Here‘s my April bookspin. It‘s kind of a mess because I forgot to make it square the first time. But it‘ll do! 😉😂

Well, I am pretty proud of myself. Read this a chapter a day with @BarkingMadRead whose hashtags could get me through any book at all. What a fun experience this was, and thank you soooo much, my friend. ❤️

I just love this book. SK type characters, which always feel like either friends or people I know, a great story, and not too long. If you aren‘t a King person but want to try one out, this is a good one.
🍽️ I don‘t think I have a favorite. There are several restaurants that have specific things that I like, but I don‘t think I could pick a favorite. I would say though, that Italian is my favorite
📖 I love books with recipes! Particularly mysteries

Thanks again @BethM

Getting ready to paint my spare room and turn it into a little library. Could you imagine a more perfect paint color?!
Starting this for #losersclub. Don‘t you love it when you start a book that you know you love because you read it before but you can‘t remember a single thing about it?!!?
@BarkingMadRead #whathappenswhenyou‘re63
I haven‘t read this in years and years, but it still has the effect on me that it did then. George and Lenny are friends in a world of migrant workers where no one has friends. There is a lot of fear and sadness and meanness in this one. Although I‘ve read other Steinbeck books, this one always comes to mindfirst.

1. Fall, Tootsie Pops (especially the red ones), green, lilacs, stuck in a cabin/anyplace with snow on the ground for miles, coffee, hot tea, or Dr Pepper w cream soda- depends what time of day, Dutch Blitz
2. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, Middlemarch and A Deeper Darkness(#bookspin)
What fun questions @Eggs ! Thanks again for tagging me❤️
I read this as a teen and I remember enjoying it, but not much else. I decided to read it for this month‘s #tbrdeckofcards, and to be honest it didn‘t age well. I was overwhelmed by the animal torture and actually kept reading just to try to get to a point where I would begin to feel better, but I think I‘m just too old for this one. I kept thinking “I LIKED this?!?”
I read this today as a book that‘s been on my shelf TBR for at least five years for #LitsyLove It was good. Not great but definitely held my interest as I read it today in one sitting. After reading it I don‘t think I‘d want to see the movie.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my choice for February #2023readingbracket. I am actually surprised, as I‘ve never been a Picoult fan, other than Nineteen Minutes, which I thought was wonderful. This one was excellent, although it is a Covid book, so if you are avoiding that then skip this one!
Found this on my hotel room the other day, so of course I read it. I usually enjoy cozy mysteries, but this was not the first in the series and I think the author assumed we knew a lot more than we did. Seemed a bit silly. (Quicksand?)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tim Johnston is becoming one of my auto- buy in hardcover books. Not a thriller, sort of a mystery, but a book I fall into and become part of. Absolutely loved it!
It‘s hard to believe #LitsyLove has been around for five years. Although I was gone for a year, the LitsyLove bunch has been wonderful! For this weekend‘s five year anniversary fun, I‘m reading the tagged book, which has been hanging around on my TBR for quite a while.
I just got home from a short trip with my oldest daughter. I am tired. But when I got home look what was waiting for me! I‘ve given up trying to explain Litsy to anyone. They can‘t possibly understand how much I love you all. Thank you so much for this wonderful surprise from my TBR. You are wonderfully thoughtful and generous people Amy, Misty, and Renee! ❤️❤️❤️
Btw that‘s Jack giving himself a bath #catsoflitsy
This book is so much better than I thought it would be. The description doesn‘t do it justice. Jodi Picoult has been hit and miss with me. This book appeared in my Apple Books, and I have no memory of buying it. (I probably bought it). Maybe because it was the audiobook, maybe I was just in the right mood, but I fell into this one and didn‘t stop till the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Happy Wednesday, almost!

📚 Yes, and I love them! I never do well, but it gives me a goal and they‘re fun!

