This book could not have come at a more perfect time in my life, and the whole point of it has nothing to do with $ at all. It's an easy read and easy to comprehend. Finished it all in one sitting! No complicated numbers or formulas, although there are some very useful tools at the end of the book.

A yawn for Sasha, but I am liking this one so far. Had a bit of a slow start for me, but I just hit page 100 and it is getting GOOOOOD. Trying to finish this piece before the Hulu series starring Reese Witherspoon & Kerry Washington comes out. I like the freedom of invisioning everything how I want it before the series comes out so I can compare. #dogsoflitsy

We're not quite asleep in this picture, but now that I'm writing this, she's completely out 💤. Way late to jump on this train, BUT I have been very excited to start this one for a long time! So far, I've read a couple of pages and I'm quite pleased. Now that the movie is coming out, I can't get the image of Cate Blanchett out of my head and I think the character suits her well. I was quite excited for this one and actually purchased it on Amazon, but, I repeat, don't waste your time on this one. It is extremely basic advice that we already know from common sense. I wanted to get through this book so the only time I read it was during my 30 min lunch breaks and even that was painful. Maybe I don't get her humor or vibe, but this book was a flat out WASTE. Any thoughts from people that loved or hated it? What am I missing?

I'm back...again! I heard someone mention this podcast so I jumped right over to Castbox and gave a few episodes a listen (poor quality sound 🙄 made it a bit irritating) and then jumped on here to read some reviews about the book (a lot of mixed ones) so I decided to give it a try myself. Stay tuned...

Currently I am on about 4th or 5th short story and this book is going with my current needs of short and easy reading. The stories are all over the place and there is no particular theme. There's humor, sadness and complete understanding of every day life. I also like the different typewriters before the start of each story and there was a Russian one so extra points in my book. I'll give this collection a so-so for now until I finish. #shortstory

Would have been done in one night, but you know, life..I was hesitant to pick this title up because I didn't want it to be something politically bias knowing the New Yorker. This was a pleasant surprise for my first memoir and right up my alley with the cartoons. Bob Mankoff has a great dry sense of humor and I found myself laughing throughout. He included some background about himself, but mostly it was focused on the popular New Yorker cartoon.

Pleasantly intrigued by this book so far. Can not put it down and am already almost half way through. Granted...it does have a lot of cartoons in it. Here's to my 1st memoir...and pardon our pillows that are covered in hair.. it's shedding season for this one.

And we are back at it. Downgrading myself to young adult, since I haven't been able to focus or get myself through one book since starting my new job. #adultingishard

So I set out to read this book after rave reviews, however, I just started a new job and it was a bit of a heavier read...so this one is a to be continued...

Alice is the main character who is diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer's. It was honestly so heartbreaking to see how this disease took over her mind. I liked the author's progression. I actually felt like I was going through it with Alice with the way everything was written I would have to flip back and see the difference from first being diagnosed to present.

This is the author's debut novel. It was such and easy read and hard to put down. You get invested in the strong characters right away. It's about the sacrifices and how far a couple will go to build a family based on the taboo "Western" beliefs that are still alive in Nigeria. It's heartbreaking because there is so much loss within the novel, but it leaves you with hope at the end. And I got to learn about another culture which was ?.
