Middle school mystery. It goes on a bit too long but is otherwise a fascinating historical mystery with a gorilla as the narrator!

Sweet and hopeful story of an immigrant from Syria. It‘s realistic with the dangers in Syria and the hurtful behavior in the US. But gives comforting resolution to all issues. Good for middle grade.

It‘s your basic Beauty and Beast plot which makes it somewhat predictable. The world of fae is well designed and mysterious. The plot expands and becomes a bit more complex. I‘d recommend it to fantasy lovers.