@Eggs
Y‘all have no idea how long it took me to take pics of my wonderful #muglove2023 mug and coffee I got from #SappyCindy @Cinfhen ! Therefore I included them all. The mug is hysterical- I love it! Just made some coffee too, which is delicious although I‘m drinking it at dinner time so I will probably be awake for hours. And I wanted to show you my mutant banana bread, which seems desperate to escape the pan and run away. Tastes good tho.⬇️⬇️⬇️
Well, it‘s 3:18am and I just finished this. Before I read it I read a lot of reviews that said you can tell it was one of her earlier books. To be honest, I loved Evelyn Hugo, but I loved this one too. Yes, it is definitely not Evelyn Hugo, but it was charming and sad and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus I actually completed a book for #authoramonth and there is still lots of February left!
Okay, this is a little embarrassing but this is my favorite pick for January. Not going to be a classic, but this book fascinated and entertained me, so there you go.
#2023readingbracket
Today is “reading all day” day and Izzy is up for it. Although she did complain that I need to turn up the heat. Told her to put on a sweater 😉
I tried. I promise I tried. I gave all three of these a shot and I just couldn‘t do it. Tried print and audio. Clearly there is something wrong with me. I just do not enjoy Louise Erdrich. Definitely not her fault. So I have DNF‘d three books in January. Can‘t wait for February #authoramonth crew!
Congratulations @BennettBookworm on 20k! Litsy is a wonderful place full of simply the best people! Thanks for hosting this giveaway! My favorite bookstore is Subterranean Books in St.Louis Missouri. ❤️❤️❤️
#20kgiveaway.
Well, this arrived today from Amazon (I do love Amazon) and I am assuming this is from you Cindy??!! #muglove2023
❤️❤️❤️😁😁
Well, I forgot to take a pic before I mailed it, but here is my sleepy Izzy. @Cinfhen , I mailed your #muglove package today and emailed you the tracking. It is such a pleasure to be your muglove buddy! Should be there in two or three days. ❤️❤️❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can‘t describe how much I loved this book. I wish him and his family all the best. The audiobook was wonderful!
#sharreadathon
This book had what I thought was a very interesting premise. Rachel and Liam travel back to meet Jane Austen and recover a manuscript of The Watsons as well as some letters between Jane and her sister. It seems like a good idea, but I never really got attached to any of the characters and it sort of felt like the author made it up as she went along. ⭐️⭐️⭐️pick for the idea.
#pemberlittens
Thank you @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @StayCurious for the wonderful package. Love the cards and stickers, and the book looks wonderful (and my daughter also can‘t wait to read it!).

#wondrouswednesday
1. I think at 63 I have finally figured out how to stop thinking every minute of every day, and sometimes just be. That is what‘s beautiful to me. Watching it snow, sitting with a dog in my lap, going for a bike ride.
Thanks for the tag @Eggs !!❤️❤️❤️
1. Staying at a (very nice) cabin somewhere way up in the mountains. I‘m surrounded by snow and can‘t possibly leave for another week or two. The refrigerator is stocked with prepared homemade meals of all sorts, along with plenty of snacks. There is a huge couch in front of a roaring fire and I have a dog in my lap and a hot cup of cocoa in my hand.
2. I have my nook, plus what I‘m reading now, and a couple of new ones
#twofortuesday
February picks for #roll100. Not disappointed in any of them!
#ThinkPositiveBePositive
Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday!❤️❤️
Reread this for #losersclub and #tbrtarot. I could start over right now and read it again. Great book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my #bookspin for January. Started at the beginning of the month and just walked away after about 59 pages. Picked it up again today (it‘s January so I haven‘t blown all my challenges yet!) and it‘s a completely different experience. I don‘t think I went quite far enough at first. It‘s a cold winter mystery in Sweden. If nothing else, that is enough to draw me in. ❤️
Look 👀 what came in the mail!!! Got this to keep all my #Litsylove stuff in! Bought it on sale and can‘t wait to use it!
❄️ Fleetwood Mac, Elton John
❄️ bell bottoms, Jean skirts, puffy vests, very high heeled boots.

Want to play @Ruthiella @CoffeeNBooks @dabbe
Between my buddyreads and challenges I haven‘t had time to read anything else. My goal for this readathon is to read Babel, which I just want to read.
#joyousjanuaryreadathon
I think the older I get the more I want challenged. Trying to finish books instead of quick- bailing. Trying to read more classics. I think if I didn‘t I‘d get bored. Having said that I also intersperse them in among my fun books, which could be pretty much any book that takes me somewhere!
#SundayFunday
Well. So much for no-more-kindle-on-sale-books-in-2023.
There‘s always 2024!
Just signed up for this swap! I haven‘t done a swap in several years, but this one looks simple, and I LOVE mugs!!
Thanks for hosting this not- too- intimidating swap @Cinfhen @TheKidUpstairs

Sending out my first #Litsylove of 2023! (I have still not mastered my sealing wax) 🤷♀️
