I'm a big, 8 week old boy now! I'm much better at sleeping than i was at my 1 month update. I'm also really tall, taller than most boys at 12 weeks! Sometimes mom and dad read me books but I'm still too little for them. I prefer watching mom exercise (honestly he loves this) and making silly faces with people!

Our little guy does not like us reading books to him but he'll invent his own stories as he flips through the pages. However, with a new addition in the house we attempt to read this book each night. Even if he is playing we will still read the book to him.

Happy NYE from me and my big 2 week old boy!

Emmett can't believe he is already over 1 week old! Took this picture on this actual 1 week date, Tuesday. His little cord has fallen off already! I had a very rough labor experience, and will have a longer recovery than other moms, but each day I *am* getting better. Emmett is a great little baby and we are enjoying caring for him.

Emmett is here! After a traumatic birth experience, we are both recovering. He is a sweet little thing who enjoys grunting and being wrapped in a blankie.

So not book related (though I listened to my audiobook on the way to and from the hospital)but...this is my new nephew Mr. Maddox Carter!! I am so in love! 🥰 Gotta love me some sweet sweet baby snuggles!!
