My most anticipated middle-grade releases in 2022. At least through the end of August... #MiddleGrade #MiddleGradeMarch #mgbuddyread If you've never read any middle-grade novels, I would definitely recommend picking one up! There's something for everyone.

megnews I‘m super excited for Lines of Courage. I just love Nielsen. 1mo

@ImperfectCJ have already read & loved three off of your list and look forward to reading five more. I have read the following:
Elijah of Buxton
Esperanza Rising
When You Reach Me

I think I'll start with a nonfiction in January, and work on more throughout the year. Prairie Lotus was already on my radar for #MiddleGradeMarch!

A huge thank you to @monalyisha for all your hard work!👏#NYWD22 #newyearwhodis

I have wanted to listen to this book since it was recommended during #MiddleGradeMarch. It wasn‘t what I expected. It was better. It‘s the story of a young girl who comes to America from Syria with her Mother when things start to get dangerous. She tries to learn more English, make friends and find her strong self again. I hope ESL teachers get lots of respect, her ESL class was her safe space. #100YEARS100BOOKS #70! #BookSpinBingo #9 #NUTSinMAY

Read 15 books in April! Still way ahead of where I used to be. Not as much fun as #MiddleGradeMarch, but a successful #YApril in my opinion. I read 9 YA books, finished 5 of the 6 prompts for Spring #BOOKED2021, 3 books for the #DisabilityReadathon and decided to continue reading books with disabled authors or MC each month, read 6 of the 7 prompts for #ThankfulAthon. Also added 15 books to my quest of reading 100 books this year! A good month!

Pickpick

This is a light pick for me and seemed to suffer like many middle books of a series. Our skeleton bard is still on the hunt to find out who he is and he's still accompanied by his trusty companion, the gelatinous goo. The new characters we meet here aren't as charming or cute as in Vol 1. The artwork continues to be amazing and we moved toward our goal.

Volume 3 comes out this month & there's a website where you can listen to Stitch's songs.

🍫 🍭What's your favorite candy?🍭🍫
Take 5, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and Chocolate-covered marshmallow egg/tree/pumpkin shapes here!

This was a light pick for me, but might be better for the intended MG kids. We follow 4 kids through a candymaking competition with layers of the day including through each kid's POV. This isn't just marshmallow fluff, though. These kids are dealing with some real life issues and ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick and there's some humor. Early on, uptight rich kid Phillip says "we're losing daylight here" and he's exactly the type of kid you'd expect to say it!? Daisy has an outlandish background and it was rather unbelievable.
This had been on my radar for a couple of years so I was glad for the chance to read the book. Keep the candy close by! Thanks @megnews #mgmarch #middlegrademarch

#MGMarch #MiddleGradeMarch @megnews
My last post, It's been a great March. I didn't read all the books I planed, but I read quite a few.

5⭐ A Single Shard 12th century Korea.
Another orphan story I loved.

4.5⭐ Because of Winn-Dixie
What's better than a book about an orphaned kid? an orphaned dog. A great story of how Winn-Dixie helps Opal make friends in a new town.

4 ⭐ The Storm in the Barn 1937
Enjoyable graphic novel of dust bowl Kansas.
