It's a beautiful, warm, night in the district, perfect for #audiowalking
Taking a break from life and visiting a bookstore. Didn't find the book I was looking for but something always finds me.
"Working" while reading ?. Intetesting theories presented so far!
Been in a slight reading slump but Poirot always seems to get me out of those. Re-reading one of my favorites, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.🕵🏻♂️ #tbrr2019
Enjoying the beautiful weather and trying not to die of allergies. Still worth it. #audiowalking 🤧🌸
Technically my balcony should be off-limits at the moment but they haven't locked me out yet for this repairs project 🤫. Basking in the sunshine at the moment and my team's victory last night 🎉🏀🧡. Reading my orange book to match my orange dress. I'm not much into sports but Iove when my alma mater does well. Go Hoos!! #uva #wahoowa
Thank goodness I sorted on my bed or else I would have gotten tired and given up half way through. But finally, organized by genre!!! From left to right: classics, picture books, mystery, thrillers, horror, fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, young adult, contemporary, history, memoir, true crime and science! Even have a whole cubby free out of frame for current reads! 😁📚📚 #shelfie
It's a long time coming, have never really organized them fully since moving in nearly 2 years ago 🤦🏻♀️. Wish me luck! #audioworking to the tagged book for motivation. 📚📚📚📚
My building will start balcony repairs in about a week, blocking my view and favorite reading space all summer 🙁. Making the most of the time I have left though and the favorable temperatures to read outside as much as I can today. Starting off the morning with coffee and this delightful medical history book! ☕👩🏻⚕️
Back from a few-week Litsy hiatus! Had a lot going on but have never stopped reading 📚. I've been bingeing Hercule Poirot, and am on my third book in a row. Really enjoying these short stories, perfect for picking up when you need a quick fix of Poirot.
Saw this in a used book store and just knew I had to have it. I'm always fascinated by cemeteries, graveyards, and all things morbid. I love learning about the history of cemeteries in particular, and now I've got a list to visit and learn about (at least from the comfort of my reading chair)
Now to just attach the owl and weave in ends!! Riding the dopamine high right now so this audiobook I just started is very appropriate. Finally mostly done!!!! #audiocrocheting
I just ate some broccoli before this I swear! 🌭🍟 #litsypartyofone
Unpopular opinion, but I really didn't like this book 🙁. Seemed very lifetime original movie to me and I have a very low tolerance for sappy things. Glad I have a book club in my life to make me read outside my comfort zone, and even gladder still I get to choose my next book. #unpopularopinion
Nothing says a fun evening like "visualizing your data using real-world business scenarios"! But actually I'm a huge data nerd and I love getting paid to make pretty charts all day. ??
Listening to this audiobook as I do mindless work and I'm so thankful my office door is closed otherwise people could hear me saying WTF and similar exclamations every few seconds. If you need to feel angry about bad science, terrible justice systems, and corrupt people, this is a book for you. 😡😡😡
Some light reading for #socksunday. Honestly I'm super fascinated and can't put it down.
Just found out about the #winterstormreadathon and I'm definitely in! Hopefully just skirting the snowy weather here in DC but I've got a lot of audiocrocheting to do this weekend. #currentread is a re-read of East of Eden and I think it's even better the second time. @MrBook @BookBabe
Taking a break from Marie Kondo-ing my clothes to enjoy the view. I'm happy to spend all day inside reading and listening to audiobooks. Sherlock narrated by Stephen Fry is especially wonderful on a day like today 💙📖🌨
I moved this book up my TBR so I could watch the Netflix movie but shouldn't have bothered. The book is wonderfully scary and the movie is just meh. Only half way through the film and I might not finish. But I'm thankful for a very good read. #thebookwasbetter
One finished after midnight and in the books for 2019! I think this year I'm going to be a lot more flexible with my goals, other than a pretty achievable Goodreads challenge, I'm planning on doing a #tbrr2019. I have so many books on my shelf that I loved the first time or I think need a second chance that I'm going to try for at least one re-read a month 📚📚
Well, it looks like I won't finish Unsheltered before midnight, so it'll be the first read of 2019. Going to take my sparkling water and head to bed, where I'll drift off to my audiobook 🎧 Hope you all have a very happy new year!! 🎉📖 #booksandbubbles #readinthenewyear
My plans for tonight include catching up on my book journaling, trying to squeeze in one last book, and enjoying some spiked hot chocolate in the company of you wonderful littens. 💕 Happy to #readinthenewyear this evening. 🎉📚 @hermyknee
And with that I'm done with the #litsyclassics A-Z challenge! All books I've never read before (and quite a few I'll never read again). Really enjoyed this challenge, and looking forward to some more modern reading next year! Thanks @Sarah83 for organizing! Tagged book is my favorite on this list.
My friends are amazing!! Just received this incredible book handbag as a belated birthday/Christmas present! I'm in love with the edition of Rebecca used to create this 💙💙 #bookgift
Borrowed this audiobook as a slight diversion from my last few #litsyclassics (only 2 more to go!), and found this surprise gem. Fascinating biography of an American family, and especially the long-lived heiress Huguette Clark. Audiobook version features recorded phone calls with Ms. Clark which provides sense of knowing her personally.
Not a huge fan of the writing style and I just can't seem to get into all the storylines. Ended up just reading the ones I liked and skipping the others. So sad too cause it is such a realistic feminist dystopian concept.
Happily woke up this morning and was able to read the titles of the books on my shelves beside my bed (and not just 1Q84)! Amazed with how well I can see now after vision correction surgery!! 🚫👓
Yay! Came in just in time for eye surgery tomorrow :/ But still glad it finally came in. Hopefully my Dec books won't end up being this late too. #botm
