Meet the new addition to the family, Lilo. She, along with 4 others were found abandoned in the parking lot of my job. But happy ending...all of them now have forever homes. She is super tiny and needs to be bottle fed. She is barely bigger than the palm of my hand...such a snuggle bug. We love her already!

Loving this series so far. The narrative can be a little disjointed at times...but what else can you expect when you are jumping along the timeline causing havoc. The characters are so much fun and the storylines are bonkers. This is right up my alley. On to book 3!

This one bounced all over the place, but done in an excellent way. The characters were intriguing and just as you settled in with them for the long haul, the perspective would change. A interesting take on the collapse of civilization, the focus far more on the human element then most others. Definitely recommend!

Anyone a Kindle unlimited subscriber? Is it worth it? I am currently a Scribd member, and love it except I am limited to 3 ebooks and 1 audiobook a month. I can always find things to read on Scribd but I am afraid the same may not be said for kindle unlimited. Doing their 7 day trial right now... So far so good, but I can't see everything on offer. What do you think Littens?

Jas16 I saw someone else suggest this and so I am doing the same. I started a separate KU wish list and when I see books that I want to read that are eligible I add them to the list. Once it is long enough (at least over $10 in value) I will subscribe for a month, cancel, and repeat. 7y
RabidReader Thanks for the feedback @Jas16... I may just have to give it a shot. 7y
Sace I use Kindle Unlimited. I can read 10 books at a time and I can keep them forever it seems. I've got a few books that have been on my kindle for months. I have a weird mix of books that aren't that current and mostly in Spanish so I can't really speak to weather its worth it in regards to bestsellers etc. 7y

Excellent book! My anxiety was running high for this family facing a centuries old stalker, who can change his face at will. He could be anyone and be anywhere... Standing right next to them wearing the face of a husband, father, or trusted friend. Again this was an excellent book and I look forward to book 2. #litsyatoz "J" selection

I will definitely read more by Lisa Unger. This got very interesting very fast and kept me guessing. Just what I was looking for in a thriller. This falls in a category I find lately to feel kind of hokey, and the beginning felt that way for this one too. But it wasn't long and I was enthralled with what was being hidden, the secrets, and the lies... And ultimately how it all was connected. Fun read.

On the fence about this one. While I read it quickly and kept coming back to it, it felt like it fell a bit flat. This is any parent's worst nightmare, and thats what probably drove me on. Holding out hope that the boy would be found and that he would be found safe. I had to know how it ended, who did it, and why. That's where I get stuck... I was consumed with the need to know even though it seemed two dimensional. I give ⭐⭐⭐ and a so-so rating.

This book was not what I was expecting... I don't know what I was expecting but this was not it... It was fantastic! Loved every second of it, and was immensely sad when it ended. I tried to savor it, make it last but I couldn't put it down... So it goes. It was filled with magic, fairy tales, forgiveness, and love. Characters you love, love to hate, then understand in different ways. The author is an artist.

How do you get away with murder? Don't get caught! There were plots within plots in this one: revenge, escape, greed, paranoia and brutality. I thought I knew how this would play out... But then I found I was wrong, then right, and then oh so wrong once more. It was like watching a train wreck in slo-mo or watching a building implode. Slow but certain chaos. #litsyatoz "K"

"Do you behave better when you are being watched?" That is the question this book tries to delve into... What are we when we have an audience to question every action and motive? Who do we become when eyes and ears are upon us at all times? This book was incredibly creepy! It didn't feel so far removed from reality and where we may find ourselves down the road, if we lose ourselves completely to social media and the circus that encircles it.

This was an excellent book...it kept me engaged throughout. With only a small lag in the middle. It probably was just me though. I finished this probably 3 days ago and needed time to digest this. That ending! Geez! This was a unique take on zombie, post apocalyptic times, and post pandemic storyline. Not what I was expecting at all... and I loved that. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is another review hard to put into words... It was a book that hits you right in the feels. I rooted for Leonard hoping desperately that someone would save him, someone would notice, that he could save himself. It really made me think on the impact we can have on people just by noticing them, trying to understand them, and just being there. Makes you want to walk more gently in the world and stomp when there are injustices. #litzyatoz "Q"

Not sure yet how I feel about this. Listening on audio and well, the narrator is interesting. The attempts to voice all the characters is kind of silly. This would have been good for a cast of voice actors. But it is minor I guess. It is definitely starting to get more interesting 50% through. So I will have to see how this pans out.

I grabbed this one solely on a whim and so glad I did. It delves somewhat into a controversial subject.. Namely, the right to die in your own terms when terminally ill. But so much more than that it was the journey of a young boy and old man becoming unlikely friends and being just what they each needed at the stages in life they occupied. This was emotional and uplifting! I loved Mr. Peterson... It was hard to let him go!

This was my first Christie book and it was so much fun! The dialogue and characters were hilarious while they matched wits against the Secret Adversary... Triumph was quickly met with obstacles and vice versa. I was kept guessing at the elusive Mr. Brown to the very end. Question to all the Netgalley veterans.. Is there a time limited on a book you've been approved for? I am a newbie to this and I am sure this is the first of many questions.

I got a ton of books going at once... I am not quite used to so many. Before Litsy I was strictly a one book at a time kind of girl. Now with Serial, I read a chapter with my coffee in the morning. An audiobook for my commute. A palate cleanser for when I need a break, and then my main book. This just came in one hold from Overdrive which has a deadline. So up the ladder it goes to the main book. Never thought I could juggle so many stories. ❤📚

This is probably my favorite movie of all time... and I have never read the book. I know, I know! I can hear the collective gasp from here. It is a movie I will watch if I come across it on tv no matter how far along it already is. Went to see it as a midnight showing on one of my first dates with my husband. It has always had a place in my heart throughout my childhood and adult life. It is now time to storm this castle! 💓

RabidReader Off topic but the cropping tool for photos is driving me crazy! It creates this tiny little image most of the time, and I can't manage to not cut off practically everything.. So it is either really blurry or abstract to the point of being unrecognizable.. 😒 Anyone else having these issues? 7y
LauraBrook I love the movie and have never read the book either! One day. And for the photo part, I just take a photo from further back, and then when it crops, you can zoom in too, and it won't get distorted. I've found out that even when it's cropped into the square you need a little space around what you want to show up. 😊 Hope it helps! 7y
JacqMac Same. I love the move. My kids love the move. My husband can quote the movie because we watch it so much. Reading the book would probably be a good idea. Lol And yes, cropping the pictures also makes me crazy. 7y

At first I really wasn't sure what to think of this book. It seemed to outline a cranky old man's day to day life... Nothing spectacular, until the flashbacks really began to paint the picture of his past while currently new people were thrown into the mix, giving him a new sense of purpose. I laughed and cried, yelled out in joy and in heartbreak. This is a story that makes you look at your own connection to the world and its possible impact. 👍

@litsyatoz this was my "I" selection. While interesting this one had moments that made me roll my eyes and want to toss the book... Which I refrained from as I read this on my Nook. Fortunately those parts were less frequent as the book went on. Not sure if this a debut book but it felt that way. Still good enough to try the sequel. This fits somewhere between pick and so-so. So I gave it a pick for now.

Huh. Well the premise was interesting. But it took far too long to get really moving and then once it did it bounced all over the place... Who done it? Why? Is this real, is he crazy? I felt there was far to much build up for a rushed and not really fleshed out ending. The resolution ended up being handed over but with none of the ah ha moments for a good mystery or thriller etc. I don't even know if that was what this book was going for. So-so.
