1. Growing up in the countryside was so carefree, I often wonder if I grew up the city, how would I have been different!
2. Forks…I loved reading about this place in the tagged book. The trees, the rain etc

Set in southern Appalachia, a heart wrenching story of a young boy born to a single mum in a trailer park. Told in Damon‘s words he lives through child labour, foster care, high school and crushing losses.
This book is full of anger, hate and compassion, yet tells the story of the need to be loved. It features drug use and how its effects can wreck lives of loved ones. It is a depressing read but there is beauty within it too.
#sundayfunday
I‘ve met Holly Jackson, Adam Kay and Kiran Milwood Hargrave. I‘d love to meet Stephanie Garber, MG Leonard and Robin Stevens.

Mine consists of housework, making a sweet potato curry for lunch, tidying/weeding in the garden, ironing and a cheeky cuppa in the garden with my book. ❤️

I‘ve heard many things about this book, both good and bad, only one way to find out….
Leonie finds herself out of a job at the beginning of the book, her boyfriend has left her too. Whilst out walking her rescue puppy she stumbles across a beautiful cottage hidden in the woods. She is determined to find out about the history of the property. As she finds out more and uncovers secrets about the abandoned cottage, can she let love and joy back into her life?
A sweet, cosy read with a great plot and warm characters. 4🌟

Thought ‘d read a few books from my TBR list on my kindle. Only another 79 to go!
A beautiful, neurotic, London socialite called Magnolia and the bad boy , Baxter, who broke who heart. They hurt each other, she dates other people and he sleeps with girls to get back at her. Whatever happens, they crawl back to one another. This is not a romantic book! Their relationship is unbelievably toxic and should never be tolerated in real life. The book has words of love which were just words. An ok read but I won‘t continue the series.
I‘ve heard both good and bad about this book. Thought I‘d give it a go, another book from my TBR list.

Britain, 1941, the Ministry of Unladylike Activity is training children as spies. May, Nuala (the narrator) and Eric are the newest recruits. Living in a London Mews whilst training they come across an unlikely collection of neighbours and a dead body. Is this the missing spy everyone is talking about?
The wartime backdrop was really interesting and vivid descriptions of daily life during the Blitz brought the story to life. 3🌟
#Two4Tuesday
1. Tagged. I loved the first one, may have a slight crush on Roman.
2. No. I‘m trying not to buy any new books as I have far too many at home I get through.

1. It‘s the second week of Easter holidays so Belle has a check up today, Wednesday, my eldest and I are off to see A Midsummer Nights Dream at the theatre and Thursday, if the weather is nice, a trip to the zoo.

Hope you all had a great Easter 🐣
Everyone welcome to join in ❤️
Up next from my TBR list…I‘ve read all the books in the series and hope this one doesn‘t disappoint.
A young black British woman at university. Kiki, hosts the popular student radio show - Brown Sugar. Her mission iis to ensure Afro-Caribbean women understand their worth and guide them through heartbreak. She becomes embroiled in a fake relationship with Malakai for a social experiment for her show. But the late nights talks, sizzling chemistry and fake public display of affection…..can she open herself up to something more meaningful.
Will be worrying about this little lady all day. Just dropped Belle off at the vets to see if they can find out why she has stopped jumping, putting g weight on her back legs and no walking up the stairs 🥲Blood tests, x-rays and scans for investigation. ❤️🐾🐶

1. Baking Easter cookies/biscuits, taking the dogs out and movies with the girls.
2. The swifts by Beth Lincoln. As it was a middle grade mystery I just expected so much more. I felt it dragged, hardly any suspense - disappointed.
3. I loved reading Nancy Drew and Sweet Valley High 💕📕
How cute are these 🐣 All spotted whilst out walking Lola and Belle 🐾🐶💕

It‘s pouring with rain outside my window today, technically spring showers ☔️ 🌷🤣
#wondrouswednesday
1. Christmas - we are all off together. I love watching the girls faces, eating great food cooked by hubby, playing games etc - just the best time 💕
2. My hubby, Paul and I have been together for nearly 25 years. I go to him if upset, anxious, ill etc, don‘t know what I‘d do without him ❤️
3. Taking our dog over the farm fields, going on caravan holidays and visiting my nan who always made the best fruit cake
Great questions!
Athena Liu has know June Hayward since studying at university together. Athena dies in a freak accident and June gets hold of an unfinished manuscript Athena was working on. How far will June go to keep what she rightly believes is hers?
I loved the first person voice throughout. The author tackles racism, cultural appropriation and the threats of social media. Full of dark humour, lies, scandals and deceit.
