My first John Green, might be my last, not because it isn't good, it is, but right now it was a bad choice for someone having anxiety problems, but hey MC and I are on the same med now, so that was weird 😂. Also it's not my norm, so no shade, just maybe not for me.

#24in48 winding down, I have finished two books, and I'm not quite done, but I'm not sure I'll get anything else finished in time. We'll see! I've got some pizza on tap for dinner, and will work on an audio during some chores for awhile.

#24in48 I've skipped around a lot and not actually finished anything else yet. I'm a J R Ward fan and am visiting some of her stories writing as Jessica Bird, which still have the style she's known for, the damaged super badass with heart. I plan to get a little farther before calling it a night on Day 1. See you all tomorrow!

The Gospel of Loki | Joanne M. Harris
post image
Pickpick

Joanne Harris' The Gospel of Loki actually came out before Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology. They are both good, including many of the same myths. As much as I like Neil, I actually enjoyed Joanne's treatment more, with Loki serving as the narrator, and all stories from his point of view. I loved the asides and commentary from him. Of course I imagine him as Tom Hiddleston now lol!

Very good, though I find I really need to focus with Valente's style. I recommend it if you are a fan of Douglas Adams, or comedic sci-fi in general.

One of Free Sync audiobooks this year, I read it to fulfill a during wartime requirement. I enjoyed it, such a daunting task he faced, and so much luck with people helping to look out for him, though so much danger still. I recommend it.

I got this through the Sync summer audio program. I wasn't crazy about it, but I can't really pin down why.

Daisey I know what you mean. I liked it and gave it a pick, but it did not wow me like it seemed to others. (edited) 1y
