How I spent my Sunday. I stayed away from social media and read the whole book in one day. I haven't done that in a few years. It was the perfect light frothy romance I needed and I loved it. I'll be sure to read the next two. Another 329 pages for #NovelNovember for a total of 681 of my 700-page goal. Also #Frenemies for #Booked2021 @Andrew65 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft

Cinfhen Yay!!!! I love to unplug some days!! So glad the book delivered 🥳 6mo

To fulfill the #frenemies prompt for @Booked2021, I chose this “classic.“ Admittedly, I've never seen the show -- too much teen drama and scandal for me. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining -- just not so entertaining that I had an overwhelming desire to keep reading the series. (I totally cheated and read the Wikipedia entry to figure out the answer to the my biggest unanswered question!)

@cinfhen @Barbarathebibliophage @4thhouseontheleft

Cinfhen Hahaha, that‘s probably the review I would have written if I read this book!! Loved how you used Wiki to get the answers you needed!!! That was heads-up thinking 😍🤓🙌🏻 6mo
BarbaraTheBibliophage I hear you with the teenage angst. It‘s one reason I struggle with any YA book. 🤩 6mo

#BookReport

All finished books are 4 🌟 reads accept for the tagged book which was 2 🌟. It was my #Bookspin and my Frenemies #Booked2021.

I am trying Shadow of the Wind on audio and moved from audio to print for Dr. Z. I have to say I‘m still a little confused but not ready to throw in the towel yet. Villette is for my last Booked prompt..lesser known book.

Still behind on Warmth but hope to be caught up soon.

Cinfhen Too bad your choice for #Frenemies wasn‘t great 😔 6mo
Cinfhen I loved the Hoffman 6mo

I've read the DI Rebus bks for many yrs +with bk 21 rebus, retired + in poor health finds himself again part of an investigation involving the Edinburgh criminal World as an historic murder links to money laundering. Thru the series villain Big Ger Cafferty + Rebus have fought each other, in retirement they still hate each other but there grudging respect - frenemies??

Cinfhen Woohoo 🙌🏻 @KarenUK #booked2022 is going to be CHALLENGING 😅but totally worth it 💕💕💕 7mo
TracyReadsBooks I‘m very interested to hear what you think of Harlem Shuffle. 7mo
Cinfhen It was disappointing @TracyReadsBooks I found it similar to Deacon King Kong but not as memorable. It was definitely missing something 🤷🏼‍♀️ 7mo
TracyReadsBooks @Cinfhen I agree with you 💯! (And half suspect I might already have done so when you posted your review and just don‘t remember 😂) 7mo
Singout Wow!!! You go! 7mo
TrishB Definitely frenemies and may also be latinx author (need to check that one!) 7mo
Cinfhen We definitely had this conversation before @TracyReadsBooks 😁but at least we haven‘t changed our opinions 😘 7mo
Cinfhen Thanks @Singout I‘m READY for #Booked2022!!! 7mo
Cinfhen LatinX shouldn‘t be too difficult @TrishB but #Frenemies is a bit tricky!! My choice was fun but not 💯 memorable 7mo
Cinfhen I think C might like it too @TrishB 7mo
BarbaraBB Excited for #Booked2022!! 💃💝 7mo
TrishB I think C will definitely like that 👍🏻 7mo
Cinfhen When are you unveiling #ReadingAfrica @BarbaraBB ??? 7mo
BarbaraBB In November too I think. And we should post a reminder about #DecemberChill! Will send you an email about it soon! 7mo
Cinfhen Yes!!! Definitely a reminder for #DecemberChill @BarbaraBB 7mo
TracyReadsBooks @Cinfhen It was starting to sound a little familiar! 😂 The brain is aging…or maybe I just can‘t get over my disappointment with the book. 🤷‍♀️ 7mo
Cinfhen Hahaha 🤣 @TracyReadsBooks it‘s probably a little of both 😘 7mo
Bookzombie I‘m excited to see the new prompts! I think I have three to go for this year. 7mo

I have seen mixed reviews for this book, but it hit the creepy mark for me. I highly recommend the audio if you pick it up.
In 1959, all of the residents of Silvertjarn, except a dead body hanging on a pole and an infant, found alive, disappear. Now, Alice and four other documentary crew members return to the old mining village to find out what happened. The story unfolds flipping back and forth between 1959 and now.

Reggie Is it found footage? Is there shaky cam? Lol have you watched Hellhouse. There‘s a trilogy but they all have their creepy moments. It‘s found footage of these people putting a haunted house up in a haunted hotel. Good stuff. 7mo
Bookzombie @Reggie Lol. The crew is actually there to get video and more details for their Kickstarter so they can fund the full documentary. I haven‘t watched Hellhouse. I will have to check it out. 7mo
Cinfhen This sounds delightfully creepy!! 7mo

I really needed something light and fun, and this cozy did not disappoint. It's not world changing, but it's certainly entertaining! And now I really want to try some of the recipes...

TheKidUpstairs Ooh, and I can use this one for #Booked2021 - Lila's investigation is helped by a few old #frenemies @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft @Cinfhen 7mo
4thhouseontheleft This looks like a fun read, it‘s slowly creeping higher on my TBR! 7mo
BarbaraTheBibliophage The perfect #frenemies choice! Think you might try any of the recipes?? 7mo

TheKidUpstairs @BarbaraTheBibliophage I'm going to try the Chicken Adobo one, hopefully in the next couple weeks. And I have some purple sweet potatoes, so I might sub that for the ube to try the ube crinkles recipe! I'll post pictures of whatever I end up making! 7mo
TheKidUpstairs @4thhouseontheleft it is fun for when you just want to turn off your brain and have fun! 7mo
BarbaraTheBibliophage @TheKidUpstairs Fun!! I love Filipino Adobo. My husband is part Filipino, so I enjoyed the whole vibe of this book. 7mo
