I love reading by candlelight season.

I did not see any of that coming. I very much need to know what happens with Kal now. And I‘m kinda loving Adolin lately. He‘s really growing into himself. “Never be afraid to show a little respect to those you depend upon, friends."

Got myself one of those furry bookmarks. They grip the page really well. No fear of it slipping and losing your spot.

I don‘t know why, but I already like this book better than the last one. And just let me say poor Kaladin. Im very interested to see how this works out for him.

Hiding from reality…

People suck. This is why the gods invented ice cream. And fat books. I have the new Joe Hill. I‘m gonna go disappear with these and some ice cream, while the dryer does its thing. I heard there‘s a dragon… I hope it eats everyone.

Rachel Caine‘s very last book in the Stillhouse Lake series. She wrote this one on her deathbed and Carrie Ryan finished it. You really can‘t tell where one author ends and the other begins. It was a perfect mesh. I absolutely loved this series.

The reading schedule for Rhythm Of War. I‘m excited to dig into this one. The big ones always excite me. lol #CosmereBuddyRead

I loved this little one. It was just a great story. And a break without having a break. I agree though, I think parts of it will pop up later. #CosmereBuddyRead

"There is always a price to be paid..." Is it even soooky season without Grady Hendrix? Set in a home for pregnant teens, in 1970. And with a dark coven of witches. He does a really great job writing women.

I love closure. This was perfection. I might have cried a little. But not in a bad way. A legendary exit.

Thanksgiving threw me all off and I forgot yesterday was Tuesday. We will blame the turkey. Anyway, I know this is a short story, but it‘s long enough that it doesn‘t read like one, so I‘m enjoying it. I really really love having more of the bridge 4 people and Lopen.
#CosmereBuddyRead

“The Parliament is a story of grief and missed opportunities, but also of courage and hope. And of extremely sharp beaks.” Because murder owls! This is so good. I couldn‘t put it down.

Surely I‘m not the only one who reads between sets in the gym. This one is hard to put down.

A good conclusion. I like closure. But kinda meh. It felt too long. That being said romantsy isn't my favourite genre. I prefer heavy on the fantasy and lite on the smarmy romance. 3.5⭐️

This one is so tiny! That being said, I‘m splitting it into two parts. Just to give those who need it a little extra time to catch up before we start another chunky one. And I selfishly want a little time to fit in some horror reads from my TBR in October. lol
#CosmereBuddyRead

That was a lot of pages. I have to say Sanderson writes the best battle scenes. He never loses my interest even with a gazillion pages. I was hoping for a good wedding scene though. I hope the extra week gave you all a little time to get caught up. #CosmereBuddyRead

I love a Robert Langdon story. Eight years for this one was a long time, but the research must have been pretty heavy. I know a lot of people complained about it. It's pretty science heavy. But I love how Brown gives me just enough answers at just the right time. I have to think, but not too hard. The pieces fall into place perfectly.

Well, that took a turn. I am surprised, but not surprised. This one is so big though. I feel like we should have a check-in. How is everyone doing? Should I add a little break after this book for people to catch up or just keep going?
#CosmereBuddyRead

Finally! I have been waiting for the story of Dalinar‘s missing memories. And that chapter with Shallan and Wit… perfection.
#CosmereBuddyRead

I love fantasy. But I have a very strong distaste for smarmy, poorly written romance. Yet here I am, all sucked into a romantsy series. Because vampire hunger games! I mean I was 70% in before I had to encounter “the rigid length of his desire”. So I have hardly rolled my eyes at all. Great character development makes all the difference.

#BookMail I know, but I just can‘t resist a Dan Brown.

I‘m still really liking this one. Except… the Dalinar visions are getting old. I could edit those out and be pretty happy still. But I won‘t. I‘m sure they are worth it later. Thankfully I love all the time we spend with bridge four, so it‘s helping me to get through the less interesting parts. #CosmereBuddyRead

I have read a lot of reviews that said this book drags on too much. Maybe it‘s just me, but I can‘t get enough of it. I‘m enjoying every last bit.
#CosmereBuddyRead

I love being back in this world. I don‘t know where Sanderson finds all the words, but at this point I trust where he is going and I will follow him anywhere. My most relatable part: “He had found middle age to be like an assassin - quiet, creeping along behind him.
Much of the time he would go about his life as ohe always had, until an unexpected ache or pain gave warning. He was not the youth he had once been.”
#CoamereBuddyRead

I‘m not okay. This one is in the running for my best book of the year. The premise is really messed up, but the love and grief, it‘s all so beautiful. I couldn‘t understand how it could possibly work. But it‘s such a good story. Such a human story. “Lewis tattooed her with beautiful poetry in a place she would never see but somehow read every second.” #AuldLangSpine @DebinHawaii I never would have picked this up otherwise. @monalyisha

