Of A Kiss was a delightful historical romance escapade set in Egypt.

Hi everyone! I‘m still here! This is a somewhat accurate representation of me over the last month. I‘ve been basically a hermit for the last two years but Covid got me anyway. I was really scared but so glad that I‘m vaccinated. I still have some lingering issues like fatigue and a bit of a cough, but I‘m doing a lot better than I was. I‘ve really missed all of you and hope you are all well. 💕

Jamie has been having fun playing and ultimately beating the new game Starfighter Training Academy. Turns out it‘s not a game when a hunky guy (who looks just like her in-game partner) shows up at Jamie‘s door in the middle of the night to recruit her to fight for an alien world in trouble. Steamy sci-fi romance.

I quite enjoyed this short historical romance set in Gilded Age New York at Christmas time. I liked learning the bits about creating window displays for a department store. I could have done without the misunderstanding between the main couple. Still, it was a pleasant holiday read and introduced me to a new author.

Book number 4 in the Paws & Claws series. I always enjoy the atmosphere of the Inn and all the various pets. Love is in the air during a matchmaking event at the Sugar Maple Inn in the pet-friendly town of Wagtail Virginia. I absolutely loved this book! It‘s historical fiction focusing on the early days of BBC radio. We get to tag along with protagonist Maisie as she assumes secretarial work for the Talks department, and marvel with her over the wonders of the broadcasts and the people that make them happen. I thoroughly enjoyed my immersion in the story and atmosphere of London in the 1920‘s. The best book I‘ve read this year!

Hey Litsy friends! Can I ask a question or two?
I‘m new to bifocals but not corrective lenses and I just wondered how does one walk around with these things on?! When I try to look at the ground to make sure I don‘t trip on anything, everything is too blurry through the bifocal part. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. 🤓 #BifocalLife

Tamra I bet if you keep wearing them regularly you‘ll adjust fairly quickly. I have always had to wear corrective lenses and 2 years ago got progressive lenses. It took a bit to get used to, but it wasn‘t bad. It always takes me a about a week to adjust to any lens change. Good luck! 💛👓 9mo
QuietlyLaura @Tamra Thanks! I figured I would just have to wear them and slowly adjust. 🙃 9mo
RamsFan1963 I've worn bifocals for a few years now, and the only advice I can give is give yourself time, you will adjust to it, the way you hold your head, the way your eyes move to use either lens. One day it will seem totally natural. 9mo
QuietlyLaura @RamsFan1963 Thanks! I really appreciate the help. I guess I just need to tough it out. 9mo
