I‘ll go first… mine is The "Powerless" series. I don‘t know why, I‘ve heard so many good things about it, but I have absolutely no desire to pick it up.

I‘ll go first… mine is The "Powerless" series. I don‘t know why, I‘ve heard so many good things about it, but I have absolutely no desire to pick it up.

3.8 ⭐️ I may be a little biased as I work as a therapist in a prison, which led me to wanting to smack the crap out of the FMC 90% of the time. Otherwise, it was a good thriller. Had to second guess myself a lot of times, but I wasn‘t overly surprised by the end. OK, that‘s not completely true. There was one scene that when I found out about and I was like “well damn”. Overall, a fun read, and I will try this author again in the future.
1.6⭐️ yep… I‘m done. Technically I finished the first two stories of this set, so I‘m not gonna say DNF… Just choosing not to finish the series. I can‘t, it makes me cringe. In book once she writes about a romance author, who has no experience with sex, so the sex scene suck… Almost feel like she was talking about herself. They‘re cold and distant and forced. That would be fine if there was a plot worth reading, which there is not. #Roll100

1.4⭐️ I finished it, so when I guess. This is only Book one out of this four book series that I have for my #Roll100 and I don‘t know how I‘m gonna get through the next three. I know it‘s a short story so everything has gotta happen fast, but the Insta love is sickening. He‘s literally telling his so-called best friend two hours after meeting this girl that shes the one. And that quote with the picture, six hours in. 🤞 for the next three.

November brings a lot of interesting reads to the table, and I‘m looking forward to reading as many as possible. Catching up on some of my #FriendsPick read for the year as well as some of my #ReadBannedBooks , though I don‘t know if I‘ll get through as many of them as I want before the end of the year. But the important thing to remember here is not to stress about how much you read, but to truly enjoy the stories you do read. #BookSpinBingo

For November‘s, #Roll100, two of the books have already been read in prior months. Which leaves just number 19, which is a four book collection. With that being said, if I do have time, I will try to read some of the ones that I missed from previous months. If it‘s number was rolled, and I don‘t read it by the end of this year, it‘s been deleted from my Kindle.

15 books read, 3 DNF‘s and 2 bingos. All in all, a very successful reading month for October. Let‘s see what November has in the store. #BookSpinBingo

4.1⭐️ and to complete out my October reads, I am with this creepy little short story. I have read Joe Hill before and I didn‘t get the creep vibes from his full length features as I did from this 54 page book. I am still shaking off the heebie-jeebies. Was I terrified… No. Did it make me question sounds… 100%! Fun way to end the month!

4.5⭐️ 135 chapters plus an epilogue. Yes, it‘s only around 700 pages but still that many chapters can be slightly intimidating. This was the September/October #Fable book read for #RoaringWolfFrightNight. In the end, I enjoyed it. It definitely gave the creepy vibes. What threw me off was the religious twist that it has. But you know what I am so glad I read it, and I‘m glad I finished it before the end of this month.

Nope… you killed it, absolutely ruined it for me. Not that I was going good to begin with, because this took a really warped turn from book one. Which is saying a lot because it booked one was already messed up. But I wanted to finish Indies and Lux‘s story. But then you took this over, possessive alpha male, and said… Maybe he wants to share his woman. Seriously, it‘s not even worth continuing. Deleted all three books from my Kindle.

3.9⭐️ This one had me rolling. But I just can‘t get over the ending, which greatly disappointed me. Not the knowledge of who the daughter was but what they did to Charlie himself. That shit kind of sucked. Overall, though, it was such a fun book as only Christopher Moore can do.

4.5⭐️ well, I like that one better than the first one. I wasn‘t bored with the majority of the book so that was a positive. But that ending… Why? I hope this doesn‘t get any weirder, but seeing that she just released book 6 and this is 2, It‘s going to. Anyways, it‘s a good book, you should read it. This is also my #DoubleSpin for my #BookSpinBingo. #HomeTownBookclub

As we move into November, and closer to the end of the year, we decided to take some of the pressure off in the #FableBookClub and help up catch up with are reading goals. This month in our thrillers and chills group #RoaringWolfFrightNight, we are reading The Ballad of Black Tom (150 pages). And in fantasy we will be reading The City In Glass (216 pages) at #TheWyvernScrolls. Links for both our below.

4.3⭐️ as much as I tell people to check their trigger warnings, I messed up and didn‘t check my trigger warnings. In my defense, I wasn‘t expecting there to be a list of trigger warnings with this book. I went into this thinking I was reading a dark fantasy, which it was, but it was much darker than I expected. Anyways, it was really good, but it was a lot. #Fabel #TheWyvernScrolls

4.2⭐️ oh man, I have never wanted to recommend/not recommend a book so bad in my life. This book is the depravity at its best… Or worse… Depending on how you take it. This isn‘t dark romance, it is straight out horror and brutality. Is there a romance aspect? I guess you could say that. You can also say a Stockholm syndrome, but I can see why she ends up with the guy at the end. As always, CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS! This had me physically ill!

