I can't believe it took me so long to read this! It was absolutely wonderful! Classic Sanderson - complex characters, a totally unique magic system, lots of action and twists, and a good smattering of humor! 💕📚

Another great book from Sanderson. The magical system based on colour was super neat, and the ending chapter provides good lore. I liked Siri and Vivenna as well as Lightsong, who makes this book have a bit more levity than the Mistborn trilogy (which is not unfunny, just more serious).
I don‘t know why it has taken me so long to start reading Sanderson. I really love the Cosmere. For those of you doing the #CosmereBuddyRead rumor is that Sanderson is writing a part 2 for this one, with the working title Nightblood, but it‘s currently on hold. 🤞
Just finished this #cosmerebuddyread and Sanderson has done it again. This one was a standalone in the same world but I loved these characters and hate to leave them. His world building and magic systems are unmatched. Two princesses being used as pawns as the threat of war looms. As with any Sanderson book there are betrayals, shifting alliances and interesting love matches. Can‘t wait to see what everyone thinks of the ending! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘m a little bit late today. My modem decided to freak out and I spent most of the day trying to get the tiniest bit of internet. They are sending a new one, but it‘s going to take a couple of days. I might disappear again, but I will eventually be back. Anyway, I did not expect the story to go where it did. Sanderson never fails to surprise me. I can‘t wait to hear what you all think. #CosmereBuddyRead
Spending a lazy afternoon with a tall glass of limeade and Brandon Sanderson! 💕📚 AHHHHHH, pure bliss!
Spent all afternoon reading Sanderson in the park! This is the first time I've read this older work of his, and I'm absolutely loving it! 🌿💕📚 I'm also really happy to see that everything is starting to turn green and vibrant again! Hooray for Spring!
It‘s all starting to come together now. The girls make more sense to me. Also, I have a little crush on Lightsong. #CosmereBuddyRead.
Went to the advance poll today to vote in our federal election. Long line, so I read while waiting my turn. When I got to the front of the line, the poll worker saw my book and exclaimed « Brandon Sanderson! » His friends are really into Sanderson‘s work, so that was fun to trade geeky enthusiasms. (He is more into anime.) I was rewarded with a fist bump for being cool ??
I am in love with this one already. Sanderson is so great with character development. I was thinking that he might keep the magical system somewhat the same for the whole universe, but I guess not. Just where does he come up with these ideas?

Repost for @JacqMac
Warbreaker is up next in our #CosmereBuddyRead. I have split it into four parts. Each section will be about 160 pages per week. I‘m really enjoying doing this with other Littens. This one is a standalone, if anyone would like to jump in and join us, we would love to have you.

Going on my first ever work trip today, so I‘m giving this one a reread while I wait!
Went to the movies yesterday. There was a bookstore nearby, so I decided to continue stocking up for the #CosmereBuddyRead 😂 I am OBSESSED @JacqMac 😄
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this standalone story in Sanderson‘s Cosmere!
The magic system is different from anything I‘ve ever read, and I‘m always so impressed how he can build such in-depth worlds, complicated magic, political intrigue, and make it incredibly easy to understand.
Excellent, as usual.
This was my July #bookspin book! @TheAromaofBooks
I don‘t understand where November went. Seriously, it flew by. I guess it‘s time for a wrap up.
What did you read this month? Any new favorites?
I really loved Warbreaker. And I‘m super excited to finally close out that chunk of the Cosmere. Now it‘s time to move on to the Secret Projects.

Ah, a moment of peace and quiet and a good book.
What are you reading this month?
I‘m not completely ready to give up spooky season so I think Bag of Bones will be perfect.
And I wanted to finish the Cosmere this year and I‘ve yet to read Warbreaker.
So those are the main books on my tbr.

Im cautiously optimistic! We'll just see how this goes! 🤣😂
Infinite Jest I've been wanting to read for a long time, so it seems like a good time to use it for this challenge! I've also been wanting to read all of Hobb's books, starting with the Rainwilds series, so I'm including those as well. Finally, because next year is the year of Brandon Sanderson apparently, I'm going to try and read more of his Cosmere stories! 📚💕
Wow! Just amazing! This is my first Brandon Sanderson book and holy moley fantasy writer. The world building was stunning and the story weaving!!! Swooning over the story right now.
Did all the reading I could do for this month and thought while I have the time... To do my September #WrapUp
I'm a bit surprised at how much I accomplished, it didn't feel like I was reading much but my stats say differently.
Favourites:
💮 Sandman9: Kindly Ones
💮 My Lovely Wife
💮 Warbreaker
For October I'm aiming to read 5 books; all depending on my work load.
"It's funny, Vasher thought, how many things begin with my getting thrown into prison."
My Thursday was a crazy one...
But nevertheless ...
1. My niece turning 3 and telling everyone that she'll be a princess when she grows up
2. Well on this side of the world it is Spring, but we always say it only truly gets warm after the 11th
3. 🤔 There's so many ..
Thanks for the @MoonWitch94

