Hmmm...I would recommend this to teenagers...I like it and I'll definitely finish the series just to know what happens in the end.
To be a teenager again...
On today‘s new episode of my podcast, I welcome the first-EVER return guest! Jessica Goodman is BACK — and on the book birthday of her amazing debut, They Wish They Were Us (seriously — one of the best books I‘ve read this summer!). Tune in to hear us swap our wild experiences rereading Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging. Link to listen in bio!
I enjoyed this book and I will probably read more in the series. There were a few moments of political incorrectness that surprised me, but then I checked and saw it was published in 1999.
Georgia and the Ace Gang fight the power where school #uniform is concerned. #QuotsyJune19

I say every few months that I'm going to come back here and it never quite pans out but I'm going to give it a go anyway. I'm doing some rereads of old favourites over the summer while I write my thesis and this is the first one I'm tackling. Thoughts so far: I'm cringing at some of the “-isms“ in this book - which is very of its time - but also totally remembering why I loved it so much. Check #magpiememories for my summer of rereading!
Not sure what it says about me, a grown woman, that this was legit the first thing I thought of for a #rabbits prompt. Not Watership Down itself, an actual classic, but Georgia Nicholson's lazy, homework-dodging reference to it. #loveher #SpringIntoReading
I volunteer with a group that works with teens in foster care, and one of the things they do is give the teens a new book for their birthday. Their stock of books is running low, so I'm creating an Amazon wish list to share with my friends to help restock. Tell me your favorite YA book for me to build my list! They're looking for books/poetry that aren't too heavy.
#YAWednesday prompt today was #comedy! I read this book when I was maaaybe a sophomore in high school. I completely related to the MC, and thought this book was just hilarious! @TheFunkyBookworm
“...I had a horrible time. Everyone laughed at first but then more or less ignored me. In a mood of defiant stuffed oliveness I did have a dance by myself but things kept crashing to the floor around me. The host asked if I would sit down. I had a go at that but it was useless. In the end I was at the gate for about an hour before Dad arrived.”

I know nothing about this book (it just showed up in my Goodreads deals email today), but that cat on the cover made me literally LOL! 👍. #literarycats #catsofLitsy
My first post was 1 year ago! I am so thankful for finding a positive atmosphere to share my reading life and adventures. Thank you Litsy, you are the best!
Got this one from the library for free since it's a little damaged but I don't mind. I keep losing the loose pages though 😂

Merry (belated) Christmas everyone! I didn‘t do much social networking yesterday, because these 3 are my everything!! 💜💙💛

This was a hoot! It's a fast read, laugh-out-loud funny, and I can't believe it took me so long to finally read it. #ya 😹😻😹
So much fun! Takes me back to the days of being young and all the silliness involved.
I'm looking forward to reading this one. #strangetitles #awesomeautumnbooks #ya
This week's ThriftBooks #bookhaul. I'm still waiting on two other books from the Secret Coders series for my youngest. Those comics are from the same author who wrote American Born Chinese and Boxers & Saints. Angus and The Virgin Suicides are #blameitonlitsy picks. 😁📙📘📗

If you haven't read this series you simply must. It's hilarious and one I now have decided I have to read again as it's been way too long. 😜Oh, and the way it fits this prompt is because Georgia and her friends are in a clique called the Ace Gang. 😉
Note: The titles pictured here are the US ones, but the same series was published with some varied titles and different covers in the UK.
Very meh... I definitely think I'm the wrong age range for this book. I just read it to cross off a challenge for the Biannual Bibliothon!
I sincerely doubt that's what it means here, word wise.
My favorite book that starts with an A. It's quirky and hilarious and makes my heart happy (all ten of them!) #alexgiveaway

I could not stand Georgia while reading this. Not only is she extremely self centered and has an inflated ego but she is a horrible friend. She does not care about her friends and their problems and even goes as far as purposefully giving them bad advice in the hopes that they will fail ultimately ending their 'nagging' to Georgia. Yet every single time she is talking to any of her friends, she demands that she is the center of attention.
When you have unexpected surgery and your best friend is a librarian! Time to time travel back to high school! Thanks @EclecticBookLover !

I somehow missed this in my early teens and am making up for it now. It's definitely a fun read, I love the British slang.
Day 14 - kissing books. I laughed so hard when I first read this book. It's the first of one of my favourite series! There isn't much kissing in it but it's there in the title so it's my pick for today! 💋#riotgrams @bookriot
For #YAlove, I was going to use my daughters bookshelf. And I am, but as it turns out, all these books are mine! #17booklove
British & snarky. Attacks of a terrifying house cat, stuffed olive costumes, and other 14-year-old problems. Written like a diary. Funny, but sometimes mean. First in a series. See our full review at http://dragonauthors.com/bookwyrms

These blurbs perfectly capture the entire Georgia Nicholson series! It doesn't matter how often I reread this, I laugh like a loon every time 😂🙃
Pre 21st century ukya is a little difficult for me as I never read ya as a teenager and I've only got into reading them over the last few years. So instead, I'm going to pick one I want to read and think I'll love 😃 #UKYANov
I haven't exactly been following the character challenge as of late but I'm ready to try now! I love Georgia Nicolson from the Louise Rennison series-Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. I loved these books in high school, Georgia was always so quirky and funny to me! #day7 #octphotochallenge #girlcrush #angusthongsandfullfrontalsnogging
I was looking through a couple of lists of #banned books and this book was on both. Who knows why? This is such a funny little book about a teen girl and her cat, Angus. Also provided some new vocabulary , snogging = kissing 🐱
I read this entire series with my best friends in high school. It was sooo good! I ended up buying them all and am keeping them forever ? We got stuck saying this hilarious girl's sayings. "I lobe you"!
I remember loving this series of #funnybooks when I was younger. My sisters and I used to laugh out loud at them. #bookphotochallenge #augustofpages
I loved this book in high school but wow certain aspects have not held up... Read for Popsugar Reading Challenge "a book you haven't read since high school."
A short & laugh-out-loud inducing read.
The main difficulty is that she imagines we are at school to learn stuff and we know we are at school to fill in the idle hours before we go home and hang around with our mates doing important things. Life skills, like makeup and playing records and trapping boys.
RIP Louise Rennison 😥😭