3.7⭐️ I have to admit, this book is nowhere near as good as Bunny… but that doesn‘t change the fact that it was still good. It left me intrigue me confused, asking 1 million questions. And then when it answered one, it gave me 50 more. But it ask the question what are you willing to lose for your most perfect self? I can give you a therapeutic answer, but honestly, I just really enjoyed the read. #HometownBookClub.

4.1⭐️ That was interesting. Definitely not what I expected, but I can see the supernatural vibes, though the similarity ends at the family of hunters. This book took us on an exploration of how much hate can dictate, corrupt, and destroy lives. How judgment based on differences can breed that hate. Yet, how love and forgiveness can create a sense of acceptance and connection. This one was well written for a short horror story.

2.1⭐️ this book was super short, which could be both a good or a bad thing. Bad thing because if it was a bit longer, more of the story could‘ve come together. The ending for this thing sucked as it felt incompleted. It was a good thing because I didn‘t have to read it anymore of it. This is labeled as a dark romance, but it didn‘t feel like a romance. It just felt dark! More of a smutty horror story, cause the romance was blah.

5⭐️ I want to say I tried to not finish this book, as I am reading this as a #buddyread with @StayCurious , @Roary47 and many more; however, once I started, I couldn‘t put it down. I love this series, which is why I have decided to read it again. But after book 3, this is 4, I am 100% hooked. So I tried to follow the schedule, but that only lasted a day, and I‘m OK with that 😁 looking forward to the next book, but I‘ll try and wait for the group.

3.8⭐️ Halloween slasher retelling with a dark romance twist… yes please. I know I say this all the time, but please check your triggers warnings, things get bad in this one. But if you enjoy slasher movies/books, and you‘re a dark romance girly, this may be one for you to check out.

Warning: proceed with caution! No, for real. This isn‘t even the darkest thing I‘ve ever read, and I was very confused about my feelings. I wanted some dark horror romances this Halloween, and I‘m gonna say this one didn‘t disappoint. But it had me questioning my own sanity a couple times. I‘m not gonna say don‘t read it, because I‘m gonna read number two. Just check your trigger warnings, please. 3.6⭐️

3.6⭐️ for this entire trilogy. These are the last two books of the series, and I actually enjoyed it. It reminded me of the orphan Black TV series, which is one of my favorite series of all time. However, the only thing that I wish they wouldn‘t have done was labeled this horror. Thriller or suspense, absolutely, but there was no real horror vibe to this for me.

3.7⭐️ trying to start this month off right with this short horror story. Its definitely got that creep vibe with a little ick thrown into it. Every time the FMC bleeds, she has to kill another version of herself. And as humans, we bleed more then we think. I think i expected a kittle more by the description, but had to remember that this was a really quick read. And to find out, it‘s actually a trilogy, and I have already started book 2.

I had a pretty unenthusiastic month of reads for September. I read a total of three books, but I‘m hoping to do so much better this month. I got a whole slew of horror and horror romance in line for the month so I‘m kind of excited. But of course I have a few fantasy and comedy included as well. I also have a list of books that I‘m behind in and plan to make my primary read in November, so we‘ll see how that goes. #BookSpinBingo

It‘s October… let the Hans commence. For the #FableBookClub this month, we will be continuing with Imaginary Friends in our thrillers and chills group #RoaringWolfFrightNight. This month in fantasy we will be taking on something a little darker with Juniper & Thorn at #TheWyvernScrolls. Links for both our below.

3.9⭐️ to be honest, I was a little disappointed in this one. I had so many expectations after Lights Out, and this one just didn‘t measure up for me. I think the only reason I continue to read it was because I was a little obsessed with Junior in book one. It was still good, just not quite what I expected.

4.4⭐️ this one had a really slow start for me, so I was very glad that I was reading it with my #HometownBookClub otherwise I would have DNF. And it was good, after you got past chapter 15. I was slow to read this, but I will continue, especially since I made a little bargain with my Book Club to keep reading the series. But honestly, while it may have been at a slower pace, I would‘ve read it on my own.

3.1⭐️ I love, cuties, corny Romance books. I also love spicy steamy, dirty romance books. This book showed me that I don‘t like them together. When you go from being so corney and borderline‘s juvenile to some steamy/vulgar scenes… It just doesn‘t mesh well. I also cringed a little over the Insta love in this book. I don‘t always mind it, but it was super cringe here. Overall though, the premise of the story was pretty good.

4.8⭐️ Holy hell, Batman! I have no idea why I decided to only read book one of this trilogy this month. Because it‘s taking everything in me right now not to go and grab book too, which is on my shelf, as well as book 3. It was so intense and so good. If you enjoy mafia romances, pick this one up. And do yourself a favor, plan to read all three because I‘m gonna wait but it‘s gonna suck.

4.2⭐️ I had assumed that WAG was talking about the dog on the cover of the book, it was not it stands for, wives and girlfriends. I also realize that this was book 2, thinking I did not own book one I kept reading it only to find out… I do have book 1. Doesn‘t matter, as it does well as a standalone. Overall, this was a super cute and fun/fast read. I do plan to continue the series… Going back to book one… Lol.