I love this so much! The magic in this story is so unique, and I love that it‘s a commodity anyone can use instead of something inherited genetically. And there are some awesome characters. I‘m very satisfied with the ending, but I hope Sanderson hurries up and writes a sequel!
Bk3 of May is done! I can‘t believe it‘s May already😱This was my first original Brandon Sanderson novel, I‘ve only ever read his WOT books though I do own his Mistborn trilogy & Skyward I believe?I really enjoyed this, the world he built is so unique,I‘ve never read a magic system like this(and I‘ve read lots of fantasy!)Based on breath & colour, it‘s fascinating. Highly recommend👍 #PickYourPoison #ChunksterChallenge #MountTBR2021 #PennyPerPage👇
Another delightful fantasy book by Brandon Sanderson, full of cute, witty, beautiful moments and surprising twists too.
I‘m forever changed with the amount of fantasy I want to read. This was a new level of fantasy and a different kind of story that I never knew was out there. I found it daunting at first by the size and volume of the book but it was worth it. Going on my favorites list. #newfavorite
Look what I rescued at work today! 😍 The spine was a little damaged and it's seen better days, so I ordered a new copy for the collection, cleaned and fixed this one up as best I could, and brought it home with me! 💕📚
December #BookSpin / September #doublespin done! @TheAromaofBooks
My first time reading Brandon Sanderson. I'm just a little late to the party lol. I enjoyed this, even though it took me forever to read (not entirely its fault, an awful lot of library holds came in). A good epic fantasy with a very interesting magic system.
RHYTHM OF WAR made me want to reread WARBREAKER. My library‘s got it on audio, so here I am, ready for some #audiocrafting!
Today I took the kinda boring, off-brand traveller‘s notebook that‘ll hold my 2021 reading journal and jazzed it up with a new cover. It‘s part of an Aimee Stewart bookshelf painting, taken from a calendar I had a couple years back.
Never did I think I would really enjoy this book. I have three hours left and I don‘t want it to end. #sandersonfan
My #BookSpin and #doublespin this month have just a slight size difference... 😂
Warbreaker was my Sept #doublespin that was still on my list, so I'm happy it got picked again.
Thanks @TheAromaofBooks! 😁
Another Sanderson book to tick off the TBR pile.
Of course I loved it. First half was good second half was brilliant. I love the characters he brings to life.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was my first Brandon Sanderson and I really enjoyed this complex and interesting read. I loved the magic system, the political intrigue, and the characters. The only issue was that it left me wanting more! 4.5 out of 5 ⭐
This book was an excellent, exciting, fun ride. I truly enjoyed it from start to finish. The characters felt like real people and the world building felt totally original. The plot was unpredictable enough to surprise but not so much so that it didn‘t make sense. I‘m looking forward to reading more Sanderson novels!
I have to admit, it took me a lot longer to become emotionally invested in this one than other Sanderson books I've read, but everything came together beautifully. By the end, I was ready to start over to pick out all the little clues I missed along the way. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I love Brandon Sanderson. #cosmere #fantasy #magic #sandersoncosmere #fantasticworldbuilding
After reading the Stormlight Archives, I decided to make my way through the Cosmere 🤩 I really enjoyed this story! The magic of each universe is so unique!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow this book was amazing to read. This was my first Brandon Sanderson book, I will be looking up some more by him. I loved the magic system (Breaths and colors) the combination of them was wonderful to read about. Loved the characters, Gods, plot and twist the book provided. I would highly recommend this book
Got my second shelf up! I‘m not sure if the painting‘ll stay or not. I mostly put it there because it weighs less than the books it displaced. New-style Lack shelving can hold 33lbs if properly anchored, but I bought this old-style one used and I‘m not sure what its limits are. Right now, it‘s got 15-16lbs of stuff on it. Robin Hobb is HEAVY.
This one was a bit slower than the other books in Sanderson‘s Cosmere. The characters are great though and the world building is fantastic.
I get Starbucks maybe once per year because it‘s so expensive. Today I decided to splash out and try the new tie dye frappuccino with part of my birthday winnings. It was tasty—but not $5.88 tasty.
I drank it while I took the measurements I need to get my new shelves up! Now I‘ve gotta go to the hardware store for washers so I can make sure this thing‘s as secure as possible. The shelf‘s going above my bed and I do NOT want books to fall on me.
Just over 100 pages left in this book! I see the light at the end of the tunnel!
P. S. Did anyone else know where is a book 2?! About Nightblood??? I'm dead.
Also, Mulan II in the background. #thefirstwasbetter