This might be the definition of epic fantasy. Lol I split the first part into two parts to make it a bit more manageable. Because wow, this is a big one! I try to keep us as close to 200 pages as I can. I can‘t wait to get started though.
#CosmereBuddyRead

I was away this week but I managed to squeeze this in. I didn‘t like this half as much. I really have issues with short stories. lol But it was okay. I‘ll be back later with the schedule for the next book. It‘s so massive! I‘m gonna need a minute.
#CosmereBuddyRead

I‘m so glad I didn‘t have a problem with the short stories. I loved visiting these characters again. #CosmereBuddyRead

I‘m not sure about this one. I tend to avoid short stories. I never like them. But maybe because they are connected I‘ll be okay. lol we are skipping White Sand. It‘s only short, but there‘s something about where it fits into the Cosmere. We will read it later. This reading order has worked so far, so I‘m going to trust it. #CosmereBuddyRead

This was so much better than what I was expecting from his debut novel. I was a little worried going in, but it felt very much like Mistborn to me. I can‘t wait to hear what you all think. I‘ll be back later with next week‘s schedule. #CosmereBuddyRead

Well, that was intense. Maybe a little more so, because my husband has a very similar brain issue. I kinda wish I knew before I picked it up. I might have avoided this one, but once I was in it was too late to stop, so I just finished it. Solving your own murder before you die is a very clever premise.

Hubby is on vacation and it‘s seriously cutting into my reading time. I‘m loving this one, but I have 50 pages left in part 1. I‘ll finish it today. Talk amongst yourselves and I‘ll be back later. lol #CosmereBuddyRead

This one feels so small in my hands. Lol If anyone wants me to make the parts shorter, just let me know. Judging by how we have been doing so far, I think we can do this one in two weeks. #CosmereBuddyRead

I liked this one. I kinda want to read the next one now. lol But from what I have read the order matters. Oh, well. I can‘t wait to hear what you all thought of where this one went. There was on part where I cheered really loud. I bet you can guess. #CosmereBuddyRead

Sorry I‘m late. I might have forgotten what day it is. Summer is not my season. Anyway, I‘m so glad there are other books in this series, because I don‘t think we are going to get all the answers I need by the end of this one. And I was so worried he was going to kill someone I liked this week. I am riding in the edge. I have trust issues with this man now. lol
#CosmereBuddyRead

I fell behind on this part for a bit. Summer is so busy. And so hot. Yuck. I‘m just finishing up the interludes today. But that was an action packed section wasn‘t it? And I loved the scene with Wit. I hope there is more of that to come. #CosmereBuddyRead

Hubby likes to buy me weird gifts that I might love just because I‘m weird. I love my new reading pool! It has just enough water to stay cool while getting a little sun. The hardest part is not getting too much sun. I just need him to bring me drinks now.

Happy Canada Day! This one is getting really hard to put down between parts. But I make myself because I want to avoid posting spoilers. lol I‘m very interested to see where things go now that Shallan and Kal have met. And just where did that Shardblade come from?!
#CosmereBuddyRead

“Bury my bones in the midnight soil, plant them shallow and water them deep, and in my place will grow a feral rose, soft red petals hiding sharp white teeth.”
Exactly as promised, toxic lesbian vampires. I didn‘t like it as much as Addie, but I still liked it very much. I might have to break down and read a series.

I did it again. Accidentally, fell into a signed copy. Apparently, 2025 is also my year for fantasy. But how do you even resist toxic lesbian vampires?! I loved Addie, so I have very high hopes for this one. Someone make me tea, I‘m going in!

I‘m posting this tonight, because I‘m going to be really busy for the next couple of days and I didn‘t want to forget. Was that not an amazing first part?! I was happy and sad and anxious. So many surprises! I can‘t wait to see where Sanderson takes us next.
#CosmereBuddyRead

I am not okay. That was an emotional tsunami. Wave after wave . I ugly sobbed through the last 80 pages or so. It‘s fantastic. And just what I expect from TJR. "Happiness is so hard to come by. I don't understand why anyone would begrudge anyone else for managing to find some of it." Also, a great choice for Pride month.

Happy Tuesday! Here is the reading schedule for Words of Radiance. I think it‘s going to be a good one. I just started it and I already have so many questions! I can‘t put it down.
#CosmereBuddyRead

Cass is being bossy.

Happy Tuesday! This ending was so good. I can‘t wait to see where the next book takes us. That being said, how is everyone progressing? I‘m wondering if you would all like to take an extra week to catch up or should I just keep moving forward? I know this was a hard one to get into. I will leave it up to you. I‘ll check back later today to see where everyone stands. #CosmereBuddyRead
