I didn‘t like this one as much as the first book. Not enough of Daenerys! But it definitely gets exciting at the end.
All my plant shopping, balcony gardening, running and cooking today were accompanied by the drama, intrigue and fighting of Westeros. I‘m loving the #ImaginaryPlaces created by GRRM, and I‘m remembering all over why I‘m team Tyrion all the way 🙌 #AllPowertotheImp
Earlier today I was sitting at the pool in 86 degree weather now . . . Oh well. Its cozy :) 🌧 Thats Kansas for ya. Still trucking on this chunkster.
I finally finished my 2nd book for the #BookFitnessChallenge so only 4 to go. Maybe I should stay away from all the #chunksters if I want to reach my goal. 900+ pages takes more than a week for me to read 😁
I convinced myself to go for a 🏃 this afternoon. I'm not the fastest runner but my short legs managed to run 3km in less than 18 minutes 💪 I'm really pleased with that result! Goal for the end of the summer = 5km straight, no walking 🤞
Week 2 of the #BookFitnessChallenge wasn't as successful as week 1. I'm a little behind with all my goals but I'm hoping to catch up the next couple of weeks.
I'm teaching myself how to knit so that has taken up some time. And then there's the EU parliament election and the Danish general election where I try to follow debates, so my reading time is limited. Hopefully I'll finish tagged 📖 this weekend! #BFC

This is my review for a book I just finished reading for the #catchupgot readalong. Now, I‘m going to start #astormofswords. If I don‘t catch up with the #catchupbookclub for this readalong then I‘m okay with it because these books are huge but I‘m happy that I can talk about this series with the other people who are participating in the readalong.
If half of an onion is black with rot, it is a rotten onion. A man is good, or he is evil.
A good act does not wash out the bad, nor a bad act the good. Each should have its own reward.
I've had a pain in my shoulder the last couple of days so there hasn't been much progress with the #BookFitnessChallenge. I did some yoga this morning with focus on neck and shoulders but the rest of day I just spent reading outside with the sun shining for once and I finally had some time to organize my flower pots 🌻☀
The drapes kept out the dust and heat of the streets, but they could not keep out disappointment.
I'm glad that atleast we're getting an ending but i'm not liking the rushed season but it is what we end up with. So i've decided to reread the books, atleast they make some sense 😞
Last day of week 1 #BookFitnessChallenge and I started the day with strength training and some yoga stretches before work. I eat my breakfast at work so I'm a big fan of overnight oats with a 🍌
I met all my fitness goals plus some extra and I finished my first 📖
Total points this far: 62
Another grad semester in the books and back into books I go...#summerbreak
Happy Mother‘s Day!!! I get to do my favorite thing all day.... lay in bed and read a book 📚 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Day two is coming to an end in Denmark. I did 40 minutes of yoga with Erin from Five Parks Yoga, this video focusing on a better posture. A lot of sitting at a desk at work and reading 📚 at home isn't always good for the body so I love shoulder and back opening yoga! Now it's time to relax with one of my favourite characters from #ASOIAF
I look forward to see everybody's progress tomorrow 💪
Oh, to be sure, there is much we do not understand. The years pass in their hundreds and their thousands, and what does any man see of life but a few summers, a few winters? We look at mountains and call them eternal, and so they seem...but in the course of time, mountains rise and fall, rivers change their courses, stars fall from the sky, and great cities sink beneath the sea. Even gods die, we think. Everything changes.
For someone who has enjoyed reading since childhood. I just found this so touching and beautiful! 💖📖
With #GameOfThrones drawing to a close, I am revisiting the book series. A Clash of Kings is an underrated and too often overlooked book 2. My full review - https://everydayshouldbetuesday.wordpress.com/2019/04/23/revisiting-george-r-r-m...
#MayMovieMagic #Day7 #RedRightHand #StarTrekSummerMay #Ethics In the books as well as the show, Melisandre is the Red Right Hand Of Stannis & her god R‘hllor which causes any Ethics Stannis may have had to vanish.Book Melisandre though isn‘t quite as cold blooded as the show Red Woman, she genuinely believes she‘s doing the right thing & in her defence, her god seems to be the only one showing up! I love her picture on my battered original edition.
I have been taken a break from social media because we've been busy busy busy the last month, but there's always time for books.
I'm working my way through the "A song of ice and fire" series for the #ATY2019 and my own #chunkster challenge. I've read them 7 years ago, but they are definitely word a reread!
You know, I‘m not sure I liked this one as much as the first one, but still a great, great read. Started slow-ish with lots of details and more details (love!). There is a point around the middle when huge stuff starts happening. I couldn‘t put the book and audio down in the second half. I never know what these characters are going to do! I despise some of them-they‘re so awful. And I really love others, which terrifies me because none are safe!
Halfway thru A Clash of Kings and I wish I could read it much faster than I am. Alas, the end of the #homeschool year takes some time plus there is general adulting to do. Things are really starting to pick up-I‘m hoping to get a huge chunk read today. Last night just as I was stopping for the night, someone key was killed!!!! (Big shock)
I finished season one of the tv show and am ready to start the second! I think the books are better so far!
The steps are steep and full of “No Trespassing” warnings.
A sunny 63°F/17°C day spent on the trails for nearly 2 hours. I didn‘t download an audiobook, but instead the Game of Thrones season 2 score entertained my ears.
