For #loveyourpetday this is Apollo. He is a Great Pyrenese mix and the best dog in the world. He loves the outdoors no matter the weather. This is first snow though and he LOVES it. Snow in Vegas is rare so we are all enjoying it. Kids are hoping for a snow day tomorrow (they have never had a snow day). #dogsoflitsy
pickAlice is the main character who is diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer's. It was honestly so heartbreaking to see how this disease took over her mind. I liked the author's progression. I actually felt like I was going through it with Alice with the way everything was written I would have to flip back and see the difference from first being diagnosed to present.

pickThis is the author's debut novel. It was such and easy read and hard to put down. You get invested in the strong characters right away. It's about the sacrifices and how far a couple will go to build a family based on the taboo "Western" beliefs that are still alive in Nigeria. It's heartbreaking because there is so much loss within the novel, but it leaves you with hope at the end. And I got to learn about another culture which was ?.
