This typically wouldn‘t be the type of book I would read. Sarah Maas seems to be a good writer. I just wish it hadn‘t taken so long to get into the book. Overall…I would give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

My second reread of this book and I still love it (CC is still my fave though!) I loved seeing all the little future references, so many things now make sense and I absolutely loved seeing the characters in a new light. Very unpopular opinion but I'm thinking maybe Tamlin isn't as terrible as I originally thought, he's definitely not good, but maybe he deserves some form of redemption?

I‘ve had this on my TBR shelf for quite a while. It was so exciting to finally read it. I loved the character of Feyre. It was such a unique retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I can‘t wait to read the rest of the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun story!! Giant egg in Lucas, KS
There was a lot of hype around this book and series, so I wanted to love it. I did enjoy the world building and the way everything is described in a nice pace, but I struggled with the familiar beauty and beast archetypes.
Ok so@I was looking at when I originally read the book and it‘s so funny I read it 7 years ago around the same time.. humm
This is a re-read for me.. normally I don‘t reread books but I remember enjoying it years ago and I bought it for my daughter she hasn‘t read it yet but I wanted to continue the series so I thought why not
I loved this book! I‘ve been in a reading slump and a coworker let me borrow this book. I devoured it and I‘m on to the second one. The author is descriptive, the plot was intriguing, and the characters are likable. I love the names, the made up lands, and the romance was just enough to be believable without seeming forced. I hear the second book is even better.
Not bad, but not for me. I can see why it's beloved-worldbuilding has some engaging aspects and characters were strong archetypes. A plucky heroine and a mysterious but secretly good-hearted man. It felt very Twilight for the new generation - but I'm at the place in my life where I want more emotional depth and protagonists that are older than 19. I have friends that adore it though...will need to decide whether or not I'm reading the sequel.
Well it was a quick read, simple and expected story line. But I couldn‘t connect to it. I felt it is ok read, and well written. Apparently second one in this series is too good. So I am going to read the next one 😃 This audio version is just brilliant. 3.5 🌟#bookspin #bookspinbingo #serieslove2023
This photo is from my mom‘s garden. For some reason whenever I take a walk there I remember this book title 🌹😅😬
Loved it! Fantasy is not my genre but I loved this! I can‘t wait to continue the series in the world of Fae. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow. I see what the hype about this book was now. I did not expect to love this as much as I did. Even for non fantasy lovers like me, this book is just so well written and captivating. There are twists and lots of suspense and I could not put it down. I loved everything about it and will be buying every single other book in the series immediately.
Reading time while my dad gets chemo. I‘m about halfway through book 1. Enjoying it but I hear book 2 is even better so I‘m anxious to get to it.
Mollie moo and I loving 🥰 a court of thorn and roses 🌹 I‘m amazed I love it 🥰 so much after I gave up on the other series which name escapes me 🤪 love it so much Iv ordered the box 📦 set , took this one out of the library incase it wasn‘t for me . Perfect escapism #marchreads #bookspinbingo #bookclubpick
I had already read this book in the past and wasn't originally happy with it but after re-reading it, my opinion has changed. There's still a little too much of the selfish, self-deprecating dialogue that goes on in Feyre's mind for my liking but overall I enjoyed thr book immensely.
Addicted. Completely addicted. Can‘t wait to read the next one!
Here we are again fluff paws 🐾 and I reading in bed 😆Maas and I haven‘t previously seen eye to eye so this is my bookclubs March pick so let‘s see…..
Good start to a series! I‘m already on book two 📚📚 Feyre was an absolute badass but like all fantasy MC there were times I wanted to slap her for not following simple instructions. I mean don‘t drink the wine! How hard is that 😂😂
Considering I read this book in less than 48 hours… that‘s enough to say I am obsessed! Absolutely captivated by the sheer intensity between characters and looking forward to reading more. #LitsyLoveReads
I was gifted the whole set and was encouraged to read all of them before I made final judgment, but this first book has a lot problems.
A Court of Thorns and Roses earns a 4/5 rating from me. While I'm happily recommending this book to like-minded fantasy romance readers, I have to admit that it feels like it could have used one more edit at the developmental level.
I will say that if you've read this book and you're feeling so-so, it's worth reading the second in the series.
“I hated feeling like a disobedient child.” There seems to be a pretty easy solution here, Feyre. 🤷♀️
Finally hopping on this bandwagon! Didn‘t realize that this was a fairytale adaptation, and I am a sucker for fairytale adaptions. 🤓
I first listened to this back in 2017 and I wasn‘t really into it. After listening to the Graphic Audio edition I can definitely say that I wasn‘t fond of the original narrator because I was able to stay in the story perfectly with the dramatization of this book. My overall enjoyment of this book was heavily influenced by the full cast narration because the story itself did have some problematic concerns. ⬇⬇⬇
Taking a chance and diving in to this series in print. 🤞🏻 Hope I like it!
This book was an amazing read. It was raw, action packed, sexy, and tragic. A perfect introduction for me into the world of SJM. The character building was great.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my third time reading this book, and I will always love it. I made myself wait two years since my last read through, and I was very excited to finally pick it back up again.
And perhaps the best part is the level-10 anticipation of getting to book two. Which I will begin…immediately.
Saw this box set on sale and Working on my Bday book wish list. Does anyone recommend the series? I haven‘t read any of the books but it sounds interesting. 🙂
Loved it. I am not one for fantasy books but this one had a good plot and kept me interested until the end.
Last post from paradise. This one frustrated me for the first half and made up for it somewhat in the second half. I‘m hooked enough to keep reading the series, and interested in seeing how the relationships progress given I already know too much about the later books from posts and reviews.
This will also be the last post with my Voyage - thanks for your 7 years of service, but a white screen of death incident means it‘s time to trade in!
mm idk how to feel about this tampon guy. I mean he‘s literally a furry feyre
The first 3 books are coming in the mail… hopefully it lives up to the high reviews 🤞🏻 I am excited!!
Here comes 2023!!! What reading goals have you set?! ✨ New books arrived today! 💌 I will be re-reading them in the NEW YEAR! #acotar #acourtofthornsandroses #sarahjmaas
To say that I enjoyed this book would be a gross understatement. Starting this series is the beginning of a magical journey into a whole new world filled with wonder, delight, tragedy, love, and, of course, darkness.
I have wanted to read this series for a very, very long time. It is the summer holidays in South Africa, so the perfect time to start a new series! 👌
I saw this man in the sandman and all i can think about is Rhysand🖤
I caved into FOMO. I'm now committed to the hardcovers all because I didn't like the neon covers.
I'm 180 pages in, and I already have sooooo many questions.
Feyre is brave, opinionated and definitely an over thinker. I like strong characters that won‘t give up and she‘s the kind of person that will fight for what she wants. It‘s the kind of book that I started to read and at some point couldn‘t stop reading. Hope the second one is as good.
Better to die with my chin held high than groveling like a cowering worm
High Fae are the vampires of 2010 and this books delivers. A fantasy of mortal meets immortal, both raised to hate and fear the other, but when one holds the key to lifting a curse... gritty, gorgeous, fierce, fanciful & oh so sensual... I can't wait to read book 2 📚
