I just found out Amazon is producing a Wheel of Time show! I think that means I really need to get started reading them. I‘ve been meaning to read them for 20 years but I‘m always too daunted by the sheer volume to launch in #wheeloftime #chunkster

My library posted this today! Thought it would be fun to see what some of your favorite book series are!

The tagged book is the first in one of my favorite series!
I also love, Maisie Dobbs by Jacquline Winspear, The Great Library series by Rachel Caine, Magic & Mixology series by Gina LaManna, Caraval series by Stephanie Garber, and Veronica Speedwell by Deanna Raybourn just to name a few!

Finished book ten in the Wheel of Time series, and just as with the previous installment, next to nothing happens despite the needlessly inflated word count. I‘ve come to the conclusion that this series has devolved into the literary equivalent of crab legs. It‘s good, but it‘s far too much effort for too little meat. #WheelOfTime #RobertJordan #WheresTheDamnCliffsNotes

Kimberlone The crab legs metaphor 🤣 but it is worth the effort if you‘re eating Alaskan king crab 🦀 4mo
BillBlume @Kimberlone haha! So noted, and I‘m hoping the series, as a whole, will also prove worth the effort. One of the many reasons I‘ll push on to book eleven. 4mo

#AudibleAsks ... since I pretty much only read #chunksters it takes me a while to reread stuff, but the #Wheeloftime has got to be my go to. 🤗 What‘s your? #fantasy #epicfantasy

britt_brooke I could listen to pretty much any David Sedaris book over and over. His humor really comes through with his narration. (edited) 5mo
sprainedbrain The Harry Potter books... Jim Dale is incredible. 5mo
mdhughes72 What @britt_brooke said. I discovered him on NPR back in the early 1990s so for me he‘s always been a spoken-word writer. 5mo

SiriuslyWeasley I listen to the Harry Potter series on repeat, ridiculous, but there it is. 😆 5mo
britt_brooke @mdhughes72 I discovered him backward. 😆 I read all of his books in print until a couple of years ago. Met him (twice now), and have gone back and listened to everything. He‘s a favorite all around. 💚 5mo
Kaye I listen to Sedaris often. I have all his audiobooks. I also love A Girl Named Zippy and her second one, She Got Up Off the Couch. So funny ! Another I‘ve listened to repeatedly are Donald Davis. And Kathryn Tucker Windham. Both southern, both just tell short stories of their lives growing up. I have all of them, but all like an hour long each. I honestly listen to pieces of most of my audios repeatedly. I like people telling me a story I guess 5mo

There‘s no way this is going to be good!!! I hate it when TV productions try this and ruin it for the fans of the books! They will never be able to make it anywhere near as good as the books ..... leave it alone 😡🤬 😂😂😂 #fantasy #epicfantasy #wheeloftime

Puredragonstar I agree! ☝🏻😡 5mo

I‘m really enjoying The Expanse 🚀 series but I need a little break so I decided to continue on in The Wheel of Time ⏳ #WheelOfTime #RobertJordan

#BookNerd 📚💙🤓

Traci1 I stopped reading these somewhere mid book 6. I keep wanting to go back, but I've forgotten so much I am afraid I'd have to start over from the very beginning. Maybe I'll just start book 6 over and hope for the best. 6mo
JuliaTheBookNerd @Traci1 I‘ve stopped and started a few times over the years 😬 So far it‘s been pretty easy to pick back up where I left off without having to reread 😊 6mo

Soooo I‘m on book 6 of the #swordoftruth and I‘m so close to bailing on the whole season. For me it just lacks depth, in terms of world building/religion/faith etc. I can‘t help but compare it to the #wheeloftime the next few book titles imply there‘s going to be a shift towards good and evil which is what I like. Anyone read it an recommend sticking with it? #fantasy #epicfantasy

Yeah_I_Read I couldn‘t even get through Wizards First Rule 😬 I think it was totally flat. 8mo
llwheeler I must admit I bailed on this (years ago). Didn't even make it through chapter 1, book 1. You're making me feel okay about that decision lol 8mo
bookcollecter I loved Wizards First Rule. Read it twice. There is some unforgettable stuff that occurs towards the end of the book. As for the rest of series I haven't had a chance to read them yet. 8mo
bookcollecter Oh I did read the prequel novella Bag of Bones and that was decent but not great 8mo
LoverofLit Book 6 was by far my favorite. At the time of reading a close friend of mine told me book 6 was the best and I rolled my eyes because I wasn't feeling it but the ending was one of the most phenomenal. Then I flew threw the rest of the series. 7mo
