This book was an amazing read. It was raw, action packed, sexy, and tragic. A perfect introduction for me into the world of SJM. The character building was great.

This is my third time reading this book, and I will always love it. I made myself wait two years since my last read through, and I was very excited to finally pick it back up again.
And perhaps the best part is the level-10 anticipation of getting to book two. Which I will begin…immediately.
Saw this box set on sale and Working on my Bday book wish list. Does anyone recommend the series? I haven‘t read any of the books but it sounds interesting. 🙂
Loved it. I am not one for fantasy books but this one had a good plot and kept me interested until the end.
Last post from paradise. This one frustrated me for the first half and made up for it somewhat in the second half. I‘m hooked enough to keep reading the series, and interested in seeing how the relationships progress given I already know too much about the later books from posts and reviews.
This will also be the last post with my Voyage - thanks for your 7 years of service, but a white screen of death incident means it‘s time to trade in!
mm idk how to feel about this tampon guy. I mean he‘s literally a furry feyre
The first 3 books are coming in the mail… hopefully it lives up to the high reviews 🤞🏻 I am excited!!
Here comes 2023!!! What reading goals have you set?! ✨ New books arrived today! 💌 I will be re-reading them in the NEW YEAR! #acotar #acourtofthornsandroses #sarahjmaas
To say that I enjoyed this book would be a gross understatement. Starting this series is the beginning of a magical journey into a whole new world filled with wonder, delight, tragedy, love, and, of course, darkness.
I have wanted to read this series for a very, very long time. It is the summer holidays in South Africa, so the perfect time to start a new series! 👌
I saw this man in the sandman and all i can think about is Rhysand🖤
I caved into FOMO. I'm now committed to the hardcovers all because I didn't like the neon covers.
I'm 180 pages in, and I already have sooooo many questions.
Feyre is brave, opinionated and definitely an over thinker. I like strong characters that won‘t give up and she‘s the kind of person that will fight for what she wants. It‘s the kind of book that I started to read and at some point couldn‘t stop reading. Hope the second one is as good.
Better to die with my chin held high than groveling like a cowering worm
High Fae are the vampires of 2010 and this books delivers. A fantasy of mortal meets immortal, both raised to hate and fear the other, but when one holds the key to lifting a curse... gritty, gorgeous, fierce, fanciful & oh so sensual... I can't wait to read book 2 📚
I finally caved and read this book! It‘s weird though; because this series is so popular and I‘m into book-related things on the internet, I think I know more about the series than I should. I like the characters, their journeys, and the ending of this book, but I also know that things… don‘t stay this way, even though I don‘t know how. Do I just stop here where I like the ending? Or keep going with the rest of the series? Things to ponder.
I‘m very much digging this book series so far! 🧚♀️
Feyra is brought to the faerie world in consequence of killing one of their own. There she meets Tamlin, who she blooms feelings for. What she finds out is there is a curse on the land from an evil faerie only she can break, but how?
This one was okay. I didn‘t really get the whole hype for it. I liked the romance bits, but other than that it was boring. Not a lot of world building either. I‘ll let you know how the 2nd one goes.

While I was reading this book, I really enjoyed it. It's the start of a great series, in which the second book is one of my all time favorites! Feyre is an interesting character, and I enjoy reading from her perspective. The plot hooks you, though it is a tad predictable. The ending will leave you wanting more, and like I said, the second book certainly delivers. This book, however, does not lend itself easily to re-reading.
Loved it! Cant wait to finish the series
I know I'm late to the party, but give me more of the tension between Feyre and Rhysand!
Belated entry on this - I really liked this take on the fey, and fey curses. At it's core it feels like an alternate telling of beauty and the beast meets a badass little red riding hood, but with far more political plots and a more involved backstory. If you liked Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, give this a try.
Excellent and interesting read. Enchanting and cunning magic. Lovable and detestable characters. Worth the hype!
23- an enjoyable listen that‘s available on Hoopla from my local library!
Bookish Song Nr. 38: Out of My Mind
This is the proof that you don't have to like a book to have a song connected to it. Deezer came up with Out of My Mind by Reuben and the Dark and my brain sent me back into the story. At least back to those part I still could enjoy (now I'm just waiting for the book to be over 😅)

Thought it was time to check out what all the fuss is about…

Anger. Surrender. Bliss. Devastation. Triumph. All those emotions and more are encountered in this initial book of the series. I cried. I cheered. I groaned and winced. By the end I was rooting for Feyre with all my heart, and couldn‘t wait to dive into book 2. #recentlyread #nospoilers #fantasy
P.S. Thank you to a friend of mine for prompting me to move these up the TBR and crack open the box!
I only read this because my daughter is a huge fan, bought it for me at Christmas and has been pestering me all year to read it. It‘s not my usual genre and I would never have picked it up for myself but I quite enjoyed it. It was a very interesting concept, the story kept a good pace and I even liked the characters. All in all, a good book.
I'm late to the SJM game, but I'm hoping it's worth the hype.
Very different from what I usually read, but very, very enjoyable. I flew through this and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. In fact, @Alisnazzy came home with a copy of the second book last night 😂 Recommended.
I loved this book. I could not put it down! I needed to find out what happened next at every page. This book made me fall in love with fantasy again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1. I don‘t think so, but I‘ve opened Notes on my phone and jotted down titles.
2. Just sitting down to start the tagged book, so that‘s it 😄

Stacks on stacks!
Also I don‘t want to do my assignments at all today, I just want to finish my book club read: A Court of Thorns and Roses.
Definitely worth the read. I didn‘t want to put this book down. Currently waiting for the second book to be available at my library.
If you‘re into romance and a bit of action as well as suspense, this is a good go-to.
My book haul from today. So excited to dig in!! I‘m
@Alisnazzy was reading the second book in this series last night, and I said, “I mean to read that series someday.” She got up from her chair and came back with this. I guess nothing‘s going to get in my way now (except for all the other books waiting to read 😂)
I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would given the hype. Had to listen to it twice because I tuned out a bunch the first time around.
I came down with Covid on Saturday, today I ventured outside for some fresh air. Still can‘t quite focus on my book but it comforts me to carry it with me. I only had one bad, bad, BAD day but it sure has knocked the stuffing out of me.
This dedication pushed me over the edge. Once I read the acknowledgements. & went back to this... My heart exploded ❤
I had put off reading this book because "I don't like high fantasy." Well, still probably true, but this book was the exception. The characters are so well written, that I sincerely have a strong positive emotional response to all of them: the good & the bad guys. Some of the writing was too flowery for me, but still wow ?

Excited to read the rest of the series!
Just received my special edition Velaris set of the ACOTAR series from AcryliPics, and they are gorgeous! I can‘t wait to have them on display on my shelves😍📚

Have you ever put off reading a book series because it's just not in your preferred genre? I'm kicking myself for not having read A Court Of Thorns and Roses sooner. So good!!
