I‘m a bit behind on #TitlesAndTunes , but this was my choice for June‘s #GuiltyPleasures ….a fun first in a new series set in Vermont in a town that sounds a lot like Venice (the town is a bunch of canals). I really liked the setting and the characters, and I did not guess the murderer. Definitely worth a read, and I‘ll continue with the series!

Ah yes, my #GuiltyPleasures - and a pleasure it was. Three people meet at a strange location. Three authors write how they got there. Of course it's bloody, dirrty and wicked. Especially the first two stories are rather psychological horror. The third reminded me of the movie Alien. Rather fitting for a sci-fi horror novel, right? 😄
This book would also make a good start to get into Warhammer 40K.

Sax Rohmer's adventure thrillers are a guilty pleasure due to their racism and Rohmer's journalistic role in contributing to the racist trope of "The Yellow Peril". His best-known creation is criminal mastermind / anti-colonial patriot, Dr. Fu Manchu. Less well-known is his female counterpart, Sumuru.
Tunes are Desmond Dekker's Fu Manchu, and the original China Girl by Iggy Pop, both of which I love without guilt!

One of my #GuiltyPleasures is watching Miranda Mills's 'cosy' reading vlogs. (If you know you know. If you don't, be glad. ?)
So for this month's #TitleandTunes, I'll be reading one of Miranda's recommended cosy reads.
As for a song, no guilt at all. I just straight up love TikTok by Ke$ha "cuz the party don't start till I walk in." ?

How is it almost June? I feel little to no actual guilt about these #GuiltyPleasures, but I look forward to these brain breaks next month!

It's been a long time since I've read any of Shanna Swendson's Enchanted Inc series, but I think this is the one I'm on. Cheesy magic and cheesier romance, it's such delicious brain candy.

My choices for #TitlesandTunes for June's prompt #GuiltyPleasures are the following:

Book - I love Warhammer ❤️ A world where in one chapter more people die than in s whole George RR Martin book. Where guts are mostly found outside of people's bodies and even the air tries to kill you.

Song - I now admit liking listening to Kesha. Still 🙈 And I guess there's a lot of timber needed in the Warhammer universe 🤔

It‘s taken me a while to sort out what author I‘m going to focus on for this months #backlistreadathon, but after looking through my #SeriesLove spread, I‘ve decided on the SisterhoodSeries by Fern Michaels. Hoping for at least 4 books!
