Berry crumble. I could have licked the bowl clean.

The tagged zombie #RomCom #audiobook has reached "cringe" level (words for private parts ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️). I think I'm going to bail.

The perfect #Sunday #Summer for me is reading in the shade with nonalcoholic beer and enjoying the summer weekend before going back to work. I'm listening to ocean waves asmr because children from the village are playing at our playground.
What is your perfect summer reading place?

@StayCurious

kspenmoll My perfect summer reading place in summer is my front porch! 1w
maich @kspenmoll That's beautiful. In Europe, houses do not have a porch, they usually have a terrace at the back of the house. But I have always admired porches in movies and series. Especially in autumn and Christmas movies, when they are decorated nicely. ❤️❤️ 1w
StayCurious What a nice post! I love reading outside when it‘s quiet and peaceful, like in a park or at a beach. This is rare because most often public places in Ottawa are packed 🙄 1w
maich @StayCurious I completely understand you. That's way I'm listening to asmr voices. 1w

Eat Dessert First | Michelle Paris

This was a sweet romance with a lot of heart.

The story is about Abbey, a plus sized architect turned baker, and her journey towards love and self acceptance. I loved that the book explored deeper topics like fat shaming and aging parents. Caring for an ailing parent is a very common thing these days, but I rarely see it depicted in books.

Finding Mr. Write | Kelley Armstrong

I listened to Armstrong‘s foray into writerly romance novels in the wrong order— this one actually came out last year, but after loving WRITING MR. WRONG, I couldn‘t resist using an Audible credit! Daphne submits her zombie YA novel under a male pseudonym & is shocked when her wildest dreams come true for her writing but she needs to hire an actor to be the face of Zane Remington. And Chris, though not actually an actor, steps in & sparks fly!

willaful Sounds like a hat tip to Remington Steele... 2mo
TorieStorieS @willaful I didn‘t even think of that! 😊 2mo

Writing Mr. Wrong | Kelley Armstrong

Armstrong‘s one of my favorite writers & I love how versatile (& hard-working—multiple books out per year is appreciated!) & talented she is! Listening to this #romcom was a ton of fun! Divorced after a year, Gemma‘s life is finally great—her first novel is published & she agrees to go on a morning show, she‘s horrified that the former classmate recognized the inspiration for her hero—another former classmate & now hockey star. Has Mason changed?

Monday finds me on #Seattle ‘s UW campus, where each of Barrett Bloom's steps feels borrowed from the day before. We get glimpses of Mount Rainier and references to Mercer Island and Bellevue—PNW has my heart. 🌲

I LOVED this. I'm a fan, but this is a favorite. Katie is so likable. The storyline is exciting. Hutch is swoon-worthy and he has a Great Dane. (Like me!) I could not love this book more.🤓❤️ #greatread #romcom

Plot Twist | Eleanor Goymer

This was a cute rom-com!

The premise is so fun. Two authors facing immense writers block decide to “switch” plot ideas for their next books.

The star of the book was the two authors, Allie and Martin, and their writing relationship and friendship. I love that an old male crime author can become friends with a young female romance author.
