dabbe @Clwojick We actually had to adopt them together from Saving Paws because they were considered a “bonded pair.“ Two girls, too, which is quite rare. They bonded while in the slammer together. We don't know if they came in as sisters or not (because of their names, which we didn't give them), but we like to think that they did! 🩵❄️🩵 5mo

Clwojick I love that! I know our local rescue has such a hard time adopting our bonded pairs since most people are scared to commit to two rescues. But I think it‘s almost a guarantee that they‘ll flourish in their new environment, because they have a best friend to rely on and comfort them in the transition. And I find that normally one will choose to be brave and show the other one that its all okay. 😊 #adoptdontshop ❤️❤️❤️ 5mo

dabbe @Clwojick You are so right! Pippa has epilepsy, and Kate always looks out for her when she has a seizure. And when we first got them, neither one could be out of sight of the other for even a second. It's been wonderful to see them come into their own, and now they'll leave each other and do their own thing because they finally feel safe. 🖤🐾🐾🖤 5mo

So a few days ago, I discovered that my new rescue Maggie is NOT spayed: she's in heat! I have never and I mean never had a dog that is not fixed. It's just so irresponsible and unhealthy for the animal. So as soon as this little pumpkin is finished with this (about 2 more weeks), she's going to have surgery and be all the better for it❤️
