I don‘t completely understand this book, yet I love it. I was all in for the strange world the narrator inhabited, and in trying to follow what it all meant. I need and want to read it again. Another book I would never have gone anywhere near if not for my beloved #tournamentofbooks! #tob22

Since this book ended up on all of my regular Best of 2021 lists, and it‘s on #ToB2022, and I found it on sale, and I love Ishiguro…clearly this was the choice for first new book of 2022. I am LOVING it. Why did I wait so long to read it? #TournamentofBooks

Libertie: A Novel | Kaitlyn Greenidge

so-so

Read for #tob22 #tournamentofbooks and I‘m sad to say it wasn‘t a great one for me. Historical fiction isn‘t my genre, so it‘s partially on me but I just felt like I was trudging toward the end. I will say, the narration was great in the audiobook and the character development was a high point.

Ruthiella I‘m reading this now. So far, so good -1/3 of the way through- but it‘s not settling my pants on fire or anything. 5mo
