I‘m disappointed in myself with for bailing on this one. There is an amazing amount of information, including photos and footnotes. I unfortunately can‘t seem to absorb everything properly. I‘m sinking in all the details and obvious back/forth that is required in order to get the whole picture of what was happening😢🤷🏻♀️

bailedI'm all for a character driven story & this one is well written in that way, but I got 4 hours into the audiobook & needed SOME plot to kick in. It's very slow moving & I had no idea where we were supposed to be heading. It got to the point that the main character was in a situation that had me 😬 & I bailed.
I've heard good things about this author & I did enjoy her writing style so I plan to try a different of hers for #AuthorAMonth @Soubhiville
bailedI don‘t think I‘ve ever bailed on so many books as this month. This is another one that started out great (a woman looking for her two granddaughters who went missing after their mother was murdered). Unfortunately it turned into a mix of dystopia, fantasy, and magical realism 😵💫
It was an audioread and maybe my English isn‘t good enough but I completely lost track of the storyline and frankly, I didn‘t bother, I just wanted it to be over.

Davi is the centre of her universe. Whenever she dies she respawns at the beginning of her adventure and has been doing so for over a thousand years. Yes, that would blunt the edges of any of us, but she was too blunt to be likeable.
DNF @ 22% - there was nothing that enticed me to read on.