So I‘ve decided to keep a better track of the series that I‘m currently reading, so I can then attempt to complete the series. However, I didn‘t realize how many I was in the middle of. And I say that knowing that not all of them are on this list. This may take a lot more time than I thought, but at least I‘m starting now.

OMG, it‘s September. We are only 4 months away from the end of 2025… how is this a thing right now. August was a better reading month for me, so I am hoping for a repeat this month. Speaking of, here is my list for this month #BookSpinBingo. Happy Reading Everyone 📖

Doing a quick cleanse of my pallet before we start September reads, but no better way to start the Ber months than with some cute Halloween kid stories. My favorite here is zombies don‘t eat veggies. Hispanic parents trying to convince their kid that he needs to eat brains when all the kid wants to do is eat veggies, zombie style… Lol. Super cute one about accepting who you are while accepting others for who they are.

5⭐️ I love this series. It‘s been a min since I read Red Rising, the first book, but I still remember how impactful it was. Book 2, did not disappoint. And that cliffhanger, 😱, left me with my mouth open, trying to catch my breath. 10/10 recommend this series. Anybody I have recommended it too also tell me how much they love it. It is a science fiction, fantasy and dystopian that‘s truly out of this world. If it‘s not there, put it on your TBR.

It‘s fall y‘all… or at least close to it. Let me introduce the new books for the #FableBookClub. If you like the thrills and chills, join us at the #RoaringWolfFrightNight. If fantasies more your speed, join us at #TheWyvernScrolls. Links for both our below.

4.2⭐️ This was not my favorite of the series, but it was still amazing. These stories leave your heartbreaking, but they‘re beautiful. I‘m also a little sad realizing I have one book left to complete the series. I love these short little stories about this café, and I will miss it when it‘s done. Though secretly I‘m still hoping he writes another one.

4.6⭐️ I love this book more than I thought I would. The chemistry between the MMC and the FMC was amazing, and the mouth on the MMC was impeccable. Always love a good Fay romance, but you throw on a little vampire with it, I‘m totally on board. Looking forward to the next book.

4.4⭐️ I had book of hangover after this read. You know the expression “walking in someone else‘s shoes”, well Morrison hit that feeling out of the park. It was emotional, gritty, and heartbreaking yet beautifully told. This painting added left me with a lot of emotions, and I almost didn‘t post it. However, I think emotions are important and I feel this painting is a wonderful depiction of the emotion stirred within this book. #ReadBannedBooks

4.5⭐️ this was not my favorite Grady Hendrix book. Couple of times I wanted to chuck it because of how hard the content was to read. So why a 4.5… because Hendrix is a master writer. It may have been hard to read, but holy crap was as a roller coaster for me. Any emotion I could possibly feel, I was feeling and by the end of the book I was in freaking tears. So despite my personal feelings, I bow down to the master. #Fable #RoaringWolfFrightNight

3.2⭐️ the author begs you to check your trigger warnings with this book, so do I. She describes it as being dark, gritty, and containing a lot of topics that will be triggering and unsettling for some people. I think that‘s water down a little bit, because damn, this got dark really quick. Definitely a horror dark romance and the content is depraved. If that‘s not anything you enjoy, don‘t pick up this book. #41 for #Roll100

3.2⭐️ So this book is part of a set that I bought off TikTok… Autographed by the author ✍️, motorcycle club romance. The thing is this was an Novela, but when I was looking at the reading order, it appeared that this was book one. That being said, I don‘t think this particular book is a fair judgment on her writing. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series, and learning more about the Sons of Erebus motorcycle club.

3.7⭐️ I honestly still don‘t know how I feel about that entire ending. Did I see some of that coming, yes, its a YA. It‘s easy to figure it out. That sounds bad, but I struggle YAs as it‘s written for younger audiences so sometimes the plot, the premise or the mystery doesn‘t quite add up to what you would get in other reads. Was it good, yeah it was. It‘s not my favorite mystery of all time, but overall it was worth the read. #HomeTownBookClub

3⭐️ Well this book hit me a little different than most. Because I didn‘t hate it, but I didn‘t love it at all. In fact, I wanted to DNF it multiple times, but there wasn‘t a valid reason for me to do it. Because it was a good story I just wasn‘t connecting to it. Took me two weeks to read 350 pages and a 50%. I really questioned myself. It was good but it has been deleted from my Kindle. #69 for #Roll100 and #DoubleSpin for #BookSpinBingo

2⭐️ this is a vampire love story where our MMC finds the reincarnation of his soulmates soul every generation. The best part about this book, was it was short enough that I could finish without having to DNF. Oh, and I get to take another one off my Kindle. This was #15 for August. #Roll100 and my #DoubleSpin for #BookSpinBingo

4.2⭐️ and this will make my last read for July. I am exhausted, but I completed my goal getting these last three books read before the end of the month. This one is cute, and I enjoyed it for the most part. There were definitely things that I would‘ve liked to seen in the story, as well as things that I could‘ve lived without. But overall, it‘s something I would keep on myself. This was my #Roll100 book number 84 for July.
