Found this at the library when I went to pick up something else that they didn't have. It looks cute and i love cats.
Snuggling with Rawlings while I read. Getting sleepy. #readathon
Planning on participating but my day will be slightly
hi jacked by my husband‘s celebratory birthday breakfast 🥞... then he‘s on his own, Dewey‘s here I come! Anyone else joining in!? @SquidgetsRoom are you? I‘m picking my stack anon!
From Facebook photo challenge: Reading resolution. Here are some of the books I plan to read in 2019.
Such a sweet story. Animal lovers will enjoy this cute tale of a cat who befriends a library!!
My favorite kitty with a book about a very special kitty. Dewey was a library cat from Spencer, Iowa, who became famous. The book is only fair—I love kitties and of course I love libraries, but the writing is a bit saccharine for me. But there are a lot of cute Dewey pictures! This is my 3rd book for #NonfictionNovember and it‘s a quick read. Definitely should have it done by tomorrow.
Anyone else excited for the #readathon this weekend? I‘ve got my pile ready. I‘ll be busy all day Friday with work and then taking the dogs to the park so they‘re sleepy - and buying/making snacks!
A book about a library cat??? YES PLEASE! But Dewey is actually more than that. Vicki talks about the history of Spencer, Iowa and her own struggles in her life and how Dewey is just what she and the town needed. Really enjoyed reading this book and it went deeper than what I expected!
Oh my how this book took me by surprise~ it started slow and then hooked me from halfway to the end. I laughed and cried. It was quite the roller coaster. #nonfiction #catsandbooks #oldreads #historical #bringtissues
#SFMBC I'm finally posting the goodies I got from @ReadingRover . Thank you for all the fun things! I've wanted to read Dewey and the Cat news looks adorable. I'm also excited for all of the green tea😀 @Avanders
Such a blessing to have a garden these days
One of the sweetest books I've read. Love it. Makes me think of my fur baby that died. I've re-read it too. & will probably read it again one day because it's just a sweet story about a sweet cat that brought joy to people.
I clocked in 20 hours and 44 minutes in #Readathon! Really happy with that and happy I decided to nap! 😁 Now going back to bed 🤣 wrap up posts to come.
• Raise your emoji hand 🤚 if you‘re doing the Dewey this weekend! I wasn‘t productive at ALL last time because of school but hope to get in the groove this weekend 🎉😍📚 It‘s my reward for surviving this last semester of college! 😆 •
I so anticipate this event... I‘m officially booked solid for April 28th. 🎉❤️😎 Are you participating?
It‘s Dewey‘s 24 Hour Readathon month! I love this Readathon so much. You read as much as you can in 24 hours. http://www.24hourreadathon.com/. This week there is a mini challenge before the Readathon on the 28th. April 8-14 the goal is to read 1000 pages. So I am going to get that started now! Who else is doing the Readathon? www.readingsusan.com #deweys24hourreadathon
I‘m a dog person too, but Dewey is more than just a cat book.
Contest time! Name that cat!
I've always been a dog person but this book is great! It's heartwarming and funny and sweet. I'm glad I decided to finally read it.
This is probably the last book I will finish this year. It will complete my Popsugar challenge, but I am also reading it because it was one of the favorite books of a lady in our church who passed away this week. She was like a grandmother to me. She loved cats and I will miss her a lot.
Today I was completely humbled, surprised, and taken aback by this #secretsantagoespostal package - at first, I thought it was an absolute mistake, but then I saw who it was from - @MrBook and @BookBabe - it‘s not like they could‘ve accidentally done an extra swap. But it was a ‘just because...‘ parcel. I was speechless. I‘ve had a rough day, one where my MS has beaten me up badly, and to know that people like you exist?! You are WONDERFUL 💓💓💓
Thought I'd take a quick break, send a round of applause to @DeweysReadathon for 10 years of rocking our reading world and post my #10yearsin10books.
I read 9 (almost finished the 10th) and each one inspired me. Some also made me laugh out loud. So I'd personally recommend them all.
And with only about 5 hours in today (really 2 groups of unexpected company on the same day that I want to read, really, what were the chances of that?) anyway, I digress....at least I managed to get my few stragglers up to date for the week during this #Readathon!
My daughter is outreadathoning me. 😂The taller #stack is hers. (I even added the Flewelling book just to boost mine. I probably won't read it during the #readathon.)
I could say I have a stack on the kindle, but I only really have one book planned from there. Seriously though, hard to compete in size with any stack containing The Order of the Phoenix. 😂
This one was easy and an amazing excuse to show off my babies. Both from the same litter. The grey one is Grisette. The small one Paloma. #septemBOWIE
Big thanks to @Marchpane and @Cinfhen for an amazing month on Litsy. 😁😍❤️
