Settling in with Madam Vice President!
Do you hear that? It‘s the sound of glass starting to break everywhere. So emotional.
I saw this last night on Instagram and it made me tear up. 😭
My last picture book for #bbrc and I think I saved the best for last. I learned so many things about our Vice President-Elect. I am so glad that this book is out so, so many little girls and POC can see that they can be anything they want to be. Reading this book gave me chills. I am going to need to get a copy of this book for myself!

That‘s what I look forward to. The return of kindness.
Guess what my niece is getting for Christmas this year? It's ALWAYS books!
It has been one LONG week in America. Today was good. Tonight was even better. 💙 💙
💙🇺🇸🙌🏼 we finally have a woman in the White House. Whether you voted red or blue, this an historical moment.
Guess what I am giving to all the kiddos this Christmas?! What a momentous day for women of color in particular, & women and girls in America! #KamalaVP #strongwomen #history #kidlit #shatteredglassceiling

This is how we all celebrate when there‘s a pandemic and we are just so tired from waiting for the outcome. BUT SO HAPPY! 💙💙💙
When‘s young girl comes home upset after being told that girls can‘t be president, her mother tells the true story of vice presidential hopeful Kamala Harris.
Named after a flower with deep roots, the story begins with an exploration of Kamala‘s family, ending with her step aside from the 2020 presidential race, but not including the vice presidential nominee, “Kamala Harris is still writing her American story.”
