Discussion will be on or about October 18th. I‘ll probably be #ghosthosting this one, but it‘s short, so I may try it. Everyone is welcome to join in!

DGRachel I have to admit I'm #ghosthosting again. As a #mopargirl, I fully expected to love this tale of a boy and his Plymouth Fury, but I must have just been in a mood when I tried to read this. I've seen a lot of love here for it, but it's a #bail for me, at least for now. I tried both print and audio and never got far. I was just bored and annoyed. 😩 Sorry #LosersClub! (edited) 1mo
Ashley_Nicoletto I enjoyed this one WAY more than I thought I would! 1mo
BookwormAHN I was quite shocked at how much I enjoyed this one. 1mo
DGRachel @Ashley_Nicoletto @BookwormAHN Sounds like I really need to give it another go when I'm in a different mood. (edited) 1mo
Lizpixie This has always been one of my favourite Kings. I first read it when I was in high school(I know, a very long time ago)and the dynamic between Dennis, Arnie & Leigh was highly relatable to 15yr old me but then you throw in that monstrous car and it‘s #CliquesGoneDemonic I even enjoyed the movie version, it‘s not up there with the original Carrie or Salem‘s Lot, but it‘s still disturbing in all the best ways🚗😈🚶🏻‍♂️👫 1mo
AnansiGirl All the times I‘ve read Christine, I‘ve never caught on until this reading how Arnie‘s personality changed into that LeBay character. (edited) 1mo
Karkar This was my first time reading Christine and I enjoyed it. I was surprised as I did not think I was going to like it! But it was better than I expected. @AnansiGirl it took me more that it should have to catch that part too! 1mo
Karkar @DGRachel what is the next book? 1mo
DGRachel @Karkar I‘m such a terrible hostess. I‘m sorry. Give me about 10 minutes and I‘ll do the reminder posts. I can‘t remember off the top of my head. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 1mo

BookwormAHN My hold at library still hasn't come in for Pet Sematary but I'm ready for next month's chat on Christine. 2mo
TheBookAddict So, who else was at the end like, what?!? What happened after she came back?!? Was she an evil demon or was he right? Did he have to burry her ASAP so she could come back more like herself? What happened after that? Did they go to Florida? What happened to Ellie? So many question!!! 😔 I need to call King and ask him all of these questions 😝. 2mo
Ashley_Nicoletto @TheBookAddict Me! 🤣🤣 I have so many open questions still. I didn‘t particularly care for this one. It wasn‘t my favorite King. I mostly felt like the book was moving along at a pretty slow case and then BOOM everyone‘s being resurrected from the dead. 2mo
Karkar @TheBookAddict me too!! I loved this one. It was the first time I read it. 2mo
TheBookAddict @Ashley_Nicoletto true, it was a bit slow, but I still liked it. It seems like he was making sure to develop his characters quite a bit, maybe so you‘d feel more for them the stuff hit the ceiling fan. In some parts I was a bit impatient for him to get to the good stuff though. @Karkar it was also my first time reading it. Now I need to go watch the movie 😆. 2mo

Karkar This was a fun one. I had forgot how messed up Apt Pupil was. 3mo
JulAnna It was fun to re-read this. I was surprised at how much content from the Shawshank Redemption movie was actually not in SK‘s original. Also, these are the stories that I wish everyone who dismisses him as a ‘horror writer‘ should read. There is some just plain good writing here, imo. 3mo
DGRachel @JulAnna I agree wholeheartedly. It‘s been nearly 30 years since I‘ve read The Body, but I remember loving the writing so much. 3mo
Readingismyescape @Karkar I listened to this one and found Apt Pupil hard to get thru. The writing is good, but the story is tough. 2mo
Readingismyescape @DGRachel The Body & Shawshank Redemption were amazing and I rewatched the movies and loved them again too. 2mo

teainthelibrary How did I not know this was a thing? What is the next read?? 3mo
DGRachel @teainthelibrary We‘ve been going through all of King‘s books in publication order for about a year and a half now. It‘s a very casual buddy read. Each books starts on the 19th of the month, with open discussion on or about the 18th of the following month. It‘s open to everyone who wants to join in. I‘ll add you to the list of people I tag, if you want. I‘ll also try to find this year‘s schedule & tag you in that post. 😊 3mo
teainthelibrary @DGRachel amazing! Thank you so much for the tags! I just might join the next two since I recently just finished Pet Sematary and have Christine on my bookshelf 😍 3mo
