pickThis is a soft pick. The story is incredibly entertaining and sucked me in. But the writing was just okay. There are plenty of fantasy tropes and some moments that made me cringe. But I kept turning the page and I enjoyed the romance part of it. I can see now why there‘s so much hype about this series. I‘m definitely continuing to book 2.

pickMarch 2025 Book 2 A re-read for me but I only read the first 2 books. Now I‘m planning to finish the series, obviously, next year 😂It was enjoyable to go back to this world and I could say I enjoyed more the story now than the first time. Looking forward to see the dynamic of this “romance?” triangle. We know things will drastically change in the next books. panMeet Feyre, the youngest daughters to a failed merchant. The families survival depends purely on Feyre and then she is taken away from her family by a faerie as punishment. During the first two hundred and fifty pages we watch as Feyre continuously goes back and forth to if she is escaping or not. Round and round we go.
I do not understand the hype around this book.

pickI know everyone says the series takes off in book 2. I‘m not sure I‘m going to move on to it. This was ok but I wasn‘t that into it. I didn‘t get a book photo before I returned it, so you get a kitty photo.

I‘m reading ACOTAR ironically- my bookclub topic is “popular trash”, and this was the first thing that came to mind. Mainly because I‘ve heard of how spicy the series is, no offense to anyone! I do like fantasy, so I expect to like it. But is the hype real? I‘ll let you know. 😁📚

pickThis didn‘t quite live up@to the hype, but it was still a good read. I‘m super excited to have the whole series in front of me yet. I loved the interweaving of fairytales. Beauty and the Beast, Vasalisa and the Doll, Bluebeard, Baba Yaga. So good.

pickSecond time read for me so I can approach the entire series. Still doesn‘t hold a candle to Fourth Wing IMO, but it‘s fine! Not a huge Fae fan, and I find they are so vague in this series that I feel like I‘m an oblivious dunce who tried to sneak into a private event. I hope the rest of the books have more complex character and relationship development.
It's Carnival weekend and we've been on the carnival parade. The time when I finally get to dress up as my favourite fantasy character. I haven't found the bat wings. But I did find spring coloured wings and fairy ears. So, this weekend I'm a fairy from the Spring Court. It matters that I belong to the world of ACOTAR.🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️

pickI‘m not much of a fantasy/romantasy girl, but I did enjoy this! With all the hype surrounding this series, I‘m glad I finally read it because I was so curious about all the hype. I think it lived up to it! Great world-building, plenty of tension, and some spice! I‘d definitely be up to continuing the series.

pickI had heard so many things about this series so was keen to read the first book as part of #litsylovesromance.
Magical lands, violence, adventure, beasts, faerie‘s - there was so much going on and that doesn‘t include the romance. The relationship between Tamlin and Feyre was swoon worthy .
A seductive, adventure that the author detailed perfectly. I can‘t wait to read the next one.

Yeah, he seems like a jerk but he knows what‘s going on. Tamlin is still keeping things from Feyre - to protect her or himself and his realm? Can he really send her home? Will she leave her newfound home now that she finally feels comfortable there? She might not have a choice. ⬇️
