Suddenly I'm finding it much harder to read, since I now get carsick and planesick and eveningsick... But we couldn't be more excited to add this little polka dot to our little evacuation party!

It's not the only focus of the book, butI have to say it's probably the most resonant and finely drawn depictions of complex grief and widowhood I've found in fiction.
My only criticism is that the comma splices drove me crazy, but most people aren't the grammar stickler I am, and it was obviously done with a stylistic purpose.
Amazing #beachinbookswap package! Lots of books I have been dying to read or already love, including You Can't touch My Hair. But I am most obsessed with this tote bag! I need this print in my life, on my wall, on my clothes, everywhere.
All my boys waiting for me in bed 😊😍😊😍
@violabrain This package was such a treat to come home to! I feel about this tote bag exactly the way #babyBash does: like I love it so much I want to eat it! 😁 Can't wait to read these books too. You did a great job!!! ☀️❤️☀️❤️☀️

I love the art on these covers. The first book in the series was really fun and light, but also taught me a bit about the culture of Singapore.
Just a few chapters in, and I've already learned about a multi-panel Chinese scroll painting from 1691 that depicted a royal summer court. Google the Palace of Nine Perfections. It's really cool! 🏯🌏

This tiny little guy with bat ears has TOTALLY stolen my heart. Littens, meet baby Bash (Sebastien)!
One of my favorite #IndependentBookstores is also the source of my favorite water bottle. 💧😚
This makes me happy every time I look at it.
Hot off the press! This particular book hasn't been added to Litsy yet, but I'm really looking forward to it! How many of these authors can you identify from the photo?

@Jinjer do you have tracking for this month's book? Starting to get a little worried 😞
Fred Korematsu and his quest for justice.
"...a story about America and the frailty of its promises of freedom and equality in times of crisis."

I feel like this book is 40% sex, 40% drug use, 10% malaise & alienation, and 10% cockroaches.👄 👩❤️💋👩 👩❤️👩 💉💊💉💊 🕷️
And yet I'm still finding bits of beauty in it. Way outside my comfort zone, but more accessible than I would have thought.

Having a little informal memorial service for our Myshkin. We invented a cocktail to name after him, and now we're reading cat poems aloud.
I hope he knows how very much we love him. 💔
My sweet, goofy, fluffy fur baby is in the hospital and just suffered a cardiac arrest. Not sure he will make it through the night and I can't stop crying.
