QOTD: Where would your Book Passport tell me that you have travelled to? Far of places? Alien Planets?

I probably wouldn‘t have liked this as much if Jim Dale didn‘t read it. I really didn‘t like Peter Pan. He was kind of a jerk. Tinkerbell was pretty awful too.
It does make me want to watch the Disney movie now though!
Audiobook 2 done, total 3 books finished for #BFCr2 #SmallSteppers
Peter Pan is one of those books that you can read again and again. It‘s fun, lighthearted and magical. I have always LOVED the idea of flying, and, well, “He can fly!" ! And the whole thing about NOT growing up is kinda appealing as well. 4.9 ⭐️
Maybe I‘m just a Negative Nancy, but seeing this quote misquoted (mostly in tattoos) all the time drives me nuts. The more “geared towards children” productions turned it around to, “To live would be an awfully big adventure”; where in the book, Peter says, “to die...”
Both are beautiful, but I‘d love to see someone reference the correct quote for once 😓😅
"...so long as children are gay and innocent and heartless."
All children, except one, grow up. 📚

Here‘s my motivation photo for the #bookfitnesschallenge. Scout is a wonderful dog and he helps to keep me motivated to take him for walks. I just bought him a new leash and brush.
It‘s been a long time since I‘ve read the tagged. I‘m not sure the 100+ year old story holds up. Overall, the framework & the premise still work, but the story gets bogged down in the middle & the characterization of the tribe is not PC for today.
Jim Dale, as always, does a fabulous job narrating.
In the meantime, I‘m at SeaTac about to catch a flight to DC & will be out of pocket for a bit.
Audiobook 2/6 for #BookFitnessChallenge
I was hungry & exhausted when I got home this afternoon. I didn‘t want to do anything but sit. But some little dog gave me the sad puppy eyes. And I did commit to walk him at least 1 mile every day. So we did our mile while I listened to Peter Pan.
#BookFitnessChallenge Week 2
Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, 1911. This is a classic tale of whimsy that really defines the modern fantasy genre. It‘s told colorfully and beautifully and really shows itself to be worthy of the classic status it has. It‘s sweet and brings the magic of imagination into the real world.
Audiobook for out busy family day! I'll be squeezing in what reading I can today but it won't be much. #readathon
Peter Pan by J M Barrie is a modern fantasy book that was published in 1904. This is a story about a boy named Peter pan who takes young Wendy and her siblings to Neverland. In the Neverlands Peter Pan is trapped by pirate Hook. The reason Peter Pan is in the Neverlands is because he was scared to grow up so he ran away.
First post as new to the app :) taking a trip to neverland loved the film adaptations so hoping this book will be just as magical :)
I have some confusing and rather heavy feelings about this book.......but then again I‘ve grown old and it takes more effort to fly nowadays. On the upside this was on my TBR this year and I happen to find this beautiful edition this past weekend. I will most definitely seek out the collections. Our girls just because.....

I have been thinking about this all day & after a lot of careful thought have come to the conclusion that Neverland from Peter Pan is my favorite book location. I love Neverland because it has pirates, mermaids, fairies, adventure, happiness & it is so beautiful there. As a kid I always wished I could fly off to Neverland.
Just finished the audiobook on my road trip today. I really enjoyed this book, and had the beautiful eerie feeling of having read it or heard it before- and not just because of the Disney movie. Such a grand reflection on childhood, such a uniquely written book. I love love love the clever and beautiful style of writing, and the lovable knowable characters- and love that their flaws are so prominent to their story. Forever a favorite.
This book is a magical fantasy filled with adventure, traveling into the world of Neverland with a boy who never grows up. Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and three children fly to Neverland, a world with magic, magical creatures, and mischief. Captain Hook portrays the character to be evil, wanting revenge on Peter and his lost boys. Genre: Modern Fantasy; Published: 1911; Illustrator: Dana Tanamachi
In this fantasy tale, Peter Pan & tinker bell take 3 average kids on the adventure of their lives. They face unrealistic situations, battling Captain Hook but learn about the power of friendship. I‘m sure many kids have seen the movie so I would encourage them to read the text version.
In this little section the story dives into the diverse characters that embody this book! Fairies, beasts, redskins, pirates, and lost boys! A whole abundance of characters that set the story and make you believe in magic!
I love this style of book!! It‘s super cute, light, and easy to read through! I definitely want to try to read these other books! The Wizard of Oz is a classic story I love!
Published in 1967 and illustrated by Dana Tanamachi, this modern fantasy book features eccentric characters and preposterous situations by having magical characters fly to a land in which has unbelievable situations and components within! I believe the underlying truth in this story is the idea that if you have strong friendships and faith you can prosper through anything, even captain hook. Also that good prevails!
I haven't done a photo challenge in forever. I can never seem to commit but I love these mini ones!
Wendy and Alice weren't just voiced by the same person but they look alike, dress alike and both find themselves trying to navigate a unique world with an interesting cast of friends, hoping to make it home 🧚♀️

“Are none of the others girls?” “Oh no; girls, you know, are much too clever to fall out of their prams.”
