I love Backman. I was skeptical early on in the book but his writing never fails to win my heart by the end. Britt-Marie was indeed here. #ATY #aroundtheyearin52books

My January library stack is a bit large. But I‘m okay with that. #newyear #ATY

My life is just too busy at the moment so I hardly have time to read which is really annoying because I'm actually enjoying this book but I feel like I'm not focused enough and my thoughts are everywhere. I guess that's why I haven't really made any progress with Anna Karenina this week and I'm terribly behind on all my reading challenges 🙈

hilded I feel you, Marina - it‘s the same here. Moving was a never ending story, and to top it off work is insanely busy. Haven‘t read anything since the #AtY readathon, except for some audio hours. But yay for a new kitchen, that‘s exciting!! 👏🏻 9mo
Marina_h @hilded yeah, it's really exciting but I've been so tired the last couple of weeks. We're almost finished with all the work we can do ourself. Now it's time to bring in the professionals so I can relax a little. Bring on Easter 😊 9mo
hilded Glad to hear that the hardest part is (hopefully) over, hopes everything goes smoothly from here on ??Glad påske ?? 9mo

Rioux takes readers on a journey through Alcott‘s life, and how her most famous novel was conceived and brought to life. It then focuses on the novel‘s instant success and enduring legacy.

A must read for anyone who has a soft spot in their heart for Little Women.

Itchyfeetreader Soft spot. Check. This sounds like it was written for me! Stacked 11mo
BibliOphelia My name is Beth, and my sister is Amy. I was always pissed at my mom for not naming me Jo. 😂 This is definitely getting stacked! 11mo

This Around the Year challenge on GR looks fun too! But I also want to participatie in #Pop19 and #Booked2019.... and feel free to read what I feel like. #choiceschoices. Anyone else doing this one? #ATY

4thhouseontheleft I‘m now on the fence b/w #pop19 or ATY. I felt there was some repetition and overlap on Popsugar‘s list for 2019, but I also have a lot of books I own that would fit the prompts. Being a co-host, I‘m definitely doing #Booked2019. 😃 Although one of our prompts is on the pop19 list. 😫 1y
Lindy My like to look back on my previous year of reading and match prompts from one of these lists to the books I‘ve already read. I usually only miss on two or three; a good sign that I‘m already reading broadly. 1y
cajunsyd Oh no! It‘s that time already? I have to finish my 2018 challenges still! Always behind with my stacks! I will check all of these out and get to planning... 1y

Liz_M Thank you! I knew I could count on you to post the upcoming 2019 challenges! ☺ 1y
BarbaraBB @Liz_M Haha, but it‘s too much! Are you going to participate in some? 1y
Birdsong28 This looks really good. 📚📖 1y
Crazeedi Thanks for the info, I'm going to see which I want to do! 1y
sprainedbrain Oh, I hadn‘t seen this one yet. Around the World was the first book challenge I ever did a few years ago. 😃 1y
nomadreader I really like the read along structure of the one. Thanks for posting about it! There's a lot of overlap with PopSugar, so I may try to do both! 1y
BarbaraBB @4thhouseontheleft @nomadreader I would love to to them both (and #booked2019) but I am wondering if it is doable. 1y
BarbaraBB @Lindy Definitely. That is a great way to test your reading behaviour! 1y
BarbaraBB @cajunsyd Planning is the best part 😉😂 1y
BarbaraBB @sprainedbrain Will that challenge be continued next year? (edited) 1y
Liz_M I plan all of them 😁 and then pick and choose which prompts I complete, aiming for about half. For #aty, I might make a 6x6 bingo card. 1y
BookishMe I barely got to the 12 countries in #readaroundtheworld although my tally is more than 30 for #LitWorld2018GB. But it's been such a fantastic discovery with books from various continents. I don't think I can think about next year's reading until current plan is completed satisfactorily. ;)) 1y
BookishMe @Liz_M I have never tried a reading bingo... Something to KIV. Seems less intimidating or is that an ignorant guess ;p 1y
cajunsyd @BarbaraBB that is so true!! 1y

I can imagine this actually happening. The scariest type of dystopian novel is a realistic one. I‘m disappointed by Canada‘s role in this. I‘d like to think our government would stand up for women‘s rights. 4 ⭐️ #aroundtheyearin52books #ATY #2018
